Paul Stanley of KISS on New Album

KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley has issued the following update:

"We're about four days from finishing the new KISS album. Eleven tracks, and
it IS everything I've told you. It IS classic. It IS all written within the
band. And IT ROCKS BIG TIME! Tommy [Thayer, guitar] and Eric [Singer, drums]
both handle lead vocals. The songs, sound and playing will knock your socks
off. You will all be as proud and excited as we all are. Oh...and WAIT till
you see the cover! We ARE just getting started!"

As previously reported, KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons confirmed that a
deal is in the works with Wal-Mart that will result in an "entire section"
of the giant retailer's stores across the country (apparently dubbed "Kiss
Korner") being dedicated to KISS.

Simmons and Stanley made a surprise stop at the at the 39th annual Wal-Mart
shareholders meeting on June 5 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Though they didn't
perform, a camera crew from Simmons' A&E TV show "Gene Simmons Family
Jewels" followed him around Bud Walton Arena.

There has been no official announcement of a KISS deal with Wal-Mart for the
band's next CD, although artists such as THE EAGLES and AC/DC have both
issued recent albums exclusively through the giant retailer. In addition,
AEROSMITH guitarist Joe Perry may have inadvertently let it slip that the
band's next studio album will come out exclusively through Wal-Mart.

KISS made headlines in April when it announced its U.S. and Canadian tour
will be the world's first to put fans in charge of where a tour is routed.
This is destined to be the most explosive show of the year; and by
partnering with web site Eventful, fans will "Demand" exactly where KISS and
will perform in (top-voted) North American markets beginning this September.

KISS just wrapped up an astonishing trek through South America, where fans
hailed the band at sold-out stadium shows across the continent. From the
Hipodroma la Rinconada in Caracas, Venezuela to the River Plate Stadium in
Buenos Aires, Argentina, KISS treated fans to a set of some of rock's
greatest hits, including "Rock and Roll All Nite", "Detroit Rock City", "God
Gave Rock & Roll to You" and "Shout It Out Loud", and more. The group's 2009
South American tour also included sold-out dates in Santiago, Chile; Rio de
Janeiro and Sao Paulo, Brazil; Bogota, Columbia and Lima, Peru.

An official video announcement by the band's Paul Stanley, Eric Singer,
Tommy Thayer and Gene Simmons (see video at KissOnline.com), shot in front
of a capacity crowd in Santiago, kicked off this first-ever tour promotion.
With tens of thousands of their Chilean counterparts cheering in the
background, North American fans were astonished to learn that they were
being put in charge of routing their favorite band's upcoming tour.

Ho hum, what's coming in the USA.? If Germany wasn't so c-c-c-c-cold in the winter, I'd be there.

Thoughts anyone?

Adam Lambert of American Idol & Queen "Future Project?"

After Adam Lambert's killer performance with Queen on Wednesday night's season finale of American Idol, rumors flew that he had already been offered a job singing with the band. That's slightly premature, according to the band's guitarist, Brian May. "Amongst all that furor, there wasn't really a quiet moment to talk," May tells Rolling Stone in an e-mail interview. "But [drummer Roger Taylor] and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with him at some point. It's not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn't that easy. But I'd certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there."

May, whose band recently ended a four-year-long partnership with singer Paul Rodgers, is comfortable with Idol as a launching point for the careers of rock singers. "You'd have to define ‘legitimate' first," he writes. "The long-term answer has to be that, if you have enough talent and enough will to succeed, you will get there by whatever route presents itself. Once you have scaled the castle walls, with the sword in your hand, it matters little
how you got there. I've not always been positive about shows like this, but there is no doubt that it offers a door to some real genuine talent along the way."

"Both those boys are well worthy of big success," May continues, in regard to Lambert and Idol winner Kris Allen. "So it's pointless for someone like me to stand on the sidelines jeering. I'm confident Adam will make great use of this wonderful opportunity. I hope I'm there to see it."

Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band "Human Touch In Orlando" November 21, 2002

My my my, if you seek a great audience recording, that is the "The Rising" tour, this is a great addition.  For you purists out there, there a few sentences, yelps and whistles in the beginning?  I recall that but over all a solid performance from the E Street Band.  I have it in wav format on my computer and will honor Yahoo Instant Messenger transfer to whomever wants this near gigabyte sized show.   For an audience recording I rate this a 5 out of 5 stars, an A for the occasion.  Here is the link from Jungleland for the show.   http://jungleland.dnsalias.com/torrents-browse-date.php?year=2002&month=11&day=21   Setlist with perfect no gap and loss.     21-11-2002 - Orlando - TD Waterhouse

CD-R Trade--EAC-->.wav files-->flac files
Source unknown. Good audience recording.

01 - The Rising
02 - Lonesome Day
03 - No Surrender
04 - Candy's Room
05 - Empty Sky
06 - You're Missing
07 - Waitin' On A Sunny Day
08 - Darlington County
09 - It's Hard To Be A Saint In The City
10 - World's Apart
11 - Badlands
12 - She's The One
13 - Mary's Place

14 - Human Touch
15 - The Promise
16 - Into The Fire
17 - Glory Days
18 - Born To Run
19 - Detroit Medley
20 - My City Of Ruins
21 - Born In The USA
22 - Land Of Hope Anbd Dreams
23 - Dancing In The Dark

I appreciate "Human Touch" as excellent but almost under par vocally, lack of fire from Bruce, not a problem with the band.   When Chris has the song dedicated to him, it reminds me that http://www.m2tech.us had an office in Florida and Chris Morris was someone I thought his niece needed a little human touch from along from her aunt, Janet.   Whoever Bruce Springsteen was dedicating the song "Human Touch" to that beautifully recorded bootleg, freely distributed with no charge for admission to this recording, it happend during my birthday.   "Freedom" had been circulating the internet as I a follower of the career of Springsteen, Bruce, I wondered if my song , a collaboration was ever going to get noticed.  Then "Teddy's Song" came out in 2003, fall of and I know I borrowed some of "The Promised Land" in idealism, a nary hook from it, the riff of a longer riff, know what I refer to?  A favorite.   So "Devils And Dust" came out in 2005 and the harmonica solo I have from "Freedom" is I believe in fair response, used for a model for Bruce's own intentions.   I'm loving it.   Together we beat as one.

Ssshhhh!!!! It's Too Quiet

Sssshhh It's Too Quiet..   What is everybody doing in here?  I'm contemplating going to watch the remake of "Friday The 13th" in Hyannis sometime tomorrow.  Anyone want to go Friday February 13th, 2009?   How about Valentines Day, everyone got a sweet heart already for the day / night?   I was over in balmy Hyannis yesterday night at the Black Spot Cafe Bar of 10 Ocean Street, Hyannis and performed two original songs, "Teddy's Song" (into) "Act Of Mercy" before perhaps 30 people in such a small great establishment.   You, what about you?  How has 2009 and the Barack Obama Presidency faired with you?

Superbowl: Cardinals vs. Steelers

I've been a life long Patriots fan with the Arizona Cardinals being my
NFC team since the demise of the Joe Montana 49ers era.

As much as I want to witness history in Tampa via television, I think the
Cardinals are going to be the Seahawks of the Superbowl vs. the
Steelers.....
