MPI is operated by some of the most well known paranormal investigators and researchers in New England. No other group in the area offers the education programs, experience or opportunities that MPI does.
Please come to this fundraiser for the library and introduce yourself. If you don't have a great time, I'll personally refund your money!

The Massachusetts Paranormal Institute and CAIPRS both hold FREE and very interesting lectures at 4C's. They are all worth attending if you are interested in the paranormal. And, yes...the Cape is quite haunted. There are other paranormal lectures by another group who charges between $20.00 and $25.00 for tickets. In my opinion MPI and CAIPRS are the best.

GREAT! Stick with it!

Thank you for your support. Never done an investigation anywhere in NH. We stay quite busy right here.

I have read Damore's book and I also know, personally, one of the State Troopers actually involved in the investigation. If what you say is true, then you are well aware there are a great many details that did not come out in the book. I also personally interviewed 4 people, in person, who all had been living in Truro at the time and they all told me that it was commonly held by many of those (civillians) closest to the investigation that the girls had been murdered then transported to that crypt where they were dismembered. I think that's pretty reliable stuff. And how would you know whether or not Costa ever visited that cemetery or not? You psychic?
Maybe you should talk to a few locals!

I think Peter is the most demonic thing I've bumped into! The truth is I don't take it personally and either does he.
Yes, and why does Ryan have a 10-12 digit log number for every case? I'm sure we'll find out!
I do get a kick out of that Derek Accorah on Most Haunted.
In response to: Pursuing the Paranormal: Good Ghost, bad ghost?!
Go back and read the blog. We were told by several Truro residents about what took place in that crypt and that is what I reported.
There are no charlatans(correct spelling) here except yourself trying to make others think you're normal and actally follow your drivel. But as we know that's usually just for a laugh. We do have a great following of folks interested in what paranormal investigation is really about. I will continue to tell it like I see it. Despite your rudeness!
In response to: Pursuing the Paranormal: Good Ghost, bad ghost?!
Sorry I insulted your favorite show. But believe me TAPS is much more authentic.
In response to: Pursuing the Paranormal: Good Ghost, bad ghost?!
You are absolutely correct. And I believe that most of what is on this show is staged. After all it is entertainment. Thank you.
In response to: Pursuing the Paranormal: Good Ghost, bad ghost?!
Thanks, I enjoy writing it except for the personal attacks from the "smaller
minds" among us.
No one has all the answers but we do learn at little at a time. I just believe that when the public sees shows like PS it gets a false view of true paranormal investigation which, like any surveillance type activity, for the most part is boring and uneventful. At NESPI we do get far better results per investigation than any other organization we know of but we have learned through trial & error what works and what does not. I'll keep you posted!

It's the same group that showed you up for the boob you are regarding the Barnstable House. Remember, you actually had to appologized for your "bad" information. You thought you built it or something?? My suggestion to you, my friend, is a little testosterone therapy! Have a great day, if you know how. Thank you!

It has been my experience that an intelligent haunting can revolve around either a location or an individual while a residual haunting is locked into the location.
In response to: Pursuing the Paranormal: "In His Garden"
Just been right out straight.
Hi Peter,
That quite something! There is a lot that didn't make it into Leo's book and the majority of what is written is absolutely historically accurate. I never said the dismemberment part of our story came from the book. We got that from more than one source who all stated that they had been given the story that the girls were were killed elsewhere but dismembered in the crypt. No one can know for certain.
Thank you for the additional details!

Lamore keeps mentioning Hatch Road and a cul de sac. We intend to pick this up again in the spring. We are just out straight through the Hollidays. I just got a copy of Lamore's book and have read only a couple of chapters. It's really quite gripping. The information we had was that the bodies were recovered, unearthed at Storm Hill but were mutilated in the Pine Grove Cemetery crypt.
I cant wait to resume this one.
Dave
In response to: Pursuing the Paranormal: "In His Garden"
We attempted to locate Storm Hill with no luck. We've already decided to return here for a follow up but it won't be until next year. Please get in touch with me if anyone knows precisely where this is.
Thanks
Dave
In response to: Pursuing the Paranormal: "In His Garden"
When we arrived at about 7:15 PM there were several people walking their dogs there. It must be a popular place.
We were told by three sources that the crypt was where everything except the murders took place. Two were Truro residents and one had researched the story. In fact, I think it might even be a well known fact around town. The authorities never released the exact location of where the 2 bodies were found but the area is well known to the
locals.

