Yarmouth '67-Bobby V, Tony C and 'draftees' in the field [Inside Ball]

"Ladies and Gentlemen for the   Boston Red Sox #25"!  Opening Day I noticed Bobby Valentine was wearing number 25.   Like #33 (Jimmy Foxx) it is a number that should be retired but for different reason.  As I left Yarmouth Town Hall to cross the street to the field of the old John Simpkins, School.   I stopped at the Memorial in front of Town Hall that honors Yarmouth's Fallen Heroes.    Baseball is  America , almost as much as our GI's.  I noticed that the first name is of  John Simpkins which is also the name of the field where Bobby Valentine played.  The John Simpkins School and Field may soon house Seniors when it use to house Seniors of the High School.  It may soon house a former student or Vietnam Veteran who played on that field as a kid.  Thankfully the tablet in front of  Town Hall does not name a Vietnam Veteran.  (It could as just yesterday, a WWII Serviceman just returned home decades later but plenty served here and around the state).   Thirty Thousand Veterans live in Southeastern Massachusetts and one thousand a week pass, and  300 here.   I am not sure how many love sports , baseball and the Red Sox but it is ALOT!  In 1967 the field was home to a young Two Sport Athlete , a kid name Valentine from New England.   (Do we count Conneticut as New England, with all those New York fans?)   Fenway Park was home to another young local player name Tony Conigliaro who wore number 25.

As I crossed the street from the Memorial there was a sign that welcomed Bobby Valentine facing the field and kids from the MacArthur School sitting down waiting.  The direct route across 28 for those not driving over, would be by that fence.  There was a white rock painted to presumably cover a hole.  I stationed myself so I could point out as people came across to many of the Seniors in attendence.    One of the people who came across was  my older brothers old friend who was an official who was a referee and umpire with my older Brother, Joe Valee.  Joe sporting his Cape League and Red Sox Red hat and shirt stopped and talked.  Earlier Bobby Valentine spoke in the Selectman's Town Meeting room.    Bob Dubois of the Yarmouth Chamber was standing next to me as I stood as the room was filled with many of those Seniors.  ( A Couple kids I recognized, Mike Karras and John Dunakin who have been on hitting streaks for D-Y Varsity and JV respectively and played with my son last year).  I noticed Peter Gammons of  ESPN and Boston Globe, sports fame,  and not only a long time Cape League fan/supporter but a Major League  Baseball Hall of  Famer .  Peter Gammons, to me is the Best Sports Writer ever in any sport.   Will McDonough was very knowledgable and could break news stories, but Peter was the internet before there was the internet.   Peter was following players on the Cape for years especially in Orleans.   Peter's Sunday Column would be about Cape Players,  Farm Team Players,  Spring Training up and comers.  Those articles gave everyone the low down.  He talked to more up and comers before they were anyone than anyone.

So Bob Dubois was standing next to me, (which is remarkable in itself as people near me in Town Hall seems to be a feat of  courage these days)  and I said "You should ask Peter Gammons to sit up with the Board. "  He asked , Jim Martin of  the Y-D Red Sox and Peter went up.   I joked with Bob are they gonna say "The Pledge of  Allegiance", not knowing that he had a Mic. in his hand, and it was on!    Chairman Eric Tolley heard me and smiled.   I guess I can understand these guys being "gun" shy around me, but they don't sometimes get that there is a reason this is:  "Inside Ball-Sports and Politics-The Best games in Town".  I am passionate about both, and I care about doing the right thing in regards to both, in my opinion!   Anyway,  after the Proclaimation of Bobby Valentine Day and comments about his memories,  I was at the fence with the sign.  Bob Dubois, said to me do you have anything sharp.  (These are the most words we have spoken since Waste-water so I was wondering where he was going with this. )  I was gonna say my wit, but I am sure he would not buy that at all.   So I reached in my pocket and found two pens.  (The power of the pen was my next thought would be appropriate, right?)  However, as if on cue,  Selectman Sears and Matta Pitta the Master of Ceremonies of WXTK was right there.   Now the ink hasn't dried on my Matt bashing so he may need the same amount of months before cordial greetings will come my way and Curt seems to need alot more time, but I digress.   I kinda get of a kick out of it, because it is clear they are all reading my stuff,  and I have other fans (tongue firmly implanted in cheek) as CC Commission Chair was crying a river of Waste-water in the same room at the Selectman's meeting less than 48 hours earlier about his kids reading stuff online.  (Speaking of  implanted cheekbones- Bobby V. played for the Yarmouth Indians as they were called, but no mention if  Prof. Warren had 'reservations" about that name or not)  Hey,   this stuff just happens I could never plan it as funny,  as this.  So , I say to Bob Dubois,  I already used these pens on Matt and Curt as the pass right in front of me.  Then I realize he need help with sign to bring over so the kids could hold as Bobby V approched.   So Joe Valee, Bob Dubois and I used keys to cut through tie wraps to do quickly.   I then realized I am in Yarmouth and I am messing with a sign,  and two Selectman Candidates and the police are feet away.   Like I said,  you can't make this up so funny.  I tried the joke on Curt and later  Selectman Tracy Post, who actually reacted more seriously than Suzanne later did as we left the field.   Now I have not have two conversations lifetime with Suzanne at all, and she would have great reason not to want to joke with me at all.   The others I have had drinks with and I dare say pretty good friends with at least one, previous to my 'Inside Ball'  debut.  They all should know me enough this is how I operate, and that politics and sports aint bean bags.   I forget and move on, win, lose or draw on any issue, right or wrong.  If I am mad then it was real personal.  Now I guess that is how they took my comments, but the funny part is Suzanne got it worse than any of them in my opinion.  Maybe that is why they were mad was because we were friends and McAulliffe and I were not friends at all.   I never take myself so seriously and I figure no one else should.  My advice to them is don't take life so seriously we will never get out of it alive.  Read further if you think any of us should never begin to take ourselves too seriously !

