CCTimes Owner Punk'd in NYC by 'The Yes Men'...

The "Corporate Pranksters" create a lovely parody in the MAD mold... it would be lovely to see a similar punking to the POST's not-half-as-much-fun sister rag THE CAPE COD TIMES.
Throw off the yoke of Occupying Power and Media Consolidation, people of the peninsula! Support Cape Cod Today Dot Com... you have nothing to lose but this sinister Newspaper-Television Chain!! Free Oceania!

Blog posts and comments are entirely the thoughts and ideas of the people who write them and in no way represent the views of CapeCodToday.com, eCape, Inc., or its employees or owners.
Two or three generations ago, that's the kind of muckraking front page you'd expect to see on working class rags like the Post. But ever since Reagan perfected the Southern Strategy of duping the "Red State" bible thumpers into supporting the GOP's corporate agenda -voting consistently against their own economic interests based on socially divisive "values" issues like abortion, school prayer, creationism, gay marriage et cetera, papers like the Post only attack "liberals" on "values" issues like that and give the corporate weasels who also happen to own the papers a free ride.
I've finally given up the CC-Times, hopefully my $8.00 a week won't take food out of Eric&K.C&Little 1s' mouths, but I really only liked the Comics and Crossword puzzle anyways.

It’s funny how human beings establish a technically advanced civilization in 3,000 years then suddenly they think everything can be explained away, and micro-managed into a neat little package of simple explanation.
The Major, Major Oil and Gas companies are pushing more money into ‘Global Warming’ science than private individuals. They are also investing immense sums of capital into the new ‘Carbon Derivitives’ markets emerging as a result of ‘Global Warming Legislation’ as the topic becomes everyones favorite norm and fearful driving force of change.
The simple truth is easily over looked by simple people. Human beings DO NOT INFLUENCE WEATHER. Carbon Dioxide exhaled by human beings, and all of the various fuels we use from livestock and food, to internal combustion engines and power-plants is ABSORBED FASTER THAN IT REACHES THE ENVIORNMENT. AFTER ALL WE ARE SYMBIOTIC WITH THE ENVIORNMENT. THE EARTH IS A GIANT WASHING MACHINE, CONSTANTLY CLEANING ITSELF."
Naturally it would be much easier to just pretend global warming isn’t happening, that we puny humans have very little effect on the planet. But that’s patently false and absurd. If the planet could clean itself so neatly, we wouldn’t have killer smog, mass deforestation, rapidly shrinking wildlife habitats, desertification, rapid ice cap melt or “Silent Springs”, to name just a short list of the wide-scale devastation of the environment.
If the planet could clean itself so easily it would have gotten rid of us by now. Which may be what will happen if we don’t wise up.
Open YOUR eyes, Blind– ordinary people are making huge sacrifices right now to bring you to see the truth– don’t spit on their service to humanity."
What are your thoughts? Some folks are into newspapers. I am into the environment.

Conveniently located in Patriot Square near the movie theatre, Jason's Tavern offers American and international casual dining for the whole family, as well as cocktails, Keno, and early bird specials. (Dennis)

About This Blog
Ned Sonntag is an artist who lives and works on Cape Cod. His genre is nearly impossible to describe because it's "Sonntag-specific." It's a little like India or anchovies: you either love it or hate it. We love it. He has called himself a "Subculture-Pop Culture Crossover Cartoonist."
Ned will offer samples as often as the spirit moves him on these pages. His online gallery can be seen here, and he maintains additional art here, and you may send him an email.
