Let's get past all the foo-foo, and let's talk about the cover up by the Barnstable Police and ATF by confiscating all those weapons. Just wait until the Barnstable DA steps into this atrocious circle of lies and manipulation! I bet even the ATF is in on it, being in Law Enforcement and all.

At least this will take some of the heat off of the cover up and manipulation of the Yarmouth Police Officer that defended himself by shooting some poor, misunderstood member of society that merely aimed a 2200 pound car at him. What a farce!

Once again, you add your jaded views into a discussion like you know it to be the gospel. So, your feeling is that all of the Police, Fire, and EMS workers at that accident stood around, because they WANTED to stand out in the hot sun, they WANTED to have traffic rerouted and delayed...because it is something fun to do? I just don't understand your thought process. I wouldn't begin to think I know the first thing about working for the Postal Service, even though I could come up with plenty of anecdotal thoughts about it. But I still wouldn't begin to assume that, let's say, you use a mail sorter because you're lazy and just want to stand around and drink coffee.

In the same right, your assumption that they "just wanted something to do" is just as off-base.

I know the couple that were in the minivan, and I hope and pray for full recoveries of everyone involved. Even those of you that were stuck in traffic.

wahhmbulance: Next winter, call MedFlight to air-drop your mail while they're flying over to do an unnecessary transport.

When I'm working on the ambulance, I see things front only one point of view: What is going to be the best for my patient. Your point of view, Obabma's point of view, or Oprah's point of view take a backseat to my patient, and their outcome. I'm still waiting for your list of what justifies "necessary use of med flight". I look forward to reading it.

usps02651: How about you come up with the set of criteria that EMS workers may use for when they can and cannot call for Med-Flight. Then we'll compare it to the criteria that they already have to follow. I'll be waiting with baited breath for your list.

If you read the story, it says that she was driven by ambulance to CCH, and was then to be flown to Boston. So, blame those silly ER Doc's for the flashing lights and hoopla for this woman. Sorry if you've ever been inconvenienced because we EMS people feel that someone's illness or injury would be better treated by being flown to Boston. If you are ever unlucky enough to sustain that type of injury, pray that the EMS workers put your health ahead of your comments, and do what is best for you. Even if it inconveniences someone else.
