fyi - one report from another news source is reporting that the police have already ruled out a connection between the possible gun shots and the stabbing, what is hyannis coming to where you can have more than one violent crime withing yards of another and the two not even being related. a friend of mine on the force told me that citizens don't even know the half of it. i just found this site, nice job?

Joakim fires back!
February 10, 2008 by hyannisnews

“There’s a new Sheriff in town!”

Janet Joakim fired back at bloggers today, showing apparent concern regarding town meeting security in light of the recent Kirkwood shootings where six people were killed. On her blog “Seven Villages” Town Council President Janet “Go Ahead Punk” Joakim seems to be very concerned about the possibility of someone going POSTAL at any one of Barnstable’s many town meetings. (Or could this be just another sly attempt to put further restrictions on town meeting commenters? - Or is Joakim really worried?)

Today, Joakim pledged to address the subject of possible mass shootings at public meetings. On her blog Joakim says she will be looking at the issue over the next week or so. Click here to visit Janet’s blog and learn more ——> http://sevenvillagesblog.com/ You go girl!

Romney quits presidential bid, 'for our party and our country'... No, Romny quit the race because he didn't have the votes he needed. I like what Mit had to say, but did he mean it?

Now we're looking at the remaining liberal candidates and wondering who we hate the most. After all, that's the American way. For me, I hate Hillary the most, perhaps because I'm a male chauvinist pig, or perhaps I can't stand her laugh... whatever, I know for certain I can't stand her the most. Hillary can count on my non-vote. Obama, McCain, or Huckleberry Hound?

Buzz - thanks for your feedback. I did not see anything in the cc times. it must not have been a major story. according to capecodtoday.com and hyannisnews.com the man lived her as growing up. he was neglected and instituionalized here locally. that is important information about the local systems. the national story asks the question as to why judges are allowed to make decisions that threaten our communities and why are they never held responsible for these actions? capecodtoday.com and hyannisnews.com at least present the question. I've learned from these two news services much more about the ineptness of our local systems, especially regarding local youth, than the daily printed paper the cape times. why does the times not cover these important stories, especially when the courts are in question. are the cc times part of a broken system, are they in bed with the cover up of the ineptness of local services and systems?

thank you crusader, i can't believe how people are obsessed with this one issue. for example, a cape man is let loose to rape a little boy the other day by a recklace "judge" who ignored 3 experts that told him this sexual predator is very dangerous. hyannisnews.com and capecodtoday.com (sort of ) are the only news agencies that even mention this national story! capecodonline.com doesn't even mention the story (a little boy's life was ripped apart right in front of his mom - hello!) cape cod times runs the mcgowen trial as the top story? I'm not saying that Mcgowen is important, all i'm saying is that it shouldn't get played as the top story everyday. there are many more victims and issues out there. I've been reading the cape cod times and i'm told that this is the biggest paper - give me a break! the times is absolutely the worst "news paper" i've ever seen. capecodtoday.com and hyannisnews.com at least give me something fresh to read.

anything more on the judge who let a cape man out to rape a little boy? hyannisnews.com suggests that the police are irate at the judge. capecodonline.com still has nothing. capecodtoday.com ran a story republished from the globe last night. in my opinion this is possibly a national story. the judge was warned about this sexual predator, he ignored experts and disgraced the justice system, basically making himself an accomplice to the rape.

do they have a description? I hope they catch this jerk. taxi cab drivers don't make too much and to have what little you do make stolen is the lowest of the low.

all i'm saying is that this is not a big story! for example hyannisnews.com is running a headline that a cape man raped a 6 year old boy after the judge set him free too early. that's a current issue and potential national story. cape cod today also re puplished the globe story, but nothing yet new on this site, cape cod times doesn't even mention the story.

O'Keefe does not seem very bright. I can't believe we cannot get good professionals on the cape? I'm new here and even the news seems to be lacking. Every once and a while the CC Times comes up with something current, and there is hyannisnews.com and they sometimes have a completely different story, and then there's capecodtoday.com and they they have many opinions and pictures of a traffic accident. It is very interesting on level ignorance here locally. Here there is an argument about the use of the N word and whether a dark CV is "black". Let me tell you that in the city blacks use the N word on a minute to minute basis, not always racist, but at times ignorant of the culture. In the city whites also use the N word often in their white circles, sometimes immitating blacks watering down the term into a playful/sarcastic gesture, other times the inflection can also clearly be racist. But to restart a trial on the alleged use of the N word would never ever happen in a large city. Both blacks and whites would openly laugh at the trival attempt

i find this story so very repulsive! does anyone know if there is any more info about this rapist. i did a search and found some very similar info at hyannisnews.com , but i have yet to find anything new. the police in that area were irate over this and i think this is one of the biggest stories about what is wrong with the system in the last 20 years

Is there any news out here about the rape of the 6 year old in new bedford? i did a search and found a story at a site called hyannisnews.com , i couldn't find anything with the times, i'm new to cctoday
