Violent acts top arrests for the week

YARMOUTH - During the past week, from Thursday, October 15 through Thursday, October 22, the men and women of the Yarmouth Police Department responded to  440 calls resulting in the arrest of 22 individuals. 

The following are some of the more significant events during that period.

NO IMAGE On Thursday, October 15 at 10:10 a.m., Steven T. Thomas, 17, of Swan Lake Road in West Yarmouth, was issued a criminal complaint by Detective Patrick McCaffrey at D-Y High School on Station Avenue for Possession of a Knife on School Grounds.

On Sunday, October 18 at 8:20 p.m., Jennifer Marie Dillree, 27, of Courtland Way in West Yarmouth, was arrested by Patrol Officer Kevin Antonovitch during a domestic violence call at that address for Domestic Assault and Battery.

On Monday, October 19 at 9:49 a.m., Jorge B. Llerena, 43, of Gleason Avenue in West Yarmouth, was arrested by Patrol Officer Richard White during a domestic violence call at that address for Felony Assault and Battery (by means of a metal table).
NO IMAGE On Monday, October 19 at 10:53 p.m., Jeremy Clark Whelden, 25, of Aft Road in South Yarmouth, was issued a criminal complaint by Patrol Officer Raymond Scichilone on Old Town House Road for Unarmed Robbery.

On Tuesday, October 20 at 1:30 p.m., Robert Adam Plaice, 21, of Tubman Road in Brewster, was arrested by Patrol Investigator Christopher Kent during a warrant service on Route 28 for a Felony Warrant Arrest for 3 counts of Larceny of Firearms.
NO IMAGE On Wednesday, October 21 at 9:46 p.m., Christopher D. Norton, 37, of Kennedy Drive in Carver, was issued a criminal complaint by Patrol Officer Neal Donohue on North Main Street for Violation of a Protective Order.

On Wednesday, October 21 at 7:45 p.m., Ryan Sargent, 18, of Rosemary Lane in West Yarmouth, was arrested by Patrol Officer Melissa Alden during a domestic violence call at that address for Domestic Assault and Battery.

Just think all these people in these police photos were all born innocent. It's very sad that some people's lives turn out so troubling.

I generally side with the police in these matters, but I can't look at Jorge Llerena and see a guily man. I'm thinking that he most likely had a Damn Good Reason to assault that guy with the metal table.
