MurdochWatch Part 17~ Obama Says It's War...

Walter's been urging me to try embedding a YouTube vid in one of my rants so we'll give it a shot... plus, something clicked when I read this page on Salon this morning... http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2009/10/12/glenn_beck/index2.html  One of my loyal trolls has been for a couple of years been apoplectic about my artistic 'pretensions' and 'fraudery' in um, actually supporting myself as an illustrator for almost 40 years... I've never gotten what his beef is... "Entartete Kunst" and Tom Wolfe's ''From Bauhaus to Our House'' seem to come into it... My stuff's good ol' cheezy pop-culture... Glenn Beck started out as a Morning Zoo Jock... would he find my illustrations dangerously progressive?  A validating notion!  Back to the headline meanwhile... the recently-elected President of the United States has now declared war on the fella who owns our local daily The Cape Cod Times!  So... Support our Troops!  Cancel your subscription to the CCT and switch your advertising budget to CapeCodTodayDotCom!!!

You are SO WRONG-your anger is your blind perception. I'm sorry you're 401k took it hard, I've also lost my investments, still hanging by a thread of my home of 3 generations. What we all must understand--they have crafted this so that we now turn on each other, more distractions to keep us from demanding truth & justice, we are on the brink of a CIVIL WAR, Maverick. What could be better for the lying, cheating, stealing corp's, pharmaceuticals, & politicians who have enabled them, media who get paid by corp's to report distortions, omit real news, now we must rely on alternative sites to get it. I've had reporters at my home, on the phone with more than a few from different networks & papers. They tell me their hands are tied, but I know CNN is incubating stories on the real truth of the mortgage crisis & a lot more. The story of one homeowner on Dateline, who took out loans on $200 wk salary, to purchase 12 condos is just a small segment of the abuse, as they used ACORN, a pattern. Many smart educated citizens have been swindled by corp. lenders Wallstreet sanctioned.

How about Wallstreet PROSITUTES, MAV?

...citizens have been swindled by corp. lenders Wallstreet sanctioned & they had their crooked lawyers make the language impossible to comprehend. CNN "HOUSE OF CARDS", outlines it. Later, when we all realized what they were up to, agencies our lawyers (not for pro-scumbag lenders-BEWARE, had to interview over 20 to find right one) referred us to, would advocate on our behalf to the lender. Many wouldn't even return the phone call, for weeks on end. The loan, had a least three different addresses for the lender, just to confuse things and keep them unaccountable. More stalling, empty promises, even when members of Congress demanded they work with us. My income was more than enough to qualify for a loan. Early on when I contacted a congressman's office in Boston, I was told that if I didn't speak English, had a houseful of small kids, my home was in Dorchester, I would probably qualify. I contacted the agency that has been helping me & they disputed this statement. It seems none of us is safe, but I contend they take remodels in prime location.

Wow..news about news networks, & their own underhanded tactics, that's a switch. What's one less right-winged network, anyway. Maybe they should force them to close up shop & let CNN be the front runner.

"In the most significant exchange on CNN, Dunn stressed that President Obama now personally views Fox as a partisan opponent, rather than a journalistic organization. "When he goes on Fox he understands he is not going on it as a news network at this point," she explained, "he is going on it to debate the opposition."

As the article states, "a long time coming".

"While rank & file Democrats view Fox News as an obviously hostile force"--I'll say, and they trained their staff well to pollute the blogs with more hateful propaganda aimed at the working class. Who pays FOX news, can we demand disclosure? Bet it's the same rat pack that is heading up war efforts, via lucrative TAX paid defense contracts.

I'm all for fox revealing corruption no matter how small they be(ie Acorn).
The major networks Used to expose govt corruption but are all in the tank for OB due to being pc.
They were diligent aginst bush and now eerily silent on OB.

His bailout of the wall street gang is just one of dozens that never seems to get airtime, yet alone the cozy relationship with GE,and big pharma, with the upcoming healthcare debacle.
Halliburton,KBR, Blackwater, are still nationbuilding for Iraq,Pakistan, and Afghanistan as we speak and, despite huge fines and penalties, still being funded by Washington.
crickets from the left propagandists..
perhaps cause one of their own is now in power and now it's ok?

