A lot of it has to do with the money, but there's a lot of it that's also about the politics.'
Native?
The most current mashpee 'constitution' is online:
http://mashpeewampanoagtribe.com/PDF%20Files/Enrollment%20Ordinance.pdf
Anyone who has danced in powwows for twenty years, go for it.
Or, like the Narragansett, disinter your grandfather.
Or, if everyone does a DNA test, maybe we're all related, at least that 1/8th percent, but hopefully most of us will not display the behaviors of the Wampanoag clans.
Does the BIA have ANY federal standards for federally recognized tribal enrollments proving that enrolled members are descended from ancestors listed on 1880s census; birth, death, and marriage certificates; and criminal background checks.
'Gambling money' is now native, possibly far, far worse than a welfare state.

Secret meetings regarding enrollment issues is simply let's make a deal for a new SUV.
"The Northeast Algonquin-speaking tribes, and the Iroquois, both encompassed from as far as western Canada to the southern atlantic.
Exact connections between any prehistoric peoples cannot be determined, but they most probably migrated from the south.
Wars between the Algonquin and Iroquois bands were unending.
Tribal/band terrorities were always vague and changing.
The Iroquois played a huge part in defeating the Wampanoag and other Algonquin bands of whatever territory they were claiming as theirs."
"no_rez_on_cc (registered user) writes: Natives have always warred against each other, long before 'whitey' arrived.
Natives are, and always have been, as American as Donald Trump."

Please re-post the 'victory' photos of Glenn Marshall with the Mashpee band, as well as those of them with Strather, et al.
Please also print a news report answering the questions on the aforementioned enrollment issues, which everyone has a right to know, however much they attempt to cover up the fraud.
Thank you.

'Are members of the Mashpee or Aquinnah required to prove that they are descended from ancestors listed on an 1880 census using birth, death, and marriage certificates?
What percent bloodline is required? One-eighth? One-sixteenth?
If a person/member has any type of criminal and/or drug history, are they removed from 'enrollment'?'
Without a doubt, it is the Mashpee band, with their questionable enrollments and lack of ethics in goverance, that has created nation-wide issues, including the BIA, the Gaming Commission, the IRS, the FBI, etc.
Because of the Mashpee's now reknowned corrupt activities, all bands are under scrutiny, and national policies are being examined.
Enrollment issues, if one has nothing to hide, should be forthcoming.
When band members are exhuming bodies for a wamp-card-in-wallet for bingo or a casino, life is not as we know it.

While your views are appreciated, stop blaming 'whitey' (how many times did you use the word 'white'?) for the corruption of North and South America.
The natives of North and South America were not peaceful; the tribal bands warred amongst themselves, genocide if you will.
Their human sacrifices were not so peaceful.
The corruption and fraud of so-called natives nowadays is what is factual and offensive.
As is blaming 'white' people for their corruption and fraudulent claims of 'supremacy.'
Natives warred amongst themselves long before 'whitey' showed up.
They joined up with 'whitey' whenever they could. Whenever it was to their advantage.
That is global emmigration, and human nature.
Mixed-breeds, who have no stake in any fake'em take'em bingo or casino scam, are highly offended by these supposed natives ruthlessly pursuing what they perceive as the American dream.
One way or the other, they will make certain that 'whitey' pays the tax bills for the welfare, crime, and basically, just their total bs.

The Iroquois and Algonquin were at war.
All over North America.
Get a grip.

In a vast collection of Native history and ethnology, there is little to no evidence of 'peaceful,' 'sovereign,' native bands.
Just politics as usual.
Who taught whom?
The Puritans stated in historical documents that the Natives taught them the native ways of warfare.