I tend to agree with you about the saltwater which may elevate the salinity of the air on shore as well. Is it possible to arrange an investigation for any (or all) of these homes?
In response to: Not a ghost of a chance
Honestly, I have to admit that even after all my paranormal investigations, I have yet to see a ghost. But I have heard & spoken with them along with many others in our group. Yeah, I know exactly what you're thinking, we're not. Anyway, I really enjoyed your article and I'll be looking for more!
In response to: Pursuing the Paranormal
Your construction knowledge of the period is very interesting as well as impressive.
Jack relayed the story to me one morning over breakfast in a fashion only he could do.
If you think of it, please let me know when you post your debunking article. I really do look forward to reading it.
Thank you, Peter.

There was book written about the Barnstable House and here's some ad copy:
Life of A Haunted House
(The Barnstable House of Barnstable (Cape Cod), Massachusetts)
This is a true haunting story of one of the most historical homes on Cape Cod. Built in 1713 at Scituate, Massachusetts, just a few miles south of Boston by the famous Paine family, it was barged to Barnstable across the Cape Cod Bay to its final resting place on the historic and scenic Kings Highway (Route 6A). Sounds pretty simple ah! Well, think again! This tale begins with the cutting down of a large tree in the Scituate forest to build this house. It is sometimes narrated by this tree (fictional). After many years of research, this author has put together a genealogy of sorts of the owners, history and its ghosts.
***
By the way, Jack Bragington-Smith had the stuffing scared out of him at the Crocker Tavern House while he stayed there.
In response to: Pursuing the Paranormal
Actually, we're not talking about the Crocker House. It's the Barnstable House. And the house WAS built in Scituate and the house WAS floated down to Barnstable. You are correct that Melville is believed to have written a chapter or two here and actually married the owner's daughter. Peter, I think either you're a little confused or need new glasses.
In response to: The Ghost is in the Chimney!
I see it didn't take you long to chime in knowing I would be away.
Okay, let's set the record straight. First of all, had you done your homework, you'd know that WE ARE THE DEBUNKERS! We go into every ivestigation as SKEPTIKS with an open mind. We try to use natural causes and physics to explain what has been reported as paranormal activity. The vast majority of the time we find just that, natural occurrences, and once in a while a little deception pops up. So we don't understand what you are trying to twist this into. What we don't take into any investigations is non-members for mainly two reasons:
safety & confidentiality. You add nothing that we can see. You allegedly taught some course, doesn't mean you were qualified to do so. In any event, get your facts straight before you start making accusations and watch the personal attacks or I'll block you out. My sandbox, my rules. And by the way, you would have been better served had Grammie spent less time on cold spots and a little more time on manners!
In response to: The Ghost is in the Chimney!
Funny you should say that. There is a production company that wants to follow us around for that very purpose. We'll see where that goes.
No turf wars, there's plenty to go around. NESPI & TAPS both recently investigated the NIMROD RESTAURANT in Falmouth and we both plan on doing it again. Some of the results are on our website (which is down for another 48 hours but after that): www.nespi.net. Thanks for asking!

Hello Capri, I have no problem with closed minded people as long as they don't pretend to be something else. When they start telling you how open-minded and objective they are only to find out later that their true nature is anything but. I just don't care for deceptive people. Please feel free to email me more of your experiences. I'd love to hear them if you feel like sharing such personal things at capecodghosthunter@comcast.net

This is the tenth time you write as if there is ONE wind farm to be placed SOMEWHERE rather than everywhere.

Very interesting. I would, very much, enjoy speaking with you more on your debunking crusader stories. We define ourselves as "skeptics with open minds". Our goal going into an investigation is to debunk everything we can. As you are aware, the vast majority of reported paranormal activity can be explained away by very rational and normal conditions but every now and then you are left with things that just don't add up.
I don't understand your computer comment, sorry.
In closing, we don't feel the need to prove anything one way or the other to anyone save our clients. We collect the data in as scientific a way as can be done, analyze it and then report what we find. Which ever way it goes. At NESPI we are quite busy and take our work very seriously.
As you stated we have all the gear so
you offer to go with us but what do you bring? Going into an investigation with a skeptical attitude is one thing, but going in with a predetermined conclusion benefits no one. Thanks for the offer, we'll see.

I stated that I thought it was interesting that mice could hear up to 91K Hz. and that they also could be the cause of many incidents of "pets seeing ghosts".
I should have started the third paragraph with the last sentence of the second.
Thank you, I'll be more careful in the future.
