Paul McCowen isnt actually that nice of a guy... I went to Sturgis for 4 years and everytime I went to buy something, he always had some smart alicky remark to say to me. And he constantly makes questionable remarks to people. He is not as nice as people make him out to be, TRUST ME.

As for this case, it was just another frivolous complaint that had no legal basis and attempted to defend what was clearly in violation of the law.

I believe some one--those responsible for the "barrage of press coverage"--should pay the owner plenty for harassment, loss of business, and diminishment of good will.

Apparently people feel they can accuse (J'accuse!), complain, sue, and harass with complete impunity. This nonsense is injurious to the innocent and takes up too much of our society's time.

Interesting letter in the Patriot today from a person who writes in often with mostly negative comments about the town and its' councilors. This letter calls for a councilor to apologize and quit b/c he/she allegedly has been harassing a resident of Cotuit via email. I wonder if this particular letter writer will call for Councilor Milne to apologize and quit for his treatment, in person, of staff members at the transfer station. Lets see if there is a double standard.

BTW do we have to keep looking at his signs around town. TAKE THEM DOWN NOW!

I'm not impressed with Bank of America. In any event, has anyone checked to see if it is that legal for them to charge for a check that is drawn on their bank?

eddiet1971 your comment is naive. You honesty believe that the media reports on everything and everyone equally, especially our local media? The arrest log can be requested by anyone since it is public information as well as the reports related to the 3 incidents at the transfer station. Reporters and Editors from both local newspapers have been aware of these incidents for quite a while, but chose not to investigate and report on them. Ask them why they have not followed through on these things. Do the leg work yourself if you think it is a "bunch of bull".

This is interesting, but if it was really true then we would be reading about it in the print media.

I'd like to know what Mr. Milne does for a living? I ask because many times it indicates whether a politician can really understand the daily challenges facing his/her constituents. Has he worked hard in a "team environment" to earn a pay check. Please do a follow up on this aspect of Mr. Milne's resume.
