Dennis Police arrest 57-year-old for enticement of a child


   Richard C. Macaruso of Dennisport, arrested by Dennis Police Friday for enticement of a child and other charges.

DENNISPORT - Dennis Police arrested Richard C. Macaruso, 57, of 78 Upper County Road in Dennisport today (Friday) charging him with 3 counts of Indecent Assault and Battery on a Child under the age of 14 years and 1 count of Enticement of a Child.

Mr. Macaruso was arrested at his business, F.I.T. Games, a "gamer" store catering to teenage children, located at 697 Route 28 in Dennisport.  FIT Games has been in business since 2005 at this location.

Police allege that Mr. Macaruso had indecent contact with a 12-year-old male at his place of business on three separate occasions.

Mr. Macaruso was arraigned in Orleans District Court on Friday afternoon where he pled not guilty to the charges and a $7,500 bail was set for his next court appearance on August 21, 2009.
