"Find something else to do with your money like ideas on what to do with next years funds. Be a part of the solution, not the problem".
Hmm, like the new Community Center which they can't afford to furnish?
Perhaps a year round Fire Dept. so we don't have to pay lower cape ambulance hundreds of thousands of dollars a year to transport people to CCH. Maybe an oversight committee to keep the TPD in line. I could go on and on. Fact is the playgorund will be empty part of the fall and all of the winter...so really only available to the small amount of children here 6 months a year.
As I stated initially, they should have taken the money and used it to make the schools playground acessible to the kids and the parents could take turns supervising them. What a nice community project that would be.
In response to: Truro kids design their town playground
was acessible to the kids. In these volatile economic times, we do not need more excess. There are no jobs here, housing and the cost of living is skyrocketing and the Town of Truro gave $60,000 to help fund this project. What a waste!

What accomplishments?? Mayor of a tiny town where she brought her kids to work? Having an affair with her husband's business partner? Reduced funding for unwed mothers? Taking millions from pork bellied lobbyists? Being Governor for less than 2 yrs. and thinking that drilling in Alaska's oil fields will help our energy crisis? Her extreme lack of foreign policy experience? You think she's feisty, she's nothing but an inexperienced pro lifer who puts her agenda ahead of her family.

Gold's Deli, in Hyannis, is the closet I've found. The food is good, a bit pricey, but the portions are worth it.

"Are you saying that everyone else, like YOU, for example, are good and kind and compassionate and have gone "farther in life" than Crusader or I?" Not at all, that's Your interpretation. My point was that there is so much more to life, as my work as a Hospice Nurse has taught me, than when you and Cru tag team and blog back and forth to each other. Ever heard the phrase, "She/He doesn't suffer fools gladly"? That's me, I don't have any patience for mud slinging.

I am not the one who resorts to childish name calling, you need to take a long hard look in the mirror. I can be very sarcastic, it's my humor which does not often translate well in blogs.
But I digress, I'm also from Los Angeles, been in Truro for 6 years now. I really am a Nurse, and a damn good one too, specializing for the last 17 years in Hospice Care. I have attended more deaths than you'll see in your lifetime, helped people through the toughest times of their lives. It is a priviledge and an honor to share those precious moments. I work very hard for the money I make so when you and shelli "go off" on of your tirades berating bloggers it really irks me. Be kinder, it will get you farther in life.

I scooped you hours ago cc, it's old news now. But seeing as it is going to cost $5500 per vehicle for the town mechanic to scrape windows, I say we give every officer a scraper and tell 'em to go at it!

Also, per CCT, TPD has been ordered by the selectmen to remove all blacked out windows from their cruisers. Only their "undercover" car will be allowed to maintain their blacked out window status. The town mechanic will be scraping the blacked out windows off to the tune of $5500 per cruiser. I hope the TPD has money in their budget for this and that the taxpayers won't have to foot the bill.

Corruption, denial, cover ups etc are everywhere, big cities, small towns. Why on earth do you and your cru waste your time and energy complaining about the same things over and over again. Why not take half the time you spend on this blog and do something constructive and productive. Organize something, motivate people in the real world. People you accuse of being in denial are just trying to earn a living, feed their kids and keep their house. We have lived in a fear based economy for eight years now, you should recognize it already.

You took my original comments out of context and used them for your own agenda, which has nothing to do with what I was commenting on. But somehow you strung the 2 stories together because of what you find is commonality with the children. Again, something I was NOT commenting on. Children who are NOT parented is another story entirely.

And OJ Simpson was found Not Guilty.....Must have been the fact that they had so little evidence!
Not true and I lived in LA during the entire time. What OJ had was a Very high priced legal team and Judge Ito was an absolute idiot. But he's behind bars now, which is where he belongs.
