Sandwich Republican Town Committee's Annual Yard Sale to be held this Saturday
Sale begins at 8 a.m. in Sandwich
SANDWICH - The Sandwich Republican Town Committee's (SRTC) Annual Yard Sale will begin on Saturday, June 13th at 8 a.m.
If you have items to donate, please bring them to the yard sale location at 7:30 a.m., prior to the start of the sale of call Jeff Perry at 508-888-3094.
The yard sale will be held on Route 6A in Sandwich, across the street from the State Fish Hatchery.

Christy Mihos to speak at the Sandwich Republicans' monthly meeting
Meeting to be held in June at Hemisphere
The Sandwich Republican Town Committee (SRTC) will hold their Monthly Meeting on Tuesday, June 9, 2009.
The Committee will hear from guest speaker Christy Mihos who recently announced he will be seeking the Republican nomination for Governor in 2010. In addition to the regular
business meeting, there will be a discussion on the upcoming annual yard sale slated for June 13th, the 4th of July Float and the summer meeting schedule.
The meeting will begin at 7:00 pm and will be held at Hemisphere Restaurant on Town Neck Road in Sandwich. Prior to the meeting at 6:00pm, all are invited to join the Committee for dinner. A door prize donated by Sandwich Pizza will also be awarded to one lucky attendee.
The Sandwich Republican Town Committee encourages residents to visit their website where recent press releases are available. The mission statement, core beliefs, and Republican history are stated as well as information about upcoming events. The website also contains information about meetings and how to sign up to help Republican candidates both locally and nationally.
Governor to return to Wareham in July on Summer Town Hall Meeting Tour
Wareham town hall meeting set for Wednesday, July 29th
Governor Deval Patrick kicked off his Summer Town Hall Meeting Tour last night in Denn
is on the Village Green. The tour will continue with another fourteen locations across the Commonwealth including Wareham.
The Wareham meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 29th at 6:30 p.m. The location will be announced at a later date.
The meetings are open to the public and are intended to give local residents the opportunity to address the governor directly.

Governor Patrick to hold town hall-style meeting in Dennis next week
Open meeting scheduled for Tuesday, May 26th
Governor Deval Patrick will be holding a town hall-style meeting at Carleton Hall in Dennis Village on Tuesday, May 26, 2009. The meeting, slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. that evening, is open to the public.
Residents are encouraged to attend and to bring questions for the governor.
Carleton Hall is located at 1006 Old Bass River in Dennis, next door to the Dennis Memorial Library.
Lt. Guv to hold community forum on choices and priorities Thursday
The financial challenges of the Commonwealth to be discussed in Hyannis
Thursday in Hyannis, Lieutenant Governor Timothy Murray will moderate a community forum on choices and priorities facing Massachusetts in the current economic climate. Governor Deval Patrick launched the statewide series of public meetings to give local residents an opportunity to discuss the difficult budget decisions,
reform proposals and revenue packages being debate on Beacon Hill.
“Given the enormous financial challenges we face and the significant opportunities we have for reform, it is essential that we meet with residents to hear what’s on their minds and take their ideas and concerns back to Beacon Hill,” said Lieutenant Governor Murray.

Guv to spend Thursday on Cape Cod
Deval Patrick making the rounds on the sandbar today
Governor Deval Patrick will make three public appearances on Cape Cod Thursday, April 30, 2009. At 10 a.m., Patrick will make a local economic recovery announcement relative to unemployment services at Career Opportunities on North Street in Hyannis. At the time he will announce new Stimulus funds for employment training programs in Barnstable County.
At 2 p.m., the governor will meet with local tourism industry leaders at Wequassett Inn on Route 28, East Harwich where he will answer questions relating to the the Commonwealth's latest tourism campaign and funding for Cape Cod.
Finally, to end his Cape Cod day, the governor will swear in J. Thomas Kirkman as Associate Justice of the Orleans District Court at 4 p.m. at the Barnstable District Court on Route 6A in Barnstable Village.
Candidate for Falmouth selectman begins "I Am Listening" tour Sunday
Volosevich to meet with local residents
Robert Volosevich, candidate for selectman, is inviting residents of Falmouth to sit down with him for a cup of coffee and a conversation about the issues that are most important to them.
The I Am Listening Tour series begins April 26 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the My Tin Man Diner in North Falmouth on 70 County Road. Times and locations for additional I Am Listening Tour(s) will be announced soon.

Bourne Candidates Forum set for April 29th

The Bourne Committee of the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce will host a Candidates Forum on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 from 8am to 9am at the Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School.
Four candidates for selectmen are vying for two open seats:
- James Sloniecki (incumbent)
- Stanley Andrews
- Robert Collett
- Donald J. Picard
The election will take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2009.
The forum is open to the public and will be moderated by Robert W. Parady, Chair, Bourne Committee.
The forum will be held in the Canalside Dining Room at the Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School at 220 Sandwich Road in Bourne. [map]
