Would you buy a used car from this man?

There's a $700 billion hole in our economy caused by the Iraq War.

The President chose to fund the war by borrowing, putting it on a credit card, to use a popular expression.  He did this because he knew he couldn't convice the American people to go into an unnecessary war and, at the same time, ask us to pay for it.

The Chinese were more than willing to lend him the money, like a bookie supporting the habit of a degenerate gambler.

To make matters worse, the President insisted on and got a $700 billion tax break for the richest Americans at the same time.  They in turn, promptly gambled it away on Wall Street, on delusional debt instruments.

The time has come to pay for the war, the President's gambling debt.  The paper (IOUs) we sold the Chinese is guaranteed by the US taxpayers.  But  the paper (IOUs) the Friends of Bush bought, mortgage debt derivations, is practically worthless. Now we have to bail them out too?

So we have to pay for the bad debts with taxpayer money, which is the same as paying for the war with taxes, which is what we should have done in the first place.

The President lied to us about the reasons for going to war. Now he's lying to us once again about why we have to bail out his rich friends.  The latter should rightfully be called a swindle. The former caused the death of 5000 Americans and mutilation of another 30,000. It can only be defined as an impeachable offense.

When I was growing up, they used to say "Would you buy a used car from this man?" refering to Richard Nixon.  Is it possible that this President is worse than Nixon?

Well, would you buy a used car from this man?

Stop slandering used car salesmen. The recession is bad enough for business without comparing them to (war) criminals.

I'd rather take my chances with a used car dealer. At least he has to abide by the lemon law. This crook was trying to win daddy in charge of the CIA's battles. Now it's on us. Even Nixon was better. When does the impeachment process begin? And tribunal for war crimes against Iraqi people. Saddam threatened daddy's life, now we all have to pay.

I don't buy used cars.

This piece of real estate has been sold off for over the last 50+ years..
quietly under the radar by multinational corps in collusion with all our friends in D.C.

Since wwII we paid off reparations to I.T.T. in Germany for damage done by allied bombing to their war factories.

That was the tip of the iceburg that has culminated to our present ownership and debacle...
Banks and the like industries have propulgated every military action for a millenium..
and we have paid the price..
Just a modern day feudalistic world of serfs and warlords..

While the players(dems and repubs)continue to manipulate us in a stone throwing frenzy (as they quietly laugh at our folly in their support)

When he first ran for the 2000 election, W's main drawback was that he was considered to be stupid. His stupidity was (and is)manifested by his consistent inability to speak correctly.

Conservatives I knew said so what, he's not an A-plus student, most presidential decision-making is done by smart advisors anyway.

Eight years later, the situation we are in as a country is a testament to the fact that COGNITIVE ABILITY, that's IQ, that's intelligence, is major pre-requisite for the very difficult job of being president of the USA.

Both W and his drag sister, Sarah Palin, talk about "not blinking" in the face of big decisions. They are both unencumbered by the thought process, because they are incapable of it.

Sarah Palin's stupidity wouldn't matter if John MCain was 15-20 years younger.
Say what you will about Barack Obama's radical left political past, which I have a big problem with, he's a high-IQ person. His father was a Rhodes Scholar plucked from Kenya because of his intellectual abilities.

W was too stupid to be president.

capemom,

Not defending Bush here....but, we in this country had better wake-up. We have a congress that's been asleep at the wheel as well. Our gov't has become to big and our politicians embedded with lobbyists, corruption and money and it's killing this country.

No one has to look further than this bailout. Telling us our country's future depends on it...buy yet, loading it with millions in perks and pork. Yet, we bend over (no offense Barney) hold our ankles and take it.

You folks' distaste for Obama will buy us a Bushlike creature more senile and with a worse temper. At least Dubya takes his meds. This is the point in the movie screenplay called 'the negation of the negation', when ya think things can't get worse then they do...

I really have to laugh at the left on how they percieve this stuff. Like everything else, just blame Bush. Fact is, the Dems have been in control of the Banking/Finance Committees of the Judiciary for years as well as having controlling interests in Fannie and Freddie (just check if you don't think so). They were told by Repubs back in 2004-2005 that things were going to come apart if they didn't tighten the reigns on these outfits and stop playing fast and loose with lending laws/practices(it's on tape by the way so it's indisputable). Barney and the boys just told them everything is fine and there's nothing to worry about. Now he denies he had anything to do with it. You can bet he made his money out of this deal(his "life partner" as well) and all on the backs of wage-earners.
You clowns crack me up!
