Harwich weekly arrests including assault with a dangerous weapon, shoplifting and possession

Harwich Police Department arrests for week ending 10/25/09

Charges include assault with a dangerous weapon, OUI, shoplifting and possession

HARWICH - During the period of Sunday, October 18 through Sunday, October 25, the officers of the Harwich Police Department responded to 298 calls for service. The arrests below are a few of those resulting from the week's activity.

Arrested PersonCharges, Arresting Officer

Gregory Mattos of Long Pond Drive in Harwich was arrested by Patrol Officer Richard Buttrick for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Intimidation of a Witness during a domestic violence call at his residence.

Jared Hopkins of Marie Lane in Harwich was arrested by Patrol Officer Keith Kannally for OUI and Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle after a motor vehicle accident.

Dorothy Souza of Sisson Road in Harwich was arrested by Patrol Officer Richard Buttrick for shoplifting at a local supermarket.

Mark Sztuka of Knox Road in Dennisport was arrested for Illegal Possession of a Class E and a Class D drug. Szutka was arrested with Kaitlyn Butilier and Christopher Chockey by Patrol Officer Paul Ulrich in the Belles Neck Conservation Area. Patrol Officer Ulrich had initiated an investigation into a suspicious vehicle in the area which led to the arrest of the three. Sztuka admitted sufficient facts to possession, cont. without a finding for one year, with fees.

Kaitlyn Butilier of Marion Lane in Brewster was arrested for Illegal Possession of a Class E drug. Butilier was arrested with Christopher Chockey and Mark Sztuka by Patrol Officer Paul Ulrich in the Belles Neck Conservation Area. Patrol Officer Ulrich had initiated an investigation into a suspicious vehicle in the area which led to the arrest of the three.

Christopher Chockey of Satucket Road in Brewster was arrested on two Warrants. Chockey was arrested with Kaitlyn Butilier and Mark Sztuka by Patrol Officer Paul Ulrich in the Belles Neck Conservation Area. Patrol Officer Ulrich had initiated an investigation into a suspicious vehicle in the area which led to the arrest of the three.
