A word of thanks
Let me first say thank you.
Thank you to the nearly 9,000 people who came out and voted in the Republican primary. I am humbled to have received the support of 60% of those people - and I am appreciative of the support I hope to receive from the 40% who voted for my opponent, Priscilla Young. Priscilla worked hard in her campaign. She was a tough opponent. I thank Priscilla for joining me Wednesday morning to unite us in an effort to keep the Barnstable Probate and Family Court Office in the hands of a professional. This gesture demonstrates tremendous courage on her part.
Thank you to the many people who have helped me over the past several months. Again, it is an unbelievably humbling experience to see my friends and family rally around me and work so hard to win this primary. We know it will take even more to win in November and I am so grateful to have such wonderful supporters who are already preparing for the next phase of this campaign.
Thank you to the individuals who had the courage of their convictions to stand with me in the primary - Michael O'Keefe, Mary LeClair, Scott Nickerson, Jack Meade, Tom George and Shirley Gomes. Each of these people put their reputations on the line to support me and I am eternally grateful for their confidence.
Now I say welcome to the sprint! My friends, we have a 48 day sprint to the November election. I have already begun the next phase of my campaign. This next phase is against a well-funded candidate. With hard work, continued fund raising and our winning message, I am confident that we can win.
It was so rewarding to hear repeatedly from people across Cape Cod who believe in my message. They are supporting me because they understand that I am a professional, not a politician. They are telling their friends about me because I have the right blend of experience - and that is most important to them. I will continue to talk to people across this county and tell them that if they want a Register who will work smarter and ensure a more user-friendly court, but is also a fiscal conservative - they only have one choice this November.
Thanks again and by the way, if you want to help now that the primary is over, please volunteer through my website. www.electanastasia.com.
I'll check in again soon.

Former Falmouth Selectman Troy Clarkson endorses Anastasia Welsh Perrino
I have been busily campaigning for this last push to the primary on Tuesday the 16th. I was thrilled to pick up the endorsement of Troy Clarkson. Troy is a former selectman in Falmouth. He has a reputation for having a straight-forward, no-nonsense approach. His endorsement of me appeared in his column in the Falmouth Bulletin:
"Her background as a B.C. Eagle and friendship with FOX25’s Doug Meehan
are icing on the cake. Anastasia Welsh Perrino will be ready to lead
the Probate and Family Court on her first day."
- Troy Clarkson
The presence of eager hand-shakers at the post offices can only mean one thing: election season, in this case the primary elections, is upon us.
On Tuesday, Sept. 16, local voters will cast their choices for several locally contested races. Whether you are a dedicated Red-stater living here in the bluest of towns in the bluest of Blue states, or feeling blue and proud of it, there is a race for you in the upcoming primary. The races are heating up and begging for our attention. Here, then, are some thoughts on a couple of them... read the rest of Troy's column here.
In part, he cited my "mix of public and private sector experience" and my background as an attorney saying "the person presiding over the agency that deals with complex family issues should have the legal experience to do the job".
Picking up the support of respected people like Troy is a real boost. Please, take a moment to go to the link.
Updates from the campaign trail
Anastasia Welsh Perrino's campaign for register of probate gains momentum
Fundraisers build base for funding and volunteering
Numerous fundraisers in the Upper, Lower, and Mid Cape have helped us build our base for both funding and volunteering. Anastasia has received over 400 donations and has out raised her opponent by a 10 - 1 margin. Anastasia has met many interesting and supportive people who have kindly offered their homes for coffees and parties in order to help voters in Barnstable County become familiar with Anastasia as she continues her campaign for Register of Probate.
Announcing endorsements & Anastasia's winning team!
Anastasia is proud to be endorsed by District Attorney Michael O'Keefe, Clerk of Courts Scott Nickerson, Register of Deeds Jack Meade and County Commissioner Mary LeClair. Former State Representatives Tom George and Shirley Gomes have also endorsed Anastasia. They know that Anastasia has the qualifications and experience to win.
Anastasia has put together a winning campaign team including an experienced campaign manager and an experienced campaign coordinator. Anastasia's organization includes Shirley Gomes as Lower Cape Chair; Phil Baroni as Mid Cape Chair and Mary LeClair as Upper Cape Chair. Along with the help of individual Town Chairs Anastasia is building a winning organization.
