Cru, let me guess there is some backstory to this involving CW,JF and the police and DA's office...
In response to: Few details after DA's press conference; Lightning safety rules
You seriously need to get a REAL life not all this "cut & paste" life you keep apouting.
Also, I wasn't threatening you, clearly you have no idea what a threat is just like you have no concept of freedom of speech, anyway let me use an example you might be able to grasp.
If you were a food critic and you continuously bashed all the restraunts up and down the cape. How could do you feel your service would be? Do you think the quality would be off?
All you have done with every news peice you read is bash all who wear blue, along with the DA's office. So what do you think the quality of you service would be if you needed the police?
Now do you understand what I am saying? Is it plain enough for you?
I would love to know what you would think of if the officer got run over that night and maybe a harmless couple in another car was also crashed into and seriously hurt? Hmmm???
By the way I am legal, its really not that hard.

His other choice, which you conviently forget every time you write ANYTHING. was to stand in the street and die. I think we all should all thank the almighty that Cru doesn't hold an "office", doesn't work in the criminal justice system, thanks should be given for that. The only power Cru has is the yap yap, which could launch the space shuttle and the overwhelming knowledge of NOTHING but puked back facts that Cru can't possibly understand.

The information is not just about the "25 year old father of two"... Are you actually reading the information or just blinded by the Brazilian part? He was pulled over by different officers it says that in EVERY article. Seriously learn something before you start spouting your bull%$#* redoric that you are infamous for.

CLean out your ears and get off your soap box before you get a nose bleed. Did anyone say anything about illegals? They said he didn't have a license. That doesn't mean he's illegal. Please don't tread in an area you don't know because I bet you aren't fresh from the boat and I bet you burn in the sun. Me, I am fresh off the boat, I tan but I am legal. You need to leave that topic alone and just focus on the shooting. The slurs and racist comments are heresay unless you were magically there.
In response to: Press Conference on Yarmouth Shooting
Gee. Cru you aren't too bitter. Whew!!! You need to wake up and realize maybe your"friend" might have done something, like try to run over a police officer with his car. That's a felony sweetheart. I hate to be the one to hip you but a car is a dangerous weapon. Try to strain your brain and see both sides of the story.

First, I am NOT swallowing anything. So back up with that. I am saying its plausable. In the pictures in the CCTimes you can see the tire marks. Since you have your jury experience under your belt, you do know how many people in takes to reconstruct any incident. So are you saying they are all lying? This is Yarmouth not Truro. SO now are you saying that every Cape Cod Police Dept. is corrupt? I am so hoping you or someone you care about never needs help on this island since you've slandered SO many. Just remember what they say about Karma....hate to be you.

Local, you also made a great point. I remember when Ted Bundy was first arrest a local politicain was on the news saying what a nice up coming young man he was, he had even babysat his kids. Where did Bundy end up? In the electric chair.
Now before, you all get in an uproar. I am not outright comparing Bundy to CM. I am saying that people close will say the most wonderful things, only see the positive.

its not hard at all for me to swallow he's guilty, have you been reading my posts? The elaborate drug trafficing, that's hard, I told you I've met some of these clowns (drug dealers) They are about as organized as a middle school kid sitting the back of the room using the excuse the dog ate my homework. Let me hip you..a hung jury is a mistrial. Its the first step then a judge declares a mistrial. I do know a juror and you are calling that person "disgusting and despicable". By watching the trial you know that, for sure.

The trial which I saw..could be crap. This alone doesn't make him innocent. I'm not insulting anyone. I can see both sides but as you've proven time and time again that you can't. You've screamed CM is innocent so loudly that I think he can hear you.
A crap trial does not an innocent man make.
I can site many crap trials that didn't mean the person was innocent.

The only thing you've said right. A woman is dead and a child will grow up without her mother. But a man is fighting for his life behind bars. Why? Because a woman is dead.
The "drug paradise" ? You need to be writting drama for t.v. maybe movies with that line.
I've worked in the criminal justice system, met some of the heavy hitters, they aren't exactly brain trusts. So your dramatic quips don't exactly hold water with me. People needs to wake up and not actually believe that CM is being held down by the man as you tell it.

Its Cedar Junction not a country club. Being shanked isn't uncommon. I have had several friends who have been guards there. There was a "lifer" who stabbed his cell mate and threw him off the 3rd tier because his notebook was moved. This is the element you are dealing with. All this rambling on about this great "mob war" are you kidding? What I see lots of people watching too many movies and too much tv. Please use your talent for good not ridiculous. This is Cape Cod. The dealers are very low level. We aren't talking the Bloods,Crips,Outlaws,MS 13 and ABZ from the big cities. Get a grip people.