Speaking of  life and death here is the upshot of it all.    As Bobby V is going across the field I want to ask about what it was like being a young adult in 1967 and worrying about the draft.  I mean he must have had worries about the Major League Draft and the Military Draft.  I could not ask on such a day, and would not be able when we get to the kids.  (They were gonna be asking about whether Wally The Green Monster was real and the like).   I wonder as Memorial Day approaches all the time about that.   My son did a paper on that dynamic in Honors History at D-Y last year before going the new Sturgis.  He  interviewed with Ed Lambert and Richie Reille of the Cape Cod Veterans,  with the qualification of  talkiing to people on the ground in Vietnam,  other Military Veterans , and Civilians of that era.   I am not the only one who wonders such things as the Teacher identified that topic.  (Speaking of Veterans, Memorial Day and Ed Lambert, the best three hours in radio is coming up on the Friday before Memorial Day on WXTK from 7-10am tune in .  It is always a moving tribute to our veterans from the GI Joes and Janes, and the Joes and Janes they honor).

Now the conversation as we crossed the field did turn to life and death and the innoncence of a young man in the field as memories returned.  Bobby V.  pointed to the Center Field where he played.  He realized something else at that moment.    I guess there was a Pitcher who had an Epiletic Seisure,  and at first I thought it was the story of a ball going over the fence into a houses yard.  Bobby's memory seemed to be doing the same thing.  Then he realized he climbed the fence to go into the house to call for help.  He had previously mentioned that he was remembering all the first in life around this time,  much like Sox rookie Will Millbrook getting his first  steal,  base on balls, and first hits.  He realized as we crossed the field, that he had no idea what epilaplsy was and certainly the first incident he had encountered!

That same year my cousin was in Vietnam and somewhere after Bobby V being drafted and Bobby's Major League Career my cousin was killed in different fields of battle.   Tony C was hit by that pitch and never the same.   I think of  Ted Williams in the same fighter wing as U.S. Senator and Astronaut John Glenn.    I think of Yarmouth Veterans Baker , Chase, Desilver who were killed in WWII one in the Army and one in the Army Air Corps.  I wonder if they talked about  baseball or if they played on that field too like my kids did.    I wonder if  John Glenn who with just a letter different might be a relative.  (I may ask a Harvard Professor running for the same body Senator Glenn served).   I wonder if  Baker , Chase and Desilver was a triple play, like Tinker to Evers to Chanse.   We can only wonder, that on these fields..."   My cousin was a Marine and like Senator Glenn and Ted Williams and the Yarmouth Heroes they were a "Few Good Men".   They all did not come home to play ball like another Marine from Yarmouth,  who I would bet played on those fields the Home of Yarmouth Little League and the Minor Leagues (USMC LCPL .  Nick Xiarohos-same branch and rank as my cousin-USMC Lcpl.  Peter M. Nee).

These fields are the "Bridges to Memories of our Youth".  So when we discuss whether we name any bridge or over- pass, this Memorial Day lets think there should not be a blade of grass or a patch of land that is maintained or dedicated available to be named,  until they all are recognized.  Those are 'Memories',  we should Never Forget.   I asked Bobby V. (not to be confused with Bobby Valvano the brother of  Jimmy V.  the NC State coach and the inspiration for the Jimmy V. Classic)  as we crossed the field had he thought of that incident until that moment.  He said no.   He remembers calling the Operator there was no 911 then.   Ironic huh?   My cousin died after 1967 Impossible Dream  Red Sox Season,  he lived with my Great Aunt and Uncle .  My Great Uncle was an Usher for years at Fenway, and was there my first day at Fenway.   Both my parents were born in Sept.  1918 the same Fall of the 1918 Sox World Series and they never got to see a Red Sox World Series Championship.  They did make it in 1946 with Ted Williams, and 1967.  Nick Xiarhos died after 911,  and probably was just over Little League age in 2001 and probably  prompted his Patriotic Service  and Bobby V remembered there was no 911.  Peter Gammons in front of the MacArthur school on the grass was reminding Bobby V. about Tony C.  right near the flag pole.  Talking about the Memory of  his stats,  I was gonna ask the same question and make the same comparison as this great sports writer.    Joe Valee was right there, a former Umpire who once had a chance to Umpire at Fenway during a strike.  His friend Joe Tierney was a Boston Politician asked him, and said he could not on Principle.  Joe Tierney called him and said Buddy Larouix of the Sox told him that he respect his friend , my friend Joe Valee because of that Principle.   Joe told Bobby Valentine almost right next to the Memorial in front of  Town Hall.    I know alot of  Regular Joes.  Here is another irony involving another  Joe.  The President of  The Yarmouth Youth Baseball League is Joe Tierney, no relation as this Joe and relatives are not orginally from Boston. (I will ask Betty Warren if  they are related but I think all have Democratic roots) I think Bobby V. was All American in Two Sports .  Ted Williams was arguably the Best in two fields (Hitter and Best Fighter Pilot says the Patriot John Glenn).

