Man treated for smoke inhalation after Bourne house fire

BOURNE - An unidentified male was treated for reported smoke inhalation at the scene of a house fire on Bennetts Neck Drive in the Monument Beach section of Bourne Friday afternoon around (December 11, 2009) around 5 p.m. The extent of the victim’s injuries is unknown at this time, however, he was conscious in the back of the ambulance.

A MedFlight helicopter was requested for the victim but was unavailable due to high winds.

The fire reportedly started in the basement of the house and caused minimal visible outside damage to the structure.