But judges do more than just say "bad boy". Visit the juvie lock ups and see how overcrowed they are. Let me also iform you they are entering younger and younger. Its not uncommon to see an 11 year old showing up in full shackles and waist chains. The judges aren't as permissive as you are making them seem. They are doing their job. I will say that doesn't mean they all learn something by being locked up.
I also want to say for all those who think that juvie lock-up is like sleep away camp. What sleep away camp makes you strip down to your birthday suit in front of two staff that you just met 5 minuets before?
In response to: Fatal crash in Wellfleet; Route 132 crash; Hyannis drug bust; Arrests in Yarmouth MV B&Es
I bet most of you would say, NO.
I have worked with juvies and that can be an issue. I am not saying that if they have no job they should go out and rob people. But some do try to change and they can't even get a job sweeping up popcorn at the movies. The Cape is a small place bad reputations go far.
In response to: Are you a consigning woman?
On a side note, I love your blog and look forward to seeing where you are going next. Keep it up :-)
In response to: Forget the "quick fix" of incarcerating drug offenders
I do agree with treating an addict but if they have broken the law they still need to be held accountable.
I feel this way for a few reasons. When you deal with people that have addiction , you quickly realize that unless they are ready to clean up they won't. A true addict is that way. They don't care what they do, who they hurt and what gets taken away from them. They will say anything to please some. Many would go to treatment for their first drug offense rather than face jail time. That doesn't mean they really want treatment, it just means they don't want jail. If they don't really want it it won't work.
The argument if herion was legal tomorrow would you use it is old. Never been a strong one. There are many people who are constantly on the fence but the idea of jail or just an arrest screwing up their lives is just enough to keep them in check.
I do feel the drug laws are too high but I feel if treatment was included, a good mix.

Second, Section 8 housing is necessary. If it wasn't for that most of us would be tripping over people sleeping and living on the street on our way to work. Not all people who live in Section 8 are criminals, most are the working poor. They are trying to make it. Most are also home grown Cape Codders not from some where else.
Third, I have known through working in the criminal justice system 2 of the Cape's biggest drug dealers, one is locked up, one is still out there both born at Cape Cod Hospital.

I also saw about 1/2 dozen kids riding quickly and not paying any attention on major areas, route 134, with no helmets. Don't we have a helmet law for bikes in MA?

Would she have had kids with assitance available? Maybe ? Maybe not? You never know.
I still can't agree with you on the government creating a weak family. I know almost as many success stories about kids brought up on welfare as I do the opposite.
I also know has many with kids brought up in working class, middle and upper middle class homes, both positive and negative.
As I have said many times, its not that clear cut when you are talking about people. Its not as easy as comparing "thing" "objects" "product". Never as black and white and that can be frustrating.
I'll also say its not as easy as just taking the pill and working on your GPA either. Its just not that simple.

I wasn't talking about the CEO made for t.v. sterotype when I was talking about intact homes. Most of the immigrant familes are intact homes and let me tell you the work hard, 2 sometimes 3 jobs.
Now a days everyone goes into the DYS system those private "boot camps" are few and far between.
Main reason for kids on Cape Cod for getting locked up, drugs. Very profitable market. Most of those kids run the spectrum on level of income from their families.
One more piece of info. the Brewster facility is state involved so you get kids from ALL over. Gang kids from Lowell to kids from Western Mass not just Cape kids.

In response to: Will Cape DYS program to close at month's end
Your statement about a mature 18 yr old on birth control might get a scholarship...you obviously didn't have one because no matter what the circumstances are scholarship money does take work...always has..always will?
Raising a child also takes work, the government isn't just throwing money out the window at them. Do you have an idea on how much help they actually get? Not usually enough to live on. I know a single mom with a son who is getting 400 a month. That is all. That is for her rent, basic utilties, food..etc..
You are a mom so sit back and think about that for a minuet.

Yes, minorities overall have a higher percentage of being incarcarated. All minorites not just the black community. Since I myself am a minority, I don't fail to notice that there are people in crisis. You should remember the saying about "assume" before you post.

Please with your wealth of knowledge on the subject enlighten me?

You've never read any of the welfare reforms or you'd know they can only stay on for 2years and must be activly looking for a job, they also are no longer getting paid for more chldren in that time period.
Please, if you have no idea on what you are talking about just keep it shut.
You make yourself look like an elitist snob, who knows nothing about the world you live in. If that is the case let other's worry about the "juvies" and the "baby momma/daddies" and you worry about carpools and what ever else you and your narrow minded gaggle of friends do.

