Many smart educated citizens have been swindled by corp. lenders Wallstreet sanctioned.

Later, when we all realized what they were up to, agencies our lawyers (not for pro-scumbag lenders-BEWARE, had to interview over 20 to find right one) referred us to, would advocate on our behalf to the lender. Many wouldn't even return the phone call, for weeks on end. The loan, had a least three different addresses for the lender, just to confuse things and keep them unaccountable. More stalling, empty promises, even when members of Congress demanded they work with us. My income was more than enough to qualify for a loan. Early on when I contacted a congressman's office in Boston, I was told that if I didn't speak English, had a houseful of small kids, my home was in Dorchester, I would probably qualify. I contacted the agency that has been helping me & they disputed this statement. It seems none of us is safe, but I contend they take remodels in prime location.

I heard this from my friend at my former job who did research for a living & could tell you just about anything on any millionaire/billionaire you wanted to know about--nothing classified, all common knowledge. I recall that he mentioned Murdoch taking over the newspaper industry. I could be wrong, I'll admit that because I'm me & not YOU. National defense, schools, workplace safety rules, enforcement against polluters, and hundreds of other things that make up a modern society.

Of course, today this "no government over my dead body" approach is being used to torpedo meaningful health care reform. Better to keep the government out and leave health insurance to those altruistic private insurance companies. Result: Health care inferior to almost all western nations at twice the cost.

But at least government isn't much involved. Whew!

With majorities in both the House and the Senate, insurance reform is foundering, closing Gitmo looks to be yet another empty campaign promise and the White House focuses their attention on declaring war on a news network.

Someone needs to take the President aside and advise him how to pick his battles.

Just this yr: I've had two totaled cars (never one accident)other's driving. Stellar reviews at work, 4yrs/raise w promotion, laidoff w/over 30 of my co-workers, one division, 15% campus. I acted early, I became a finalist for a good job, checked ref & were excited about hiring me. I contacted them a week later. It was bizarre, the woman sounded nervous when she was talking to me. In the meantime, my mother was recovering from a shattered hip. For the past 2 mos, I have been at the hospital everyday, don't know how she fell, happened late 10pm. She told me later, floor was wet, never got a call how seriousness an injury, they attempted to operate without my consent(guardian) or medical work up. She could have died: diabetic, hx dvt's, hypertension. Another complication arose, another surgery. Now she's in rehab, but doesn't look good. Still fighting lender, 4yrs now. Other strange things, no explanation. Let's just say, I'm always watching over my shoulder these days. Better to be safe. I'm putting this out there so it's on record. I've had to take steps to guard myself.

One owns various properties in Eastham & Orleans. The other was fleeing from his wife, planning to hide money from her during the divorce. Later he shared she use to beat him up. I can understand why. You want to talk about a SLOB, karen? Maybe he's your relative. He trashed the house inside & out. The police did nothing, told me to hire a lawyer. HA! Maybe they planned to file phony charges against me. From what I heard, both are considered SCUMBAGS by the town & region. The fireman lost his job due to other "bad deeds".

ACORN Embezzlement Totaled $5 Million, Internal Audit Asserts

The Obama administration on Thursday failed in its attempt to exclude Fox News from participating in an interview of an administration official, as Republicans on Capitol Hill stepped up their criticism of the hardball tactics employed by the White House.

The Treasury Department on Thursday tried to make "pay czar" Kenneth Feinberg available for interviews to every member of the network pool except Fox News. The pool is the five-network rotation that for decades has shared the costs and duties of daily coverage of the presidency and other Washington institutions.

But the Washington bureau chiefs of the five TV networks consulted and decided that none of their reporters would interview Feinberg unless Fox News was included. The pool informed Treasury that Fox News, as a member of the network pool, could not be excluded from such interviews under the rules of the pool.
