Barros campaign signs stolen; Dennis, Truro crashes

Barros campaign signs stolen just before primary vote
barros150The Cape Cod Times mid-day reported stated that police are investigating the theft of $750 worth of campaign signs for a candidate for state Senate. The campaign signs were stolen from outside Ric Barros' Centerville home overnight. Barros, on right, Republican candidate for the Cape and Islands state Senate, told police the signs were snatched from outside his apartment on Route 132 near Old Strawberry Hill Road, according to Barnstable Police Sgt. Sean Sweeney.

Three injured, driver cited in Dennis crash
DENNIS - Three people were injured in an early morning crash in Dennis. The crash happened before 5 AM Tuesday at 495 Center Street when a car struck a tree. Three ambulances were called to the scene. None of the injuries appear life-threatening. The driver 21-year old Kammy McIntyre was cited by Dennis Police for operating to endanger, operating with a suspended license, speeding and failing to wear a seatbelt. No serious injuries in Truro Route 6 crash
TRURO
- No serious injuries were reported in a crash on Route 6 in Truro Monday. A vehicle waiting to turn left into Truro Central Village was rear ended by another vehicle. Police cited that driver for following too close. There have been a number of crashes at the location where several popular businesses are located. Further details were not immediately available. Suspect arrested in stabbing
DENNIS
- Dennis Police were looking for a suspect in a stabbing Sunday night. Police found a 22-year old man from Dennisport with a stab wound to the back by the Christy's Market on Route 28 about 9:30 PM. He was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital for surgery. Based on subsequent investigation police obtained an arrest warrant for 21-year old Terry Burdick of Dennisport for assault with intent to murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. On Tuesday September 26 Barnstable Police apprehended Burdick in their town. The motive in the attack is unclear at this time. Posted on 9/18 at 5:00 PM; updated on 9/28 ay 6:30 AM.
