In response to: Hate Mail From Anti-American Gay Marriage Lobby Rank-In-File
I would just like to say how pleased I am to have stumbled upon this blog. I am a gay Conservative Party supporter in Nova Scotia, and I agree with Aaron's stance on gay marraige. I think Canada made the wrong decision when they created same-sex marraige. In a society where the church and state are separated, the state has no role in defining marraige. What Canada AND America should do is abolish the legal definition of marraige, and invite everyone to have civil unions, where civil unions allow the same legal rights as marraige had done in the past.

Aaron, thank you so much for standing up for what you believe in. I hate how in our society we are expected to think and believe according to the labels that we are stamped with. We are all free-thinking individuals, and our orientation is a part of us no more than our beliefs and thoughts are. Keep on fighting the good fight!

possee..."It is a deliberate attempt to extract money from the usual suspects".

That is Cape Wind's game plan. They will not lower electric rates on Cape Cod. Probably, as you suggest, double them.

While the innocent citizens, paying the bill, think they are supporting green energy.

The wind factory will have no effect on global warming or air quality. But it will raise your electric bill.

Folks, please wake up. It is your Nantucket Sound that they want to destroy for their own profit. Not yours.

The warming hoax is alive and continually perpetrated by Bush Gore Obama , the media, in all public schools.and now embraced by certain big businesses.

It is a deliberate attempt to extract money from the usual suspects and will take years to debunk this myth from the constant barrage the public has swallowed, accepted, and now believes as the truth..

Aaron...global warming?
The Year the Global Warming Hoax Died
By Alan Caruba
MichNews.com
Sep 3, 2007
When did the global warming hoax die? Historians are likely to pinpoint 2007. It will take another decade to insure it cannot be revived, but the avalanche of scientific studies and the cumulative impact of scientists who have publicly joined those who debunked the lies on which it has been based will be noted as the tipping point.
It took some forty years to unmask the Piltdown Man hoax that began in 1912 alleging that the skull of an ancient ancestor of man had been found in England. Any number of British anthropologists unwittingly contributed to the hoax by confirming the authenticity of the skull until it was found that the jaw of an orangutan had been cunningly attached. The unmasking of “global warming” has taken less than half that time.
The hoax has mainly been a creation of the United Nations Environmental Program and took off in earnest with the 1992 Earth Summit. It culminated in 1997 with the Kyoto Climate Control Protocol".

Thanks Ubiq. Respect is good.

Obfusc., great missive. And your choice of words are great!

Hi Democrant, you seem to be in good spirits.

And finally, Crusader. I feel your pain. I totally understand why many of those peacenicks feel the way they do. I also really care about and appreciate the work of our soldiers. And you are 100% right, many soldiers, millions throughout history, have died due to lust for greed and power. This has gone on for thousands of years. What is the anodyne to man's greed and lust?

Aaron,

I've got a bunch of photos from last year's protest at the commons, if you are interested. But first I've got to download and manipulated them to fit. I'm still trying to learn how to use my Sony digital/computer. And I even got some recordings of the chants from the march down Newbury Street and Copley. What an event! I don't know how this year's protest was, have you heard anything about it? Did any of the media venues carry it? Last year they printed a short column on a page in the middle of the globe where no one could see it. No surprise. I don't know why people are so hung up about protesters. We don't hate the soldiers--we had the war! And are angry at the politicians and profiteers who have lied to us about what this war really is about! Bring the troops home! How many more lives must be spared for their greed and lust for power?

I especially like the part where you talk about liberals calling for cuts and layoffs. I don't think anyone is calling for it, it is a reality, which may be a strange concept to he Bush Administration that inherited a budget surplus, and turned it into hundred of billions more in deficits. I enjoy that as much as the, "it looks like the end of the world, but not really" stuff. I thougt the news that Ringo Starr has asked fans not to send any more mail to him, was the tipping point.

There once was a lady named Crusader
Who told Maverick "I'll see you later."
She got onto a bus (northbound) in such an awful fuss,
She thought she was in beddy with Neddy.

There once was a blogger named Aaron
Whose knowledge of Bible was legion.
He come onto the forum like a Nor'east storm,
And ran smack into the resident moron(s).
P.S., he failed to lose his decorum.

