Warrant service leads to rifle, heroin

Cash, heroin, a rifle and ammo seized by Yarmouth Police
YARMOUTH - Police got more than they bargained for when they went to arrest a wanted person in Yarmouth. About 10:45 AM Saturday Patrol Investigators Scott Lundegren and Christopher Van Ness went to 15 Midstream Drive in South Yarmouth seeking a man wanted on 3 outstanding felony default arrest warrants.

The wanted man 26-year old David S. Gonsalves of South Yarmouth was located inside of the home and placed under arrest. While in the process of securing Gonsalves-Patrol Investigator Van Ness reportedly located a fully loaded and unsecured shotgun leaning against a bedroom wall.  In addition-police recovered a bag of heroin that was found in the suspect's pocket and other illegal drug related paraphernalia was located in the bathroom.

Gonsalves was transported to Yarmouth Police Headquarters charged with the warrants for Felony Default Warrant for Counterfeiting from the Barnstable District Court, Felony Default Warrant for Counterfeiting from the Barnstable District Court, Felony Default Warrant for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon from the Barnstable District Court. In addition he was charged by Yarmouth for Possession of Class A Heroin (11.5 grams), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Improper Storage of a Firearm. He was being held pending his arraignment in the Barnstable District Court on Monday. Photos furnished by Yarmouth Police.

thats the gear for when your on the outer and the grease from habchi catches a blaze. now youve been in the sun for so long and the back of your early 90s GMC with a lift, dual whips, and a large obnoxios rotating yellow light on the roof is full of empty corona bottles and just maybe you got a little captain in you so all your friends laugh and you seriously run get your helmet from the tool box in your truck and maybe a small military shovel and start an aggressive attack and then when you have declared the fire out your so hyper and like i said been in the sun a little you decide to overhaul the grill for the next 20 minutes....ask yourself one question what would roy jones say about that picture?? if you know him and he has seen the picture im sure he has already called the provincetown cheif and made some "fun" humor out of it...

What's the other stuff in the pic besides the cash, heroin, gun, and baggies?

It looks like Metamucil and a face powder compact.

Of course, constipation is well known side effect of opiates but is it illegal to own a laxative?

It's always funny to me when the cops include cash in the evidence photos, as if cash were illegal.

It is when you make it by selling drugs. I would guess that money now belongs to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The powder is probably used in drug sales/packaging

Like justme said, the $ is most likely entered as evidence in relation to drug dealing. Also, who knows what is in the container pictired. It could be where some of the drugs were stored.
