The NetBud Band: "Something There"
"Something There"
October 2003
There's something I've been telling
myself
There's been something sittin' on my shelf
There's been this story
that I was told
Now there's this woman in my life she is so very
bold
She's got a diamond stud nose and hair like a friend
She is my wife I
know of whom I can depend on
Mmm yea
Mmm
Well there is this man up
in the desert somewhere
I swear I seen 'em in my room with this cosmic
stare
I was just a teenager as I laid in bed
And then I knew there was
something moving in my head
So I know this life that I could leave with dread
Is something that's better off sang unsaid
Mmmm
Mmm
Mmm
So
as I hear you talk everywhere I walk
And as the beat goes on to the tick of
the clock
I understand this is not my only block
And everywhere I go I
hear the seagulls flock
Up in the sky and on the ground and all over
town
They tell the stories where they do not frown
I seen the crows fly by
every single day
But it's almost winter time summers gone
away
Uhuh
So as I wonder where I might be next
I know there's
certainly something called a safe sure bet
That everywhere I turn there will
be something learned
Something past present future and it's something I
earn
So I know that somewhere deep inside
There is something called little
'bit 'o foolish pride
I cannot take my soul and let it hide
I know there's
something there I can see inside
Uhuh
So everywhere I turn there's
something learned
There's just one more thing in this book I read
And I
know that this is history
From a 1000 years ago before B. C.
Unto this
time in the year 2003
There is this man in the desert he's chasing me
We
call him you know what his name is need I repeat it see
I'm thinking I've
seen him very personally
And maybe you have too in the dreams you
live
It's something that we better learn to forgive
That though the
descendents of our time in time
There's something there that we might
find
And if you look real hard then maybe we'll see
That inside us all
there is victory
With a little battle from deep inside
I know you can fill
yourself with un-foolish pride
Uhuh

Poetry In Motion "Act Of Mercy" (a. k. a.) "Unity"
"Act Of Mercy"
September 2003
In an act of mercy
From somebody in a
bind
A morning dove landed waiting for me
Patiently and intently on the
telephone line
With a gift, an order, a simple plea
Come here young
man and talk with me
My eyes roam where danger may be found
My ears listen
carefully for any sound
My heart it beats in accordance with you
In chaos
and or calm I must remain true
In hopes that I can keep helping our skies be
blue
In trust, that I remain faithful to you
Remember the times devoid
of fights
Delights of innocent days and or nights
Inhibitions left behind
while in bliss
For splendors of sharing nakedness
Nobody knew the meaning
of lies
And nobody heard any painful cries
For nobody dared and nobody
implied
To keep a soul from being alive
Believe me somebody has
tried
My instincts told me where I was bound
For a destination with a
stop or two
With and or without a clear image and sound
Keeping in time
while the words I find
Come from a place that is truly divine
Still there
is this hellish nature by design
I know there is much to keep in
mind
I know you and I have to let it all go sometime
I am sure you and I
will find in places discreet
Nary a moment left in the darkest of the
deep
The truths of consciousness that we keep
The forgotten may be a
contradiction
Perhaps the remembered will create friction
True reality
derived from fact and or fiction
There’s much we experience and more we are
missing
So please take my hand
Stranger and friend
There is a place
for us to be in the end
Tell my lover it is she of whom I send
All my love
and hopes and prayers whilst I make amends
For crimes past and present for a
innocent future
So the next life has a place to live within again
Into the
next moment and the moment thereafter
In hopes of peace, unity and
laughter

Wednesday Night August 26, 2009, Dedicated To Senator Ted Kennedy @ The Black Spot Cafe
Hi,
I don't mind saturated coverage via t. v. about Senator Ted Kennedy, after all I grew up with him as Senator, since I was born (and before that), 1967. I wasn't surprised that Ted passed away. Do I have the right to call him "Ted"? You betcha! After all he called me Bill before. Long story, for another time.
Anyways, every Wednesday night there is open microphone night at http://www.theblackspotcafe.com or http://www.myspace.com/theblackspotcafe of 10 Ocean Street, Hyannis, MA. 1-508-771-4004 if you are interested in performing or just care to sit or stand and listen, it's always free for performers and there is no cover charge whatsoever. If you are unfamilar to Ocean Street but know a little bit about Hyannis, Main Street, there is the Cape Cod Times building and Ocean Street is the first major intersection so if you are headed to the Black Spot Cafe, take a left, (head south).
Living Lies
Say
Got Me World Wide
Those three songs are the 3 that I performed tonight and in memorium of Senator Ted Kennedy, "Say" was for him.
I suppose if I were known world wide, I'd have anothe r ID handy and a few doubles nearby. So why do I write that. Another reason why Ted Kennedy is legend.
God's got an incredible man and Senator (one in the same really) up in Heaven now. Rest in peace.
As always, I've got 14 original folksy, rocksy, bluesy and jazzy songs for sale, 14 tales really. Try some of the lesser known online retailers, listed at my domain, the CD is incredibly inexpensive at those reputable outlets.
Peace,
God Bless,
William (W. K.) Mahler

PS: I'm not debating whether or not the name http://www.netbud.us (owned by me) oughta be used as a "new" band name of mine, it's a matter of finding a place to rehearse and the equipment too. Most importantly, it' s finding members for the band, knowing, pay could be $20 between X amount of people for now LOL. For the love of the original music!

