Scoop, us "people sitting on the sidelines" are the ones who have stopped reading dailies filled with news we read about yesterday on cable, I-Pods, Cellphones and the web.
If you think your dailies are doing fine then Kirk Davis isn't showing you the books.

The Cape Cod Times has been dissembling about Cape Wind since the very beginning, thus their continuing drop in circulation from over 60,000 fifteen years ago to 40,000 today.
In that same period the cape's population has gone up 35,000.

Did anyone notice that our local Kennedy daily puffery press ignored his widely reported wish to dub his wife as his replacement?
They also managed to ignore the reported seriousness of his illness which all the rest of the national press reported as not operable, and many reported he may have a very short time left.