I believe that women are of equal EVERYTHING that men are, that is just a plain stupid question.
I am not making excuses for everyone but some women believe they can handle their lives and they can't. Some have it very good for the first few years maybe more then things don't work out the way it was planned. Some are doing everything right and kids still end up behind bars.
Just the fact that you are single and pregnant doesn't equal "DYS kid".
Not everything in life is SO black and white. Life isn't that simple. I am sorry you can't grasp that concept. I wish you could meet these kids and families maybe it would open that closed narrow mind of yours.

Please put some thought into your posts. You don't need to get to the "root" of the problem I have worked with these families for years and I can tell you there is not easy solution. Getting to the "root" of the prblem is more complicated than you can imagine.
Stick to what you know carpools and bake sales. Life isn't always sunshine and roses in everyone's life as it is in yours.

Did some big bad Cape Codder make you cry?
You are so full of hate and bitterness the stench must just ooze off of you..or is that the fumes from living in Summahville near the factories in Chelsea? You go 45 mins in traffic to soak up the sun...wow..I just go out my front door.
I also have a job with real benefits and all the bells and whistles..that really isn't an achievement. As for furthering your career, it will never happen , why you ask? The bitterness is just weighing you down, like an anchor to a boat!
Mean spirited snobs..hmmm...Do you have a full length mirror or a hand on to see that?
Now that you are from Summahville you probably need someone to explain that to you.

The gang activity and youth crime rate are much higher in Boston and the surrounding areas. In those areas there are youth groups EVERYWHERE so your argument they work is wrong. They work for some but not all.
The cape also does a VERY good job in detaining the youth that need it. Take a look at the 3 programs in Brewster, Barnstable County Jail, Teamworks in Plymouth...etc..
Just stop HATING on the cape..kids hang in malls everywhere and some are good and some aren't. Do you remember what it was like to be young at all?

I just love being at the beach reading a good book, sitting in the sun and having a cool drink and screaming children are running everywhere kicking up sand all over and the parents are engrossed in their conversation or keep saying "honey don't, stop running" and the child keeps doing it!!!! At least my dog is on a leash. You can't leash a child, do you think they should be banned from the beach???

My husband is a grown man and probably had experiences that you've onlyread about when you are alone and none of your country club mini-van soccer moms aren't looking. He's toured with rock bands as security and been a mixed martial arts fighter. When he started working with kids is when he slowed down. He will look just as good as anyone else looks with wrinkles as I will. Live for today and worry about the future when it comes. You miss alot of life if you worry about 15 years from now. WOW, you must have big frown/worry lines...don't do Botox that would be an enhancement..you know what that leads to.
I hope you stop judging before you hit nursing home age or you know where your headed.

I shouldn't have to defend him but he is a hardworking (40+ hrs) a week, never had anything more than a speeding ticket and moral man. He would NEVER even think of screwing around on me and looks down on men who do.

I have also been on the hiring end of things. I would hire an American teenager/college student. They couldn't work at this time or that, they'd call in sick when a nice beach day arose..etc..etc.. I'd hire a foreign worker and they couldn't work enough an I was usually one of two jobs.
Capemom, just STOP making such ridiculous statements when other people are trying to have a good conversation. Do you hear yourself??? Go back into your narrow-minded self-important box.
Margot, Your comments still ROCK!! Keep going and trying to educate people and have them see there are two sides to everything, its not all about being self-serving.

Many landlords are friends or relatives of friends so they are more relaxed on them all being jammed in one home. Plus they don't mind being all jumbled up, because they accept that is the way it is. Imagine an American "tween", they get upset if they don't have the fashionable cell phone or IPOD.
I have worked with many foreign seasonal workers from all over and its true, the American dollar goes twice as far at least in another country. Most of those workers think nothing of two jobs at a time and banging out a 16 hour day of hard work. Once again, how many Americans do that? How many do a 60 plus work week? I know some but its few and far between.
I hope that gives you a little insight.

NOT ALL People who come here (USA) actually have the money needed to come here legally....now do you understand. Please read slowly so you can absorb what I am saying.
I don't have an ATTITUDE about them coming in illegally, its just compassion. You never know people's stories on why they came here, you can't just assume its for terrorist actions or to committ illegal acts, some are hardworking people trying to survive.
Try for once to just open your mind.