Doing His Very Best Craig (Tonight At The Black Spot Cafe)
Doing his very best Craig. (That would be me singing like I always do on
stage at the Black Spot Cafe).
Craig Arthur Doane was a good man that
died an early age.
He left behind a daughter and widow, wherever they may be,
best wishes and
you've got my attention, anytime.
Since 1990-1991, New
Years Eve, the Heavens took Craig home.
There was also one very special woman
of whom her name you know.
Eunice Kennedy Shriver, forever rest in
peace.
So tonights setlist, goes as follows, in my mind, and I'm telling
you here,
I did not say this on stage,
the performance was dedicated to
them.

Reflections Of...."Walk this way, talk this way"
I was born in 67.
And ya, as little as I knew back then, I did NOT know of the Special
Olympics till around 73-74 but did manage to know SO as I stood face to
face with Mrs. Shriver, Eunice and discussed the SO long before anyone could
tell me a word or two about it.
Don't mess with the Kennedys, love 'em today and tomorrow and for a long
time to come, for they have risked and given their personal lives to an
insurmountable amount of people and ya know what? They are as human as you
and or I.
Geez, I remember almost having my body beat to a pulp once on the streets of
probably Yarmouth when JKO stopped her driver and I got into that car, it
saved me from being a very sore kid at the time.
Unbelievably kind she was, I was referring to John F. Kennedy's wife,
Jacquelyn Kennedy Onassis.
I will say I had a daydream once while residing off of Sea Street Ext. that
Senator Ted Kennedy was riding around in a vehicle much like a tank but more
like a hummer, with his upper torso out of the top of the round hole he was
protruding from. That was within the last decade.
Bill1255, thanks for getting me to write.
So as "one sided" as my memory can be, I can honestly tell you that above.
And Bill1255, yes there is a way I knew of Mrs. Shriver, for God's sake
man, Cape Cod was a small community when I look and understand just how big
a place such as New York is as a community.
"Nobody crowds you and nobody goes it alone" - Long Walk Home, Bruce
Springsteen.
Mrs. Shriver then, looked much like Mrs. Shriver, Maria today.
Can anyone explain to me and a former school mate of mine why one of the
Kennedy (or) Shriver children look so much like my former school mate?
She's in her early 40's now. I won't mention names, she's unaware I'm
writing this.
For what it's worth, I remember JFK Jr. being a light blue shirt wearing
summer BPD officer telling me that there is no such thing as non lethal
weapons. Thank GOD for Barnstable town workers who got me out of a jam then
and there on Sea Street Ext.
It was one of my cousins cousins that drove JFK Jr. & his wife and her
sister to the airport before that fateful journey this decade.
As for Mrs. Shriver, Eunice, trust me, if there was ever an angel looking
not down, but amongst us, it is she at this very moment.
I'd been at the Kennedy compound as a boy and oddly enough, someone else
too, but I won't mention the persons name here, it's not worth the time and
effort to blow ill will or wind here. Definatly not a Kennedy or Shriver or
anyone of the clan. Not to be confused with the KKK but still, the person
walks and drives and rides amongst us.
All I remember is being a boy, and coming across two punks that was sizing
Mrs. Kennedy - Shriver up to mug her and well, I left knowing she was
alright, the two boys got lost and I, well I took off with the Forests.
Long before the Forests became a family name to me. Eventually, it became a
memory and I reflected upon the life of Eunice today, yesterday and will
tonight too.
That day was probably somewhere near a beach, but there was a trail in front
of the two of us, some trees to my left and a road behind me.
Someone tell me who is MaryJo and Bobbi/y? I would swear that phone call I
got yesterday was none other than a Shriver herself seeking some family. I
was landscaping at the time and the reality was, it was just my workmate and
I out in Sandwich, MA.
.....walk this way, talk this way.....
I write no more.
WK
..>>The above was taken out of rec.music.artists.springsteen, via GoogleGroups.Com moments ago, in response to a couple of posts from Bill1255 and Debbie.
Thought it'd do some good here.
Thanks,
William K. Mahler
Hyannis, MA. USA.
I'm easy to find, BPD has a friend amongst their ranks that I sought today.
PS...in spirit I took off with the Forests but the reality is, I left with my mom.