The   GI Joes and Baseball Joes are ALL AMERICAN in two fields also.  Bobby V answered questions of the kids and one asked if  he could give advice to his Father who was his coach.  Bobby V.  he said "My Father was my Coach too"!  He also said I gave my Dad the same hard time as you probably do.  Someone tell my kid.   My Father didn't coach me,  he was a Veteran and his name was John Glynn.   Same name as my Brother the Umpire, the who umpired in the Cape League and friend of Joe Vallee the Umpire.  Coincidences I think not!  By the way, I introduced Joe to Suzanne McAulliffe and I know him from the Sons of  Erin.  My cousin was an Irish Citizen and Posthumously given his Citizenship.     Joe Tierney of the Yarmouth Little Leagues Father Ed helps organizes the St. Pats Day Parade is a member with Joe Valee.  His Grandson Joey Tierney plays Little League in his last year (played on same field in the minors-Little League just beyond the house Bobby called from that day in 1967)  probably about the same age as Nick Xiarohos was on 9/11/01.  Mike Karras and John Dunkin played there and at D-Y with my son and Jack Tuohy -Bedford whose Mother was League Treasurer and whose son,  Evan is deploying to Afghanistan as, you guessed it, a Marine!  You can't make this stuff up.  A politician named Speaker John McCormick ushered my cousin citizenship.  Sports and Politics -The Best Games in Town!  Oh and by the Way.  The Field name is the John Simpkims Field because of the school.  The School is named after the First name on the Memorial .  WWI Yarmouth Hero who died in the Line of  Duty-  John Simpkims and Little League starts this weekend.  They all were under 25 when they were playing and now the rest of us just have those fields of  dreams and memories! Play Ball!    Thank Vet and say WELCOME HOME BACK  TO YOUR HOME FIELD.

Code Red-CC Commi(e)sion-Nit-wit-Ski and his Matt Pitta-full Lies! [Joe Glynn]

It looks like WXTK's "Newsman" Matt Pitta seems to be carrying Waste-Water for  the limited shelf life Cape Cod Commission.   Matt has finally made into the hallowed halls of the drive by,  know it all,  media.  The problem is he is biting the hands who feed him to "Stick UP" for.  a Nit-wit led group like the Cape Cod Commission.    Matt has been carrying on in his "I am Lawyer" arrogance against many of  the Ed Lambert listeners.  Now sometimes he is obviously playing foil to Ed, but he is dead serious when he talks about the stupidity of  the shows listeners.  Now he constantly brags about going to every meeting, and that he is the lone newsman on earth, never mind on the cape.   He parades around like his take,  and witness is the fact.   He acts like Jack Nicholson in a Few Good Men and he thinks: "You can't Handle the Truth"!  The funny part is he will chastise people who weren't at a meeting he was at, so he can self-promote his attendence or some interview.  His Jack Nicholson impression is uncanny, because he is suppose to be the ultimate news-guy, and we can be sure his reports are  absolute facts but then gives people a hard time for not going to a meeting he attended.  Remember that exchange? " If your orders are always followed then why would PVT. Santiago,  be in Danger? "  Matt if your reports are always accurate then why do we ever have to attend any meetings?

I will give folks 'a few good'  reasons to doubt you?  I may get up to a few billion in short order!  Remember , last year at this time at the "Gun Slinging" Yarmouth Candidates Debate,  when waste-water was the issue?   Remember, Matt,  "The Self -Described  Gun Expert and his testimony that was way off ?   I was at that meeting Matt and you chimed in on Ed's show about your witness of that event!  Then when I pointed out you were way off and that it was a 9mm replica and a real weapon not a toy , you went on about you knowing about guns,  until we exposed your close witness as bad witness.   The real funny part is last week you finally,  (a year later),  admitted against another caller that it was not a toy!  (Mashpee school incident) It will probably be a year before you realize Paul Nit-Wit-Ski tried to sell us a load of poop with the Yarmouth Big Pipe solution.    Wait his Big Lies have already had a years worth of day light, and you still don't see it.   That's what happen to Jack Nicholson too, when he realized too late that he did something wrong!  Now this is a Code Red, or Red Code?  Nit-Wit-Ski was telling everyone in Yarmouth that Big Pipe was the solution.  They also were saying we can not wait for an Annual Town Meeting, when we fought them not to put on last years Annual.   Remember the Sky was falling and Yarmouth was named in the Suit and if we don't spend Hundreds , Hundreds and Hundreds of Millions of  Dollars on Big Pipe,  the Black Robe solution will cost Yarmouth more.  You remember "They have a Gun to our heads"?

