Police arrest West Yarmouth drug dealer


   Wesley M. Jones, arrested by police after the execution of a search warrant in W. Yarmouth.

WEST YARMOUTH - On Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 5:42 p.m., members of the Yarmouth and Barnstable Police Departments, in conjunction with the Cape Cod Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant at 293 Old Town House Road in West Yarmouth.  The search warrant was obtained after a multi-agency investigation involving drug distribution based on numerous complaints from neighbors regarding suspicious activity at the residence.

The search warrant led to the discovery of drug related items (pictured right) as follows:

  • 21.5 grams of Cocaine
  • Perc 15 Oxycodone pills
  • 2 digital scales
  • $1,105 cash

The target of the investigation, Wesley M. Jones, 19, of 293 Old Town House Road in West Yarmouth, was located inside the rental home and placed under arrest.  He was subsequently transported to Yarmouth Police Headquarters where he was charged with:

  • Felony Possession with Intent to Distribute Class A Heroin
  • Felony Cocaine Trafficking
  • Possession of Class B Narcotics

Jones is scheduled for arraignment in the Barnstable District Court on Wednesday, July 15, 2009.
