Anonymous34, the comment was directed towards the coverage of the story by CWN reporters. In regards for the firefighters standing around, many firefighters were called in to help battle the blaze and provide mutual assistance. Negative bfd245j, both fires were totally seperate incidents. The one in Sandwich took place at the end of Falmouth/Sandwich Road and the one at otis took place near the PAVE PAWS installment on the base.

i would call some of these brush fires in mashpee and sandwich suspicious but, it IS that time of year again. lots of direct sunlight, dry brush and wind, perfect combo for brush fires. the fire towers across southern new england are now on active duty. summer here we come.

I was with my friend driving back from his house at around 10:05 and we got to the intersection at Lumbert Mill Road and Old Falmouth Road in Centerville and there were 3 Barnstable Police cruiser parked on the side of the road, flashers going with one NStar guy looking into the woods/telephone pole. Must've been a problem with the telephone pole.