Now that Matt is a card carrying member of the we know better than you crowd, he will not admit they were wrong on every level of that propaganda.    Remember,  we had to get everyone to turnout in Yarmouth to vote against  a vote that meant nothing because we already crushed them at  Special Town Meeting.  We did that and crushed them by more, to send the message that we don't trust them!  Now Matt never broke the story that exposed that there was a mediation session, and the Nit-Wit and the County were involv ed and named in the suit.  Yarmouth was not named in suit.    The ruling and our punishment was imminent a year ago, says them and by default Matt and the other Ministers of Propaganda!   We the people of Yarmouth were going to pay if we didn't pay upfront,  they said, and still proclaim.   Now,  they would be digging up 28 in a couple weeks, further hurting the legitmate business, and creating a traffic nightmare , if the good people of Yarmouth hadn't seen through your multiple lies.  Then to add insult of injury, the Nit-Wit  said he  was  going to take the gloves off.  We took the gloves off already on you Paul and you got knocked out of the ring, and very soon you will be thrown out of the forum.    You tried to attack a retiree and every true Patriot in town including those Seniors handed you ,  your Nit-Wit Head!

Here is the kicker.   So after the lie , filled build up,  the false sense of urgency,  (we had to pay for the Special Town Meeting), the deception that the town was named when the County was with the EPA and the Nit-Wit  were in the Mediation Sessions (and you Nit Wits never mentioned that they even existed and they were to end some months later), you come back with some App. that is a devining rod to pin point areas.    So a town wide sewar solution would not be necessary because you could isolate problem areas.  Now you and the County Commissioners said we were wrong for voting this down.   So Yarmouth saved those Hundreds and Hundreds of Millions before any bidding and cost esculators would have headed,  well toward the billion figure.   Now  your estimates for the whole Cape have come down from  Eight Billion Dollars  to  Three Billion Dollars!  Wait Yarmouth didn't do the project and the price came down?  Now Matt played lawyer semantics when I said on WXTK that "All of the Town of Yarmouth needed to be on sewer".   Matt you are right it was not the whole town.  This was our argument.   If  Big Pipe is the solution and Septic Systems the problem and everything is connected,  then why don't we need the whole town sewered or can problem nitrogen areas be isolated.  The Big Pipe Nit-Wit said, no but now from outside the ring he is touting his devine rod.  Listen Nit-Wit :  "No one is listening".  They do not trust you!  So much so that those footsteps outside the ring is the crowd coming to throw you out the door.    Matt hasn't reported this but Yarmouth will have a vote to throw the Nit-Wit Commission out on the Next Annual Town Meeting.   The people of Yarmouth are taking the lead but the other sensible Townspeople from all over are thankful to their neighbors from Yarmouth.  The Nit Wit and his Propoganda Pushers would have snowballed the Yarmouth Big Pipe into another Big Dig Bargain.   That Snow-Paul is gonna run over the Nit-Wit and Matt your arrogant Lawyer stance will not be appreciated  when your poor witness is once again revealed.   Your smarter than all of us, and so is Paul!  Yeah, right, well he took  the biggest beating ever, and that was not even needed and we knew it.  When we need it,  you are gonna be looking at a 99%  drubbing on top of that 80% beating.  Peter Neely 90 second pizza beating  will look like tomatoe sauce, by the time you pick up your bloody election day results, for coming after our Pizza Pie!

Matt I know you like to eat, and I am sure you do not want Harwich to clock you with more taxes, especially since you recently said your retirement income does not jive with expenses.  Well, those Seniors in Yarmouth and throughout the Cape are in that situation now!  The income vs. expenses does not cover them now.   Here you are covering for a Red Government Solution!  "So why the Code Red with the Nit-Wit -Ski Cape Commission that has taken Millions from Towns and have stopped nothing  bad, and opposed everything that would benefit us.  Where were they on the Yarmouth Gas Pipe, Cape Wind,  or Yarmouth Housing Authority?  The Forrest Road project is a Wastewater Issue but nothing from the Nit-Wit!   Pack your Gym Bag,  Pauly Propagand Pusher!    Matt wise up and be quite in the peanut gallery as you could be packing your bags too.  The listeners, the voters, the taxpayers and the townspeople do not want to hear from you.  Report the news or go back to cutting and pasting.  I mean the reason know one knows you cut and paste and read the Cape Cod Times is because nobody reads the times.  You know better than that !  "So why the Code RED!"  See you at the meetings!  Oh, and most of the public is not invited, and the hacks know you will carry their Waste-Water too.  We will be at the meetings that count, the Town Meetings and Town Elections.   You will be looking for another job with Nit-Wit -Ski if you keep insulting your listeners!  By the way,  they were right on the money on their analysis,  and you were wrong!  Again!  The Big question Colonel Jessup why the Code Red?  Funny part is Lt. Caffey was a Lawyer.

Yarmouth Board of Health Chairman's Ethics Bus "Left" Town! [Inside Ball]

YARMOUTH BOARD OF HEALTH CHAIR THINKS HE IS CLEAR OF VIOLATIONS BY RESIGNATION!

