Truro, Wellfleet and Ptown Police work together to nab two after a rash of home break-in

UPDATE: Charges, more details announced...

TRURO - A Boston woman and her boyfriend were arrested Tuesday after a series of breaks were reported around Truro. Allen Borden, 27, of Boston, and Natasha Abbrahim, 25, also of Boston, were taken into custody by police after a concerted search by the Provincetown, Truro and Wellfleet Police Departments.

It started when Lt. John Lundborn responded to an alarm at a home on Sawyer Grove Road in North Truro around 12 p.m. on Tuesday. Upon checking the building he observed a basement door kicked in. While calling for a Barnstable County Sheriff's dog and back-up, he heard a loud crash from a home to the rear of that home. An immediate check of that home revealed that the door in that home was also kicked in.

Truro Police Sgt. Perry and Lt. Lundborn were checking the inside of the homes when a third alarm came in. Provincetown Police Officers monitoring Truro calls checked that residence upon request and found a subsequent break.

Evidence and descriptions were given to police by neighbors about a suspicious black Ford traveling in the area. After obtaining a description, Wellfleet Police observed a vehicle matching the description and stopped the vehicle on Route 6 around 1:30 p.m. The vehicle contained stolen property from the previous breaks as confirmed by police, homeowners and caretakers.

Both Borden and Abbrahim were arrested by Wellfleet officers and charged with the following:

  • Four (4) counts of Breaking and Entering
  • Four (4) counts of Larceny Over $250
  • Four (4) counts of Injury to Property

Cash bail in the amount of $2,000 was set for each.

Police are still sorting out the details of this recent rash of break-ins.  Reports are still coming in regarding this matter.

Remember, kids... if you kick in Door A... when you got to kick in Door B, try to be out of auditory range from Door A. If there is going to be a Door C, make sure it is out of range of both A+B.
