In response to: The Noble House rocks!
Okay now, I don't hate ALL Asian food. Thai? Yuck--you don't have to top everything with peanuts. And I am very fond of the Wonton soup over at Quans on 134 in Dennis--fresh veggies--yum.

Billy's right, I thought the food at the Noble House was great. Fresh veggies, good cuts of meat and the fried rice is wonderful. If you like steak, pay the extra $4 for the filet mignon--the sirloin is fine, but you'll really appreciate the difference. And the shrimp appetizer was soooo good and I don't even eat shrimp, just thought I'd try it and I'm glad I did.

I agree with capecod_mom, it's a little awkward with a smaller group--hard to have a conversation when you should be paying attention to knife guy. I'm sure it's a blast with a group--and a couple cocktails!

I know some college students who swear by the lunch specials--inexpensive and tasty I'm told.

As for that review in the daily, shame, shame. I hope more people read this instead. Sure it's campy, but it's kind of fun and the food is great.

In response to: Kudos to Cape Cod
Anonymous: that is an excellent point. We certainly do have plenty of people in need in our own backyard. Unfortunately, at times it seems to take a horrible event such as Katrina to mobilize folks. And yes, I think we have all seen the articles about Cape food pantries experiencing a drought when it comes to local donations, but I would hardly say the "cup runneth over" for victims of Katrina. Katrina has opened up a lot of discussion about poverty in this country in all areas. Hopefully we Cape Codders will begin to look closer to home and show that same generosity to our immediate neighbors in need.