"Hate to say I told you so, but..."!  Usually, that is a bold face lie, but sometimes things get so predictable it is far from enjoyable.  People usually love to tell you.  that they hate to tell you.  The fact is they really love to tell you because it proves they were correct about something.  No one wants to predict the end of the world accurately, although many try the sky is falling stuff.   However,  as I said on Ground Hog Day,  the nightmare is very predictable.   The problem is these people are so oblivious or arrogant (or both), they do not even know when they are in the thick of being thick.   Yarmouth Board of Health Chairman maybe Brian Bragin' Town-Smith goes to Jail before too long.  He and other Town lefties maybe on the same Bus that "Left" Town with Sal Dimasi, and he may get on when Sal comes back to pick up some other lefties.    Sal and Felon Finneran had the same arrogance but these guys and their Attorneys were no Ground-Hogs when it came to intelligence.    However, as my mother use to say, 'If you are so smart why are'nt you rich"!  I always wanted to say :"Heritage".  but I use to say, at every opportunity.  "If the rich are so smart , how come that rich guy did that stupid thing!"  She also, said "The poor you will always have with you".  I thought she meant that in the Biblical sense not the literal one!  (I am not the guy with Powerball in R. I.   I  could have gotten even on $350 Million, and maybe next months rent."  Anyway,  Sal, Tommy, and Brian may have the same reaction to this ethics stuff, as the Cathedral High School football team who lost the SuperBowl.  "Oh c'mon!   They all believe there innocent and sans the H.S. football infraction,  the laws are clear on their misdeeds.

Now I am sure the readership of Inside Ball has certainly increased on Town Hall computers, and certainly by five if you count the Sneak-lectman who read off campus.    Finneran's arrogance became apparent in alot of circles well before he took the hit, but many thought that he was too smart to make the simple errors.  However,  his loyalty was thought to be one beyond reproach and those around him equally loyal.   Same thing for Sal.  Now Brian,  I can tell you straight out,  these guys would never do the obvious stuff you have done.   They lived by the motto, never write when you can speak, never speak when you can nod...etc.    You did them all except wink, unless you count your silent partners.    There are minutes, by-laws, video,  newspaper , radio quotes,  that make it easy for the State Ethics Commission to document your "mere appearance of impropriety."'  Only one, I mean one hundred problems with your situation .   It is not just appearance when YOU have said,  differently.   The only difference with Felon Finneran, Sal and you,   is they were smart enough not to say it.   One other difference,  is you don't have nearly as many people who hate you, as them.   I honestly believe you are more ignorant than arrogant, but it is clearly one or the other!   I don't think you will intentionally throw others under the bus, but frankly their are more numb-skulls sleeping under the bus in the Town Hall parking lot, throwing is not necessary!   These people actually have gotten mad at me, and all I have done was given them fair warning on everything, again and again.   (See whole Ground Hog Day Nightmare de'ja vu -all over again).  I know it's redundant, but with this crowd, it really isn't.  It's just plain ol' accurate.

What is real funny, is they heckle me, and then quote me, soon after.  I mean after awhile Bill Murray in the Movie became aware it was happening again.  These Cronies,  don't just refuse acknowledgement of the facts I have made them aware,  they act like it is their original idea.    That is alright with me.   I have always believed ideas are a feat of association,  but these cats fight it at every turn.   Brian has been publicizing his poor analysis.  At least the Sneak-lectman and the Town Administrator are not Bragin' about their mis-steps daily.   They do mis-quote,  and mis-plan,  but they back track as soon as it is pointed out.  Again Bragin' Brian, is not trying to cover up his mis-deeds, and that is what makes him not as smart.  Maybe, treacherous, sly,  or duplicitous more accurate for some of  the others,  but ignorance of the law or intention does not constitute an alibi!    That is why, "Oh c'mon!", and " Why would I do that" are not usual recommendations from Attorneys.  Now ,  will you and other people involved in all that mess end up becoming Felons?  Probably not.   Unless,  Conspiracy is tied to numerous entities,  and funding sources.   I mean even Curt "The Coward" Sears had to admit that your whole WIC involvement was another one!   Where have you heard this stuff before ?  Is the alarm clock playing Sonny and Cher in your head?  Does my voice singing,   "I got you babe..."  sound familiar ?  I mean you did not have to see the Movie, to realize in real life,  that I gave you fair warning on this.  I know that there are many in town who are Jailhouse Lawyers, and some who are actual Lawyers who make statements of  fact, that are absolutely wrong!  A couple who we pay, come to mind.  One who has Ethics Commission experience.   The thing about lawyers is,  in every case,  50% are wrong!   Jailhouse lawyers, that percentage various, and sometimes better.

Now Queeny McPipe,  (and yes she brought up WW again, and will again) said you were ahead of your time,  when accepting your resignation.  Yeah, that is one way to put it.   Kind of  like John Kerry was ahead of  his time on Insider Trading before the President signed Scott Browns Insider Trading Bill.  (It was funny watching Kerry sitting down while Scott Brown stood when the President mentioned at the State of  the Union).   Ahead of your Time,  kind of  like the Quirky Lawyer Sneak-lectman and his Ethics Violations.   He never had to pay the fine, but those were different times, ask Tommy and Sal.   I mean they could say,  "You are busting me when Bulger ran things up here way worse than us"?   Again,  the Corrupt Midget wasn't called Billy "Brag-in- Town -Smith when he went to Washington.  Now it is too late for you to plead the fifth,  and unlike Nixon,  the Video tapes of those meetings are not Executive Privilege.   Grant it,  Executive Session Minutes can be deleted or lost, as many have been of late, but fewer and fewer on my watch, thank you very much!