I just got thorugh reading a Boston Globe article on the men charged in the FT Dix plot. None of them were illegal. Its even pointed out that one of them was not only a citizen but ran a business legally in the USA.
My opinion, you are just against anyone who wasn't born here...and that is just sad.
I think I read somewhere that this country was built by the sweat of immagrants.......
In response to: Illegal Aliens
Most "illegals" if they are convicted of certain offenses are shipped back to their country to serve time. Also most illegals actually keep a low profile so they are detected. So exactly were did your "stats" come from. I think you have no idea the difference between "illegal" and "resident alien".
Buzz, get out the airplane bag, have you done hiring. Ask around its proven fact that illegals and not just in Califoria so jobs that Americans turn their nose up at. Even right here on Cape Cod. Its amazing how many people cry the illegals are taking all the jobs but when asked if they would do the same one, its a big NO and I don't mean for $2 an hour either.

One thing schools I feel need to do is really stress the basics and then go from there.
I'm not seeing schools who are looking at establishing a strong foundation for kids to grow from.
Many school are so focused on the status of the new gym, new computer lab or the new paint job. If a child can reach almost the end of his school years and can't read that is an issue!!
Mon..I hope you where trying to make things light but YOUR mom being half Portuguese doesn't count. Also do you same Cape Cod I do there are plenty of kids here, which English is a second language...you don't need to go to Holyoke!!

Capemom..I'm not glossing over anything.
My mom grew up very poor, my dad just poor. That's where the cycle stopped. I know many people where that is the case. Just because you grew up poor doesn't mean your chidren will grow up to be poor.
Children who want to learn will despite crumbling plaster, limited computer access and other hurdles in your poorer school.
There was a time before all the "high tech" options where an option and it really wasn't that long ago. Children still managed to grow up and be successful.

With government involvement there are many communities that are schools that are poor and unstable. So what would be the difference.
Also not all POOR communities have "crack moms". Its amazing some have hardworking moms, despite being poor.
Poverty doesn't always go hand and hand with drug addiction.
WOW, for somone who says they don't mean to sound elitist..you hit the mark everytime.

Affluence doesn't equal success by definition.
Poor doesn't equal unsuccessful by definition.
You need to look at your "Leave it to Beaver Land/WASP" view of the world.
Another tip, poor people aren't all sitting around looking for a savior.
Some of them can work hard to bring themselves up.
"the great white hope" isn't always the answer.
In response to: Props to Nauset Regional High School
I have some examples for you to think about.
A girl who grew up in E. Boston, in a household with two parents who spent multiple turns in the prison system but went on to get a master's degree in marine biology.
Another girl grew up with a single mom, who worked a million hours but remained at poverty level in Dorchester and she grew up to get a master's degree in special education.
One more girl who grew up affluent but English is a second language and managed to find her way to graduate school and never felt "lost from birth"
A boy who has a two parent household in an affluent community and managed to drop out of school at 16 and use drugs regularly and end up in the juvenile system.
So tell me Capmom how does you theory work? There are more Deval Patrick's out there than you can imagine, open your eyes, please.
Lastly, for all to think on, Has anyone seen a copy of the MCAS test? Does anyone think taking it would have made a difference in their lives?
In response to: Props to Nauset Regional High School
I'm also taken back by some of the comments.
There are many people in which English is a second language and aren't "lost at birth" as a result. Many not only make it through high school but go as far as graduate school.
Being affluent is neither here nor there most of the time when it comes to school. If you do your research plenty of youths from both poor and affluent households make it and do very well.
Two parent households aren't always the key. There are plenty of two parent households that are a mess, they have kids who drop out or end up in the juvenile system.
If you have a strong teaching staff that can be the key. Kids can learn in almost any setting. They just need a strong motivator and that's what a great teacher is.

I've worked in plenty of service industry jobs that illegal&legal immigrants are working in because no else is willing to do the job.
I've seen Americans screaming "poor" and that there are no jobs.
I've also seen those same Americans "poo-poo" certain jobs that people who scrape and struggle to be in this country are more than happy to do the jobs.
You need to go after the employers because without anyone monitoring them closly they will fill certain jobs with anyone because the jobs need to be filled.
People are kidding themselves if they really thinking that Americans are having their jobs taken.
Look into the jobs immigrants are taking and ask yourself who you know that would take that job?

