In response to: Romney lies to AP
Isn't "beholden to" the only kind of lobbying that would count as negative? Mitt put it well when he said he is not going to Washington or spending 20+ million of his own money to do favors for lobbyist, whether they are paid or friends.

Mitt is a man of judgment who will weigh carefully any such proposal with his greater responsibility to the American people.

In response to: Romney lies to AP
The only group that Mitt Romney will owe any favor to is the American people, and maybe his family on a Sunday afternoon.

Romney is no more a liar than Glen is a rat. I was thoroughly unimpressed with this reporters' spin on Romney's words. Romney is not beholden to, nor does he answer to any lobbyist. Kauffman cannot afford Mitt, except as a family friend. Also, has it occurred to you that Fred Thompson himself is a registered lobbyist? Should that disqualify him from VP consideration?