So Brian despite your self-annoited dismissal of  conflict of  interest and attempted and withdrawn financial disclosure,  you are not the authority.   You can not say, " I am not making money,  so there is no conflict".   You,  or any Attorney you are listening to ,  Jailhouse,  Town House, or  Hired,  have missed the bus.   Please do not take my advice , as an adjudication, but don't take the advice of  headline writers or editors from Cape paper either,   (Paperless-or Paper full daily editors)!     Headlines are neither innocent verdicts,  or retroactive.   The only thing worse than a jailhouse lawyer, is a Journalist pretending to be on your side.  (Although,  I think some leftie and rightie Journalist still avoid throwing a source under the bus).   Usually,  the Journalist let you hang yourself with your own rope.  In this case Brian Bragin' in Town,  may bring down more people they he intended besides himself.   Motels, WIC,  Wasterwater treatment for Motels,  Affordable Housing,  Attorney with history of  Ethics Violations,  Motel owners who were against Wastewater,  on WIC,  help create Motel By-Law,  Motel owners who supported the Attorney who became a Selectman who supported big pipe.  Motel owners who have two Affordable Housing projects pending.  Motel Owner who helped craft motel by-law .   Two different Motel owners who were in violation of the By-Law for years without enforcement from Selectman or BOH Chairman.   It sounds like alot of people here.  But all of the above are 4 people.  Throw in a Brother and Business partner,  and add Affordable Housing players,  and members of  Boards and you can add a few other people sleeping under the bus.

Now like Sal Dimasi,  people do some serious talking when they are in for serious time.   Now does this get amped up,  to Sal and Felon Finneran status.   Well,  there is Federal and State cash that is substantial, and Sal is doing eight years for $50-60k.   Heck, that is less than the money the Town gave to low lifes to move out of town for First , Last and Security.   Now I did not say Drug Dealers like one Selectman attributed,  I did say low quality.  The police may support the Drug Dealer claim,  in the documents of  hundreds of calls to those hotels.    Oh, one other tid bit.   You know that Irish Banker who owned property in Chatham home of  the Yarmouth Town Administrator.  Well,  this Irish Banker gave one of the above Motel Owners for Big Pipe,  and in violation of the By-Law ignored for years. (BTW Queeny McPipe said on the record,  she took a tour during violation period of  this Motel Property ),  got his first business loan from the disgraced Irish Banker, of Anglo Irish Bank,  David Drumm.  This story goes International again in another illegal way,  but I will hold up on that.    Don't worry about the source about this Irish Banker connection because I heard like I heard about Brian Brag-in-town.  I heard from the source, another Brag-in-town!    This guy and another seems to have the same problem as Mia did , during the Superbowl half time.   I don't know if she got fined, but I would be willing to bet the money they lose more than I saved not betting on the Patriots.  (I saved a ton because I jinxed it, when these guys forced the nick names back, so I reduced my action to zero because I am Superstitious).  They will lose more than the number of  fingers that they and Mia showed, but maturity is not one of things for any of them.

Oh, and as dumb as the Town know it alls  are,  these finger showers will apologize before the Town Cronies Thank any of  us.  Neither will happen anytime soon, but the "Right" Bus,  doesn't leave Town it rides around, doing loops .  Unfortunately, ridership is down as much as CCRTA, and the quality on the Left Bus,  is the same.   Ironically,  the Druggie, Sex-Offender, and this crowd may on the same bus as Sal Dimasi when it comes back around!

The Ethics bus in this Left Town,  Left Town.  How many people are under it,  remains .  It depends on Bragin- Town!   Sports and Politics Best Games in Town!    More to follow because believe it there is more, unfortunately.  They have not all LEFT TOWN!

Groundhog -Yar, Yar, Yarmouth Pirate Sneak-lectmen wave Red Flags not Red, White and Blue like Patriot fans!

Yar, Yar, like that Pirate Credit Card Commercial,  is my newest Yarmouth Sneak-lectman impression!  Now,  it's not my fault if the Patriots lose.  It is not my fault if  Pirate Sneak-lectman are not Patriot fans of any sort.  (Football or  U.S. Patriots) ! I tried to keep my promise not to give nicknames out until the Patriots win the Superbowl.  My original promise was until we beat Denver then Baltimore, but my stupid -stitchin,  makes me walk over the lines on baseball fields,  even after I lose.  However, with Ground hog day coming up, (Phil and Sneaklectman saw their shadows) I wonder if this is a dream or nightmare I am re-living.   The Sneak-lectman have been paying us some lip service, so much I started to believe they were listening and changing for the better.  I stopped calling the entrenced McAulliffe Queeny Mcpipe when we got the dissolution of the WIC.  I figured come on Joe,  act like you have been there before and be a classy winner, and cut them some slack.  They listened to you finally and disbanded the WIC, and Queeny I mean Suzanne,  even said lets rename and recharge ( in the begining) after your suggestion.  I know,  it never happened and the WIC members wanted out, because of the embarassment of attachment.   Ok, well they took the suggestion of  forming a committee for the Forest Road/Captain's Village group.  (Somehow the nowhere State Senator and State Rep. got credit for that in local paper?)  Well,  Suzanne-toinette , I mean Sneak-lectman McAullife, suggested the Government Oversight Committee be extended.  Yeah, we gave her credit and got a nice laugh and AED advertisement for Town Hall safety at the same time.  Only, problem crickets, and less Government oversight followed.  Give them an inch, and they find another way to prove your distrust.   We remind them that this Town government is the purest form of  Democracy.

