It's nice to see the smiles.

In a world full of hatred, greed, apathy, selfishness...it's always nice to see the smiles.

Santa saves money by using a boat instead of reindeers most of the year (getting the reindeers to fly requires copiuos use of a powerful and expensive venison steroid), with the exception being what people at the Pole call "official business."

I know this because Santa saves money every year by replacing the elves (who have a powerful union) with Smurfs. I was Minister Of Information one year.

My husband won the 10 Pounds Of Turkey Consumed Race.

Thanks guys, it was "Nan C's" not mine. It's funny how one single tree can change the texture of the neighborhood.

When I was young and innocence was fresh
I played under an old weeping willow.
I don’t know why it has such a sad name.
I had so much joy
hidden away in that fantasy land
dreaming and imagining under that tree
of my future and happiness and love.

Then life came along and I wasted
so much time weeping like that willow
that I almost forgot the times I played
and just knew my prince charming would come along.

I've lived in several beach communities over the course of my life, and each neighborhood has one person who is assigned the duty of leaving a chair out for the winter. It makes the place look more winsome.