Anyways,I'M glad the White House has declared war on Fox..hope fox reveals more corruption from the enemy in DC.
First they declared war on those private citizens who oppose them, now it's a major media outlet.
And continue questioning all authority, including Fox.
At least Murdoch, like him or not, questions instead of blind allegiance, and acceptance like the rest.

As Senator Sanders(VT), stated, "those who had committed crimes within ACORN got fired, but for congress to just defund an entire organization consisting of over 500 thousand, praised by one of the Rep. senator's", it smells like another witch hunt. These org's have been fighting the predatory lending institutions & winning, so my only conclusion is another way to eliminate opposition & what is standing in the way of complete takeover.

As far as Murdoch is concerned, I've watched him gobble up many independent newspapers across the country. That is the tell tale sign of imperialist/fascist power. When the public does not have the right to freedom of speech, alternative views in the media, freedom of opportunities; home, education, healthcare, a job! It may as well be______________pick an impoverished country, I'm sure there is a long list, with our govt's name written all over it. What? I for one will continue to fight for my right to work a living wage salary, plus benefits (and home) that was just taken from me and thousands of others from the very universities that are also in the game. They are responsible as well as the rest because they produced some of these monsters on Wallstreet, helping to cultivate their businesses, whose only concern is how much they can take away from the working men, women & families, their competition, their college roommates, probably even their own families. Heartless scumbags, whose only loyalty is to their almighty portfolios. Hey, maybe I should call ACORN and see if they're hiring? I'd rather work my ass off for an organization that's goal is to help struggling families. The alternatives (which pay more) are not worth it. By the time you get sucked in, it's too hard to come clean and you leave there feeling contaminated by the same filth of Wallstreet. No one likes to quit a job, especially in hard times, but it's worse to work for something you know is built on a pack of lies. The Media is nowhere to be found on many stories.

And CNN is not liberal.
MSNBC is like a left-wing Fox.
Democracy Now is the only REAL news available on tv.
And the radio? Forget it...unless you can afford to buy satellite, you are stuck with right-wing garbage day in and day out. At least around here.
And sorry, but there's a big difference between the parties and the presidents of them.
When Bush 1 and 2 were in office,it felt like a steel claw around the neck. Reagan? YUK!
With Clinton and now Obama, it's like the claw is off.
And also, if you were starving, cold and knocked on a Democrat's door, he/she would open the door and let you in. A Republican would slam it in your face and threaten to call the police. That's the feeling I get from them.
So, maybe at the highest level, they all play on the same team, but only at the very top.
From this lowly vantage, there is no question of the difference.
Simply in who they blame for the housing fiasco!
Dems blame the banks doing the lending, Pubs blame the people buying homes.
Stark difference.

This time surrounded by friend. Well, keep me in mind for weekends if there is a need and if I land a job in the meantime, hey, I may even do it for free, maybe just a dinner of fresh fish! I really appreciate the offer.

bitter,

Now may not be the time to bring it up. I only did so to expose karen for her obvious evil deeds. Someone told me I was referred to as, "that awful woman from the internet", during the trial. Some people must fulfill their need of displaced anger, isn't that obvious? Territorial issues, "the island belongs to me", mentality, seen too many times before. If there is a way for the truth to come out someday, I'm sure it will. Just keep the prayers going. That's all anyone can do for now. If I ever find out someone has been trying to rearrange my life, believe me there will be hell to pay. I've never had so much bad luck in my life. Back to topic- what did Beck say, Mav?

Talk about an oversimplification!

Sure, government always grows. Sure, once it is expanded it's impossible to cut it. Sure, all of that stinks. But should that be justification for NEVER using government to solve a problem? With that logic we wouldn't have:

National defense, schools, workplace safety rules, enforcement against polluters, and hundreds of other things that make up a modern society.

Of course, today this "no government over my dead body" approach is being used to torpedo meaningful health care reform. Better to keep the government out and leave health insurance to those altruistic private insurance companies. Result: Health care inferior to almost all western nations at twice the cost.

But at least government isn't much involved. Whew!

No need to do anything. Faux and Friends will "handle" the news. Like they did before.....
doodeedoodoo doodeedoodoo--way back machine--
"In the run up to war in Iraq, it was top officials from the Bush administration who were making the claim that Saddam was in cahoots with bin Laden and that he was secretly involved to 9/11.
The fact that the administration's disinformation campaign was entirely successful is evidenced by an October 2004, Harris Poll, taken three weeks before the last presidential election, which reported that 84% of those planning to vote for Bush, still believed that Saddam had ''strong links" to Al Qaeda, and 52% of Bush backers, believed that Saddam had ''helped plan and support the hijackers" who had attacked the country on 9/11."