They even use your buzz words of  Red Flags.  (SEE RED FLAG PIECE OF LAST SUMMER), accountability, and transparency.   However, not on themselves.  No they talked about Selectman Meeting notes, and executive sessions, as well as staff conversations .   Of course, this was not them but the Barnstable CVEC.   Queeny even said,  "When I got calls to not to look into this stuff,  Red Flags went up".   Wow, I was as proud as my son finally fixing his jump shot, after making numerous suggestions.  Alas, my excitement with Sneak-lectman was just wishful thinking.

There are no less than  five major issues that are slam dunk ,  Red Flags.  I have seen more Red Flags lately than at the height of the Cold War in all of  Communist Russia!   So, I have been on them for months about the Motel By-Law.  There are a number of scary Politbureau things going on with this, but I am gonna wait on more specifics, because this will need a full column to address.   Then there is the Cape Wind Host agreement.  I have been asking since the summer for the Executive Session meetings on all of these negotiations.  They could not be found.  Finally, after other oversight discussions some notes appeared.  The practice of the board listening to public comment then getting the last word, has not bothered me, because I figure, my points are not disputed and my word vs. their record favors me.   I am coming back, and they look worse when I counterpoint, next week.  So Queeny is asked by another Selectman about an expiration of the Transmission Platform and lines and the Host agreement.  Queeny was the only current Sneaklectman in the meeting and no one else had access to information.  (Clearly an Open Meeting violation that they pointed out about the other body).  Now I am looking at the agreement and it expires while watching the remainder of meeting at home.  I fell off my bed, a common occurence with these clowns, so much so, that I am looking into bedrails.  Only problem is when they are spining their wheels trying ex post facto attempts to save friends,  who have violated the Motel By law, I will not be able to keep one foot on the floor or be dizzy, with bedrails.   Anyway,  Queeny McPipe says no, there is no expiration. " ...If and when it happens".   Sorry Queeny, I know you being in the room does not mean you are paying attention, but you are wrong.  "  There is an expiration and it is next year.   Now you see this is why we have this public stuff because the more people that know the better it is for the Public.  I know it makes it harder for you to prove how much power you have but hate to break it to you , but  the "Power is vested in the people", especially in a Pure Democracy!  This Town Government is the purest in the world.  I know you said it was renegotiated in 2007 because it was not enough.(They also promised to bring back to Town Meeting Authorization to withdraw from Cape Cod Commission but people remember Charter language from begining of Time but not things a few Town Meetings ago). That is great because that and several other reasons gives us an opening to renegotiate again.  This time we get up front money, from those clowns who broke the first agreement by using the Town as leverage in their dealings.  BTW Mr. Kimmel you mentioned was in article in CC Times today, by Greg O'Brien in My View I believe.  Greg writes here also, and he wrote a similar article to mine on the whole Tebow thing a few weeks back.  Great minds think alike.  Anyway,  back to Moscow flashback Red Flags.  Our Attorney Kimmel in this deal, is now as Greg and Queeny point out, the State Commisioner of ...(wait for it)  Environmental Affairs.  (Think Ian Bowles and Ken Salazar if  you do not get like Sneak-lectman.)What a coincidence huh?

Now the town has had its own recent issue with planning and Executive Sessions in regard to the Englewood Beach/New Hampshire/Berry Ave area.  This is the rationale for Force Majeure on this agreement .  It also is common sense, that we know is often lacking else where, but par for course with this bunch in its abundant absence frequency!    Does Red Rose Inn ring a bell for Executive Sessions Circa June?  Motivated Forgeting and Motivated Memory.     How do I remember?  Well when I was looking for other Minutes and Videos that one was on hold, during your whole Big Pipe scam!  Oh, wait, remember Joe,  Classy Winner you proved their ignorance x 10 on that one, already.   (I also, have another Memory set, Irish Alzheimers-I forget everything but the grudges) .   So there are many still outstanding, and Queeny said yeah we can renegotiate, but this will be followed by crickets.  It is all lip service.  Nothing but " Peek a Boo Enforcement",  and a sudden change in voter location and downtown Lenningrad meets route 28.  Throw in the Affordable Housing Committee and two motels who really wanted Big Pipe, and you have Stalingrad and 28.  The best one got thrown back in, last night by a media member who said, the Chairman of the Board of Health, (Who is the enforcement officer for violations of the Motel By law), just closed on the Cavalier and West Yarmouth lodgings. ( A million dollar plus and he asked the CPC for $680K, not to long ago, "Peek a-Boo"!  They(CPC)  just ask for another $25k for First, and last for people much like the amounts similar for the same Motels, (Peek -a -Boo) but more for first, last and security for those people who nearly half of them left town with the cash).    I kid you not, can someone call North Korea and China because we need more Red Flags.

