In response to: Cape Cod of yesterday--In the words of a local
upon moving here last year, there was a major cc drug sting in the fall. one resident of this community is a well-known heroin user/seller (a 30 'bid,' how's that for a scary new word?!) and is back in prison on his, i guess, 31st 'bid.' this is not uncommon for the cape. i also had the choice pleasure of being conned and assaulted by a level 3 sex offender. have installed a cadillac of a security system for my home, and hope for the best until circumstances (the housing market and court) allow me to leave.

as a newbie, hit with a major drug sting and the cw/gm horror as soon as i moved down here, i was/am as shocked as you by 'cape cod crazy': the crime, corruption, and just plain incompetence is like living in a third-world country.