See how it works?
That's why they can say Obama is a muslim terrorist non-citizen, and people believe it!
So, who will be accountable for those 3,000 deaths?

And at least ACORN fires their wrong-doers....you can't say as much for the neo-con murderers who still walk the streets.

PS: Some of us have been "in a very difficult economic state" since Junior raised his right hand and took the oath of office.
And you called us "whiners".
Now that you are feeling Bush's pain, you are entitled to express the anger and the pain, huh?

Yeah right.

ACORN Embezzlement Totaled $5 Million, Internal Audit Asserts

Where there's smoke, there's fire. And in the case of the radical nonprofit network, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, the fire is more than five times as bad as originally reported. According to results from an internal audit released yesterday, top ACORN members embezzled around $5 million during its years under the helm of founder Wade Rathke. That's well above the roughly $950,000 that Rathke's brother, former ACORN chief financial officer Dale, reportedly stole during 1999-2000 - and that Wade Rathke ordered covered up lest the incident create bad publicity.

Fittingly, current ACORN chief organizer Bertha Lewis claims the latest allegations to be "completely false."

Ever notice how the argument goes back to the W" factor, as if to disregard what their annointed savior is currently scheming?

Fine,go after W but let's keep the eye on the present so we don't further the corruption as we speak.
These neo-comms make W and Cheney look like boyscouts in their daily onslaught.

News was out today that the OB ONES are going after their own liberal bloggers for questioning their policies.
Richard Nixon lives on..

At least with Nixon and his enemies list, it wasn't a daily onslaught against the media.
Hell, one of Nixons enemies list(a senior avowed democrat strategist) members was on tv a few days ago and stated that he has the distInction of being on 2 White House enemies list..and this gang makes Nixon pale by comparison..
Fox News, Liberal bloggers, who's next..definitely not the bitter.
She's dime us all out for her beloved dictator.

Meanwhile, the war wages on...

Monday Oct.12

Glenn Beck – 3,178,000 viewers 5PM

Countdown w/ K. Olbermann – 881,000 viewers 8PM
Rachel Maddow Show —616,000 viewers 9 PM

When reached for comment, Murdoch offered, “That would be more than twice the viewers for Glenn Beck in the afternoon than the biggest two-hours of primetime on MSNBC, now wouldn’t it.
Let’s see # 1 in cable news while the “opponent” has an approval rating index of negative 8.
Oh and did I mention I'm considering buying NBC?

THE PRESIDENT: Good afternoon. Today we reached a critical milestone in our effort to reform our health care system. After many months of thoughtful deliberation, the fifth and final committee responsible for health care reform has passed a proposal that has both Democratic and Republican support..."

If loosely interpreted, one might assume it was bi-partisan except that the vote was 14-9, thirteen Democrats and RINO Olympia Snow voted yes, while nine Republicans voted no.

Nope no lie here, he's just really good with the teleprompter.

And now from the front lines, another defeat for American Pravda!

The Obama administration on Thursday failed in its attempt to exclude Fox News from participating in an interview of an administration official, as Republicans on Capitol Hill stepped up their criticism of the hardball tactics employed by the White House.

The Treasury Department on Thursday tried to make "pay czar" Kenneth Feinberg available for interviews to every member of the network pool except Fox News. The pool is the five-network rotation that for decades has shared the costs and duties of daily coverage of the presidency and other Washington institutions.

But the Washington bureau chiefs of the five TV networks consulted and decided that none of their reporters would interview Feinberg unless Fox News was included. The pool informed Treasury that Fox News, as a member of the network pool, could not be excluded from such interviews under the rules of the pool.

So how's that war thing working for you?

ned_196Ned Sonntag is an artist who lives and works on Cape Cod. His genre is nearly impossible to describe because it's "Sonntag-specific." It's a little like India or anchovies: you either love it or hate it. We love it. He has called himself a "Subculture-Pop Culture Crossover Cartoonist."
Ned will offer samples as often as the spirit moves him on these pages. His online gallery can be seen here, and he maintains additional art here, and you may send him an email.
