Hmmmm...Such a treacherous section of highway (NOT!)...one lane, straight, 55mph speed limit...'sounds like a Darwin Award is in the offing...Cell phone, donutz, whatever...anything except actually paying attention and driving...Go figure!?

I watch a lot of professional wrestling, and the Sandwich Taverna guy broke one of the simple rules... You put a man THROUGH the table... you hit him over the head with a folding CHAIR.

Look up "Dudley Boyz" for further elaboration.

Granted, he was most likely into the firewater and everything... but things are done that way for a reason, ad people get hurt badly when you think outside the box.

First of all, I live in Sandwich and it's a lot grittier of a town than you think. The table was from the Martha Stewart collection and if you know your Martha, it's a wee bit heavier than a conventional folding table..ouch! It also comes with 4 gorgeous matching
chairs, table top setting for 4.... optional.

The Times is reporting this as a "rollover". I drove by this last night (forgot my camera, of course).
Look at the photo above -- the car obviously went off the road, but did not roll over. Leaning, yes. Rolled over... not quite.
There is a slight curve on the road here. That's it. Road bears to left -- car continued straight.

Actually Andy, if you look at it, there is damage to the interior roof of the vehicle. The car could definitely have rolled over and landed on its wheels.

I agree, it rolled over and landed upright, happens all the time.

Andy, Is it safe to assume here that YOU witnessed the crash? Or are you a accident reconstruction expert?

I think it's safe to assume Andy is not a crash recon guy - he can't even read the story for gods sake - it clearly says: "A Mitsubishi Montero rolled over and wound right side up in the woods. "

I'll admit I could be wrong. But from the angle I saw it -- with the naked eye from less than 15 feet away, it looked like nothing more than that car went straight into the woods.

As for accident reconstruction, I'm am insurance inspector and investigator.

But, sure, I could be wrong.
