Sorry about nonno's passing. I never did get to meet mine. Good genes definitely play a big part in ones health. The Italians know how to eat well and most are good cooks. My half sib's died in their late 80's and 90's too. Dad was 86 when I was 12. I hope to out live him, God willing. Just think buzz, we could still be blogging while in our rockers one day!

My dad's family was from Sicily. He lived (passed away recently, great man) to 91. He never in his life drank bottled water. Only from the tap from the city supply.

Buzz, don't think the water in Ned's driveway will satisfy my palate. No offense, Neddy! Rainwater contains much junk, and I'm not even a bio-specialist, but let's be real.
And I just wanted to mention that the manufacturer of the water is in the process of creating a better recycling product, while they propose a good argument for square bottles (for shipping ease and packaging, saves space that round bottles leave behind). But seriously, dad drank from Stoneham springs for years and in the mountain regions of N.Italy, lived till he was 86. This water carried many vital minerals, our treated water is lacking. Have you ever looked into a rusty pipe that delivers your delicious tap? And not to mention Otis and it's damage to the plumes. When you have worked around scientists as long as I have, you learn all kinds of interesting things the public doesn't learn. It's all about real estate, right Buzz, and keeping it under wraps. I'll keep drinking my artesian water. Remember whatever you put into your body shows, now or later.

Hamas attacks from within the general populace as a human shield..how noble.
(not that it excuses the current war on either side..)
But, as you say Bitter, let those who want to fight..fight..
Using innocents as fodder is the lowest!
I still think that those who command, and supply, soldiers to die, should lead the charge....
Presidents, dictators, generals, congressmen, senators, bankers, et al..
Then we'll see how many wars will start.

Thousands of Iraqi's are as well. And why?
So we can keep those M-1A3 battle tanks rolling.
There's money in them thar hills ma.
I don't care what your excuse is....there is none!
Get all the big boys and girls men and women who hate each other, and let them kill each other off. Leave the babies out of it!
In response to: Snowstorm, then deep freeze, heading Cape's way
..the ludicrous comment regarding greasing the wheels of a M-1A3 Main Battle Tank.
And none was directed personally..
Ruby Ridge at the former Third Eye..by the NSA..?
Ignorance(junk science, propoganda) is perpetrated, manipulated, by every side of industry and government and,
depends on which side,or neither, one stands to beleive..
The controversy is argued from both positions creating doubt of the original issue..
Perhaps it's all an illusion..
While we position ourselves, the money rolls in for both parties spearheading their cause celebre..
Let's go back to plain ignorance and satire...
Zombies and pickles takes the cake..as quote of the week..
(and eats it)..
I'll still take the brunettes..
The dimples are all yours..

It’s the study of the politics of ignorance. I’m looking at how ignorance is actively created through things like military secrecy in science or through deliberate policies like the tobacco industry’s effort to manufacture doubt through their “doubt is our product” strategy. So it’s not that science inherently always grows. It can actually be destroyed in certain ways, or ignorance can actually be created.
How common is the active creation of ignorance? I mean, in terms of sowing doubt, certainly global warming is a famous one. You know, the global warming denialists who for years have managed to say, “Well, the case is not proven. We need more research.” And interesting is that a lot of the people working on that were also the people working for Big Tobacco..."

Oh, LOL! Okay, get it now. You always have the best response. You bring humor in at the precise moment it's needed. Neddy is an artist afterall and can paint a wild canvas with words as well as the image! You got to admit, the dramatic effect worked. It got everyones attention.

Possee, I don't get what you're saying about brunettes though, do auburnettes count? Hey, have you seen the 1981 movie, "Thief", with James Caan? Netflix has become a great way to surf missed treasures. Check it, best performance of JC. About the bottled water, you guys are pretty funny! Buzz, I love the taste of artesian water. Claim is that the water never makes contact with the environment. I know all about the bottle. I hear it from the energy Nazis in my office. ....

Ned [Member] writes:
Wingnutz; they're like zombies or pickles, once they've 'turned' there's no bringing 'em to their original condition of cool-headed cucumberhood. Trudging along after Drudge, they come to the Blogs in search of Brains to devour. When the Liberals are eaten they'll be f*cked, unable to die and unsatisfied by the taste of each other's necrotic flesh. At last the shambling hordes will drag Limbaugh from his St.Petersburg aerie. Comfort Cuisine indeed!

Neddy, "buzz, don't use fabreeze or the dog is toast", LOL, well let's hope not. And whoever is eating the twinkies should switch to treats at Trader Joes. I swear by that place. Get your favs elsewhere if you must, but eating healthy is better for the body and mind. I also switched from spring to water from the south pacific. There was a study by sierra club about chemicals we use in our home that may be linked to illness. Go green if you can. I'm sure DuPont won't tell you what you'd rather not know.
