Christy clears the air

My life is dedicated to Massachusetts, I am running for Governor

Christy Mihos, Republican Gubernatorial Candidate released the following statement in response to calls from national republican representatives that he should run for the office of U.S. Senate:

"My focus and desire is to become Governor of my home State.  Massachusetts is where I can do the most to confront the abuse of power and the corruption that we face everyday."

"I was approached by members of the Republican party to run for the U.S. Senate seat. As flattering as this is, the people know me as someone who is going to fight for them, for their quality of life, and the best way for me to do that is as Governor of Massachusetts.

The issues before our Nation are compelling. I am against socializing our Health care system and of the constant bailouts and deficit spending that are before the Senate at this critical juncture.

Yet, my focus and desire is to become Governor of my home State. Massachusetts is where I can do the most to confront the abuse of power and the corruption that we face everyday. This is where we must stop them before they tax again! I seek the Governor's office because I understand what needs to be done and will take these challenges on like I did dealing with the Big Dig. You can not be an insider and reform State Government. I am not beholden to anyone or anything except the interests of working people.

I am the only person in this race with a successful record of keeping my promises to the people, to fight to make their lives better, and that is what I intend to do as the next Governor of Massachusetts"

I can't help but thinking that this has more to do with the fact that a Republican hasn't won a Senate seat from Mass. since we re-elected Brooke and were smart enough to be the only state to not vote for Nixon (ie.1972).

As usual, because who you vote for truly matters.

I can't help but think that this has nothing to do with the Senate and everything to do with the fact that from the start, Christy Mihos wants to be governor.

"...my focus and desire is to become Governor of my home State..."

Not much grey area there but then again, what do I know.

Quite frankly, I am impressed that Mr. Mihos is willing to take on a state like Massachusetts. It truly shows his dedication to a fiscally troubled place that so many of us love nonetheless and want to see healthy again.

I'll back Mihos if he can do to the budget what Cahill says can be done.