I know I did not mention the money that the Affordable Housing Committee gave for first last and Security for the violators who were tenants because this was not from Selectman or  Board of Health but a brain storm from the paid staff of  Community Development. The Tenents did not know law,  nor did those not enforcing it.   (See Ignorance of the law is no excuse).  Peek-a -Boo!    I mean they(Tenants)  really didn't know but we have to pay to have them leave town.  (And this solves "Our" affordable housing problem how?)  Oh, because the owners of the 2 of 3 closest local hotels with "Town" connections have their own conversion plans. Peek-a -Boo!  (Not counting Chairman of  Board of  Health).  Oh ok?  Is that shipment from China in yet, to wave?  Yeah,  these Sneak-lectman are no Patriot fans.  Because in that shipment of Red Flags, can we have all the Tea in China?  We can dump it off boats in Nantucket Sound, at Englewood Beach.

All of you Town Patriots it is not my fault,  and Superbowl Patriots will win anyway!  38-20! It not it is not my fault, but theirs, for making me break it with their behavior.  I am as sure as there being Government Oversight in Yarmouth!  (Actually alot more confident than that but that is not saying much).  There will be Patriot fans with appreciation for the good fight!   I believe in the best in people, so hope someday I can call these Sneak-lectman people who will do the right thing.  Call me a cautious optimist,  I am hoping Gronk is playing 'possum. but still think Ocho-Stinko may really surprise us!  If not he can run for Sneak-lectman after his career is over shortly.   I hope he moves into Precint 5 or 6 because the two incumbent Sneak-lectman are worried about high voter turnout that includes all those that voted against them on Big Pipe. (Oh, they said that was the School District who wanted the change and we found out that was not true.  The School actually wants the public to come into the buildings,  and see what is going on.  It also is a good civic lessons for kids, but we will not let their lack of facts get in the way of  their own shadow).  I know not that much confidence, but they both have their games to play.  " Act like you been there before Joe, just like the Patriots"!  Patriots lost before, and we won against Big Pipe!   We will win again,  and beat the Giants, on and off the field.(Giant Bad Government and Giant NY, Teams).  We just have to watch the games!  If you think  I am responsible  because of  broken nickname promise,  then you also believe in Punxatony Phil.  In Yarmouth its Ground Hog Day all over again.  Six more weeks until next ,  smoke filled room!      Plenty more games to play!

Sports and Politics the Best Games in Town!

Stranded Dolphins/GOP/SPORTS PREDICTION ROLL! -How do you like me now?

HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW?  Look back at "Doubting Thomas #12" piece before Pats vs Denver, and Predictions before New Year, titled Slow Turtles and Stranded Dolphins!

As I said, the trick about Predictions are to pick out the most obvious ones that will happen that no one is paying attention to!   Bank heist,  political graft etc.  will happen but when is the trick.  (Funny one that no one had was one I predicted when Patriots lost to Buffalo,  "Klimm will walk"  and Barnstable and New England Patriots Loss by a Klimm Margin"! ) Same things with sports.  Everybody, had Green Bay and /or New Orleans in Superbowl, and there was not enough talk about the Pats.  Being a Contrarian does not mean you have to pick the long shots.  The Pats were easy for me,  for alot of reasons.  My call of that game (Baltimore and esp. Denver)  was freaky but not surprising in both Denver and  Baltimore games.    South Carolina Newt thing was obvious from Iowa for me.   The sports example always used is history of teams.   People will say things like :  This team has not won here in 20 years etc.  Well , unless someone was on the team 20 years ago it makes no difference.  Heck, if the guy played 20 years ago,  it is doubtful they have the same impact.    It is often used in weather climates but not consistently.   Like if the Miami team is going to Green Bay in the dead of winter.   Well if  the whole Miami Team played for Michigan in college, and have been on the road, in Denver, Minnesota, Detroit and New England the last four weeks then the impact is minimal.  If the Green Bay team played in Tampa, Arizona and there players played college in Florida etc, you see my point.

This is propaganda and it happens in Sports and Politics.  There are billions being wagered in both, not counting my dinners.   The Stranded Dolphin prediction was both a political and scientific call.  It is the season with the budget and the waves crash as consistently as the tides, as I predicted.   The key is to get a feel for the information, and be the one to make the call first.   I made the crazy prediction on the Brokered Convention stuff based on my feelings on these individual states.  The foregone conclusion of Romney was my prediction that was based on others false premise.  The polls are wrong alot especially when you sift through motivations.  In this election,  the bad weather calls were the electability pitch, vs.  the electability sell.  Romney made a great pitch, and NH bought it but it was an easier sell.  South Carolina and Florida tougher sell.   The media has a play, in both sports and politics.  The Giants and the Patriots was the best script for the media and so is a protracted Convention fight.  Media buys in every state, and an August Convention battle will sell alot of  commericials and beget more in the Fall for the General.    Sports and Politics the Best Games in Town!