If you really know who I am than you'd have your facts straight, you are news-gal right?
Aaron, worked for DSS? Department of Social Services?
Maybe it might be a private company which is a vendor for DYS, Department of Youth Services??
News-gal, which I doubt is your name, unless your parents weren't very creative, you want to get into a battle of wits with me? I hope you brought some big back up.
First, Me a homophobe?? I don't think so my friend. When Aaron worked he was so far in the closet you could almost smell the cedar on his breath. Mr. Loud and Proud really wasn't. There was also an openly gay couple who everyone respected and above all liked. There were also two other gay men who worked there and both were open and also liked by all and appriciated for their work.
News-gal you are just not very news worthy are you? Your like the National Enquirer trying to pose as the NewYork Times....scary.
In response to: Patrick, Murray, Barros. Peake, Maloy win
Now, I won't even dignify you with any more of a response.
Well, one more... News gal get your facts straight.
In response to: Patrick, Murray, Barros. Peake, Maloy win
Aaron I didn't say you were a negative person. You are postive. You are positive that you are your biggest supporter.
Do you need me to spell it out for you? You are SELF-CENTERED!!!!
You've always been about you and only you.
You aren't concerned with anyone else.
You don't see them unless your checking on who your stepping on at the moment.
You say how you've dedicated yourself to human services but have those people who's lives you've touched come away with a positve experience?
It sickens me and many others how your saying you're for the people and about the people.
When deep inside you know that is just a farce.
And Mark..who asked for your opinion? What??? no one..that's what I thought.
In response to: Patrick, Murray, Barros. Peake, Maloy win
You are so far from being on target.
Its scary...
Now come into focus, buddy, come on in.
First, Aaron doesn't use an alias because he's running for public office. DUH!!!!
Second, I'm not a supporter of Sarah Peake's either. I'm someone who knows Aaron and I know what he's really about. My eyes aren't blinded by the glare of the "public Aaron" not the real Aaron Malloy.
Third, I'm as real as your going to get. Are you??
In response to: Patrick, Murray, Barros. Peake, Maloy win
Who are you trying to fool? All you know is how to lower yourself to vicious personal attacks. You really need to stop putting on this act that you are "for the people". The only "people" you are for is Aaron. The pictures, the ads, the waving at the rotary and your political catchphases aren't masking who you really are. I think some people need to open there eyes and see you for who you are. You aren't the poor orphan boy advocate for the people, that's for sure!!
In response to: Patrick, Murray, Barros. Peake, Maloy win
Very interesting handle, makes me wonder?
Who I am to you is of no impotance.
I have more meat than a Texas slaughterhouse to back up what I say.
I actually know Aaron.
I'm not just giving a point of view from newspaper articles, signs or internet web chatter.
Aaron isn't that I'm for the people poster boy that he is presenting himself as. Not at all!!!
Aaron is for Aaron.
That's the bottom line!!
In response to: Patrick, Murray, Barros. Peake, Maloy win
Aaron has skeleton's in his closet, that have yet to come out. I'm sure as we get closer to November they will.
Aaron being 24 doesn't mean that he hasn't made numerous enemies.
Have a conversation with him, one of his worst enemies is himself...and it will most certainly be his downfall.

Now everyone sing a long!!!
In response to: The Truth Will Set You Free
Let's all cross our fingers that there is a mistake?? This can't be true!!
I didn't get a letter from the "main office" to bring my ice skates.
All I can say is Aaron must be prancing in his pink and purple poka-dotted boxers. Now there's a picture no one can forget.

Look at what he's taken a stand on.
Let's shall we?
He's an OPENLY GAY MAN who is not in support of GAY MARRIAGE!!!
Another idea he had.....
He wanted to purge the cape of Sex Offenders....don't get me wrong that's a good thing in theory...BUT
His theory is to put them all together on an island...I'm not making this up
He said it publically.
To me that sounded like some twisted game of Survivor!!!
So Aaron might not be a question dodger..maybe he should be?
Aaron also does take a stand but more times than not he takes a stand like a man standing on the deck of the Titanic!

That's a great story about meeting your husband, definatly a testament to your beauty..Props..my girl :)

Aaron where are you? Are you here? Are you stuck in the closet again?
In response to: The Truth Will Set You Free
Pam I'm SO sorry that happened to someone you know but Aaron's whimpy side has gotten larger as he's aged. He might mess up the pretty face he thinks he has in a fight.
Once again... Aaron..where are you?? Cat got your tongue??? or something worse??
In response to: The Truth Will Set You Free
Smaller than a squirrel. Have you ever seen Mr. Maloy in person,he's not small. How do you know I don't have long beautiful nails as well? Let's not assume because you know what they say about that.

Second, wavemaker insted of being so concerned with my grammatical errors..why don't you just sit back and read what I wrote...you might be able to learn something?
Third..What about rehab?? Do you read more than the words on your morning cereal box? Its clear what the answer is. I'm just checking.
Fourth,(refer to above comments) Wave, you don't understand the "..noble person" sentence? Hablo' Englese'?
