While waiting for Nickerson's ruling, even with a new trial, BG's job as a criminal defense atty is to defend McGowen, and ONLY McGowen. HE is the one who is afraid to let McGowen speak, because BG has the facts, and BG has atty-client privilege. McGowen probably was involved, at least in some way, along with Frazier, and BG knows this. McGowen has to rat Frazier out, AGAIN, which most criminals behind bars are very afraid to do. dianna, my most recent worst job ever was not just editing the MCAS graphics and text questions, but US-wide standardized tests in public schools. The graphics and text problems that some educators submit for publication are very problematic--standardized tests are mainly multiple choice--and often there are multiple answers, and with such poor graphics. Whatever educators are designing these problems for children are not living up to their own standards. The publishing companies submit them, regardless, to children in US schools anyway, despite these conflicts, which have been addressed, but just keep falling through the cracks. Every educator is taught that standardized testing is bs. But at least the publishers pay me $35-$50/hour. MCAS is a work in progress. If you worked for these educational publishers, you'd know.
