The Ultimate Cheap Eats - FREE !

Dave's Ribs bites the bullet so you can bite the ribs

daves_free_ribs_600
Believe your eyes - Dave's Ribs on Queen Anne Road in Harwich (near the town recycling area) is giving away free samples.

And his smoked barbeque rib prices are 25% lower than last year too

Dave wants you to try his smoked ribs so badly he is offering free samples.  Customers are given two ribs and two sauces for zilch.  You can try a smoked pork rib and a smoked pork rib dit (the top of the line rib), and sample them with two different sauces at his neat little restaurant and take-out on Queen Anne Road between Route 124 and Old Main Street in Harwich abaft the Harwich recycling facility.

Dave says his largess is made possible by the additions to his menu. He used to only offer various smoked ribs (and their accoutrement), but this year he's added smoked fish and smoked fish pates so he can try some lost leaders to get new customers to try his fare.

He said that in the five days the sign has been out he has served almost a hundred free samples.

If you don't believe the sign, call Dave at (508) 432-1401 and ask him.

We look forward to enjoying Dave's menu.

Is this a money back guarantee from WB?

DAVE'S ROCKS! Lynn McG., my wife's longtime Personal Care Attendant went over to Dave's after K.'s death in '06 and was the Lunch Cook for awhile. She designed the Portuguese Jag-Rice sidedish recipe. Yum. I JUST got back from dinner at Dave's and indeed got a free rib. Had the fish chowdah and the 'Purist'smoked turkey sandwich... magically tender. Dave has huge hi-tech machines in back which he shipped back from Germany-- they really seal in the juices. Told 'im he'd been freshly written up here, but... as computer-savvy as Dave & his daughter are... they'd never heard of CC2day--! So tell 'em where you heard about the free rib. I didn't get the name of the lady who took my order but she had VERY cute elbow dimples...

Well that's just great. I read Ned's review of Dave's and my mouth is watering. Then, I get to the part about the "elbow dimples" and I realize he's got ulterior motives.

I didn't know in advance I was gonna get a side order of Dimples. Ya gotta trust in the inherent generosity of the universe sometimes.

as a chef..
I absolutely love smoked bbq ribs done by an expert..

I have followed Daves adventures since he opened but never found the time(working 6+ days a week)to get there to salivate and enjoy..

perhaps we'll see Ned there with the Red Hat Ladies..?

naw..he's an individual and would never join such an illustrious group..

that's why I (as a musician/chef) humor him as he humors me..

must be the 'creative' link..

never mind the dimples...

Dave's is awesome and I wish him well. I just wish my husband could find the place without getting lost (no, not Alzheimers; just geographically challenged). You eat enough of that stuff and you'll be licking sauce off dimpled elbows for sure! Bon appetit.

Harwich is freakin' weird with the Great Western Road/Queen Anne Road confusion. I'm just over the border and I get turned around half the time.

About This Blog

Life is too cheap for short wine... It's "Not just Pheasant Under Glass" anymore on Cape Cod. As hard as it may seem on occasions, Cape Cod does have inexpensive, good places to eat without maxing out your credit cards.
Since we eat out six nights a week, it is purely defensive for us to find some relief for an over-taxed palate.