Prudential? Wachovia? There once was a TV financier name Jim Cramer,
who knew all the names of the famous.
Came into work one day,
And before he could pray,
The market tanked right away.

Thanks Crusader! You a re great. Yes, I would love to see some photos.

I remember I was in DC during spring break with a college friend. We went to a protest at the white house just so that we could take pictures of the eccentric people and for the laughs. My friend was a extremely liberal, and even he couldn't stop laughing at some of the signs we read and the things that people were chanting. Then again, his father was the president of Prudential Financial and an executive with Wachovia so I am sure that he was really a Republican down deep.

Maverick, who gave you the idea that I wanted to run for office. Like I said, I am not a natural politician and am totally turned off by politics right now. If I wanted to run for office, I would have in this election cycle. Instead, I chose to maintain a REAL job.

Aaron,

I can see why you remain on the Cape. I wish you the best in your career and personal life. Like my friends say, "you're too cosmopolitan for a place like the Cape"...and Mav would say..."it's SOME of the residents I have a problem with"...whatever...I can still visit Neddy and a few other good friends I've made while I was there full-time. It's best I remain at home. Boston is my home and will always be, and I understand that too, Aaron. Good Luck and I'll looking forward to reading more of your blogs.

Neddy....stop, that's not nice. Don't pick on Aaron. I was interested to hear Ron Paul's stance and look up some of his background. Pretty impressive career and have to admit I agree with some of it, but not all.

Aaron, I met Jeff Perry and he's one Republican I do like. Good man and believe he's got the people's interests first. I was introduced to him by a democrat who is a friend of Solon, believe it or not. He still stays in touch with me.

Would you guys be interested in seeing some protest photos?

Ron Paul? Here is a weird and wizened old man with a squeaky voice and and skeleton body. He reminds me a lot of Dennis Kucinich. That's my first impression. But after looking past his pusillanimous demeanor, he isn't too bad. He cares a lot about families and children and is a doctor. I really admire that.

Hey Crusader,

I am back on Cape Cod.

As for politics, I am not a natural politician. If you want to be a political player these days, it seems like you have to use chicanery and be ersatz.

However, I have attended a few local events on the Cape, helped a little here and there with a few local campaigns (both Republican and Democrat), and I hate to say it, but I do think that Democrat Deval is doing a decent job.

That pretty much sums it up.

OHH! Lest I forget, I have re-registered as Unenrolled (Independent). I am not very impressed with either party these days.

Aaron,

Don't let the comments stir you up. We are all entitled to our own opinions, and that means you are, too. I've often watched programs on Nostradomos and there are many believers, especially those who adhere to the words of the bible.

What is going on with you politically these days? Are you working in Boston? I wondered what your thoughts are about Ron Paul? I met some people at the peace rally this weekend who are supporting him, but I haven't followed his politics.

Aaron,

I found your blog thought provoking and well written. I've also heard claims of the evil leader who will cause wars in the middle east and bring our world into chaos and total destruction. It seems to be on that path, doesn't it? Maybe a miracle to reverse the course?

Neddy,

Loved your post. I was having a late dinner after class keep up on the BB and laughed out loud, had to share it with my friend the bartender, he said it was great, esp your last line. He makes the best frozen strawberry magherita, extra shots of special tequila. Have we reached Dante's Inferno yet? Think we're there. When does Noah come to town?

A wingnut? A faith-based article? I think not. Nowhere did I say that we are about to experience the end of the world as referenced in the bible. I don't think we are. I just think it's interesting how many "warning signs" from the bible seem to be occuring these days. So, I wanted to express my thoughts.

There is nothing inappropriate about pondering spirituality and circumspect about the future od our country.

Crusader, was your friend Vinny Ciampa from Somerville? Or maybe it was Susan Pope. Who was it?
05/24/08 @ 8:05 am
Karen, you are horribly misinformed. I AM gay and have always been a supporter of gay rights. When Matthew Shepard and Teena Brandon were murdened, I believed that their killer should have been put to death. However, I have since changed my views regarding the death penalty. Many gay activists fought against homophobic killers getting the death penalty. Does that make them homophobic? We all have different theories about what constitutes "gay rights," wehter it be in relation to marriage or hate crime justice. Before you make ignorant statements, get your facts STRAIGHT!

You are probably another one of Sarah Peake's malicious political buddies.
