BREWSTER REC. OFFERS FUN PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS THIS FALL!!!
Not only is the Town of Brewster's Recreation Department offering an extensive selection of youth programming this fall, but adults will have a multitude of choices as well!
TENNIS - Intermediate Doubles Clinics (Tuesdays), Cardio Tennis (Wednesdays) and Stroke of the Week (Fridays) will be held at the Nickerson Courts behind the fire station on Rte. 6A starting September 23. Each of these classes has something for everyone, from beginner to expert! Instructor Susan Fraser will help you to improve your game!
YOGA - LifeForce Yoga to Manage Your Mood (Mondays) with instructor Karen Corcoran and Kripula Yoga (Wednesdays) instructed by Maria Nalini Krikorian will be offered at the Eddy School. The two types of yoga are ideal for those who want to find serenity through breathing, meditation and movement techniques specific to the different approaches of these ancient practices. Ages 16+.
SeniorFit Exercise Classes will again be offered at the Council on Aging on Mondays and Wednesdays. This class is designed to work the major muscle groups, allowing participants to maintain body mass, HDL levels, bone density and in general, to keep you doing the things you love to do! The aid of a chair can be used for this class which is designed for a more gentle approach to an effective workout. Participants must bring their own hand-held 1lb.-3lb. weights and a floor mat.
Women's Pick-Up Softball games at the Town Hall Fields on Wednesday evenings will also be offered. Kayaks are available to rent on Upper Mill Pond for spectacular fall foliage viewing!
Other exclusive collaborations with local businesses include Intro to Horses and Riding Instruction offered on Saturdays at Windsong Farm in Brewster; and
Adult Swim sessions at Willy's Gym in Eastham from 7:30PM - 9:00PM Monday - Friday throughout the month of October.
All programs are offered to everyone and are affordably priced. Non-residents will be charged $10 extra for each class. Registrations are now being accepted for all programs. Registration forms are available online at www.town.brewster.ma.us, but must be brought or mailed to the office at 2298 Main Street, Brewster MA 02631. Some classes are limited to a maximum number of participants, so please sign up today! A waitlist will be generated and additional classes may be offered depending on instructors' availability. Those who are waitlisted will be contacted by phone.
The Brewster Recreation Department's mission is to utilize the Town of Brewster's many beautiful parks, beaches and facilities to provide residents and visitors of Brewster and the Lower Cape with quality recreational activities that challenge the body and spirit across all generations.
