I just don't understand high speed chases- would seem to me that you can outrun the cruiser but you can't outrun the radio....

seeing the way alot of these boys (not just C&M) drive- hmmmm excessive speed probably isn't a factor-

Danny- I have to tell you, I know a couple of folks-I am not one of them however- they have done the steps and done AWOL. They don't seem worse for the wear and I haven't found that they preach the need for others to participate-- As for recovered in your article-I don't think we ever recover now do we? I like to think of it as being in remission- (Thanks Jack) I'll never be recovered if I were, then I could go out and drink again with no consequence right?

amazing that CC was able to build, based upon their current financial distress- yet, the old Filenes Home (old theater) remains empty, the furniture place by Panera's is empty- for rent signs abound oh yeah - and what's going to go where Linen's and Things is ?? Can someone explain the purpose of the Cape Cod Commission? Is it their purpose to let the building happen- but just limit the amount of square footage? Certainly, they must have originally had a valid purpose to exist?

the "emerald forest" was closed years ago for the very same reasons.....apparently something to do with the proximity to the highway...makes for easy in and out-..

oh Ned...that was bad - even for you... Honestly though, I can't imagine who in their right mind would allow their child to handle such a weapon...I am not against guns...but I gotta say- where is the common sense here people? If my son had been allowed to handle such a weapon at that age- Oh boy there would have been hell to pay- Oh wait a minute- his dad HAS COMMON SENSE and would NEVER allowed that!!! Unfortunately Christy, your 10 cent break doesn't work when you get anything but the "regular" gas.....IF the 10 cents made it less than the 132 Cumby's for the higher octanes, I'd get gas from you- AND a whoopie pie!! :)

I go by the 132 Cumby's in the morning and today on my way home after noontime, I went by the Cumbys on West Main across from that garden center with the rude help.....and the gas there was a 2.54 - 2 cents than the 132 Cumby's......as for the bottle bill-can someone explain why non carbonated has no deposit?? Kinda defeats the supposed purpose doesn't it? I mean a can of lemonade is just as unattractive on the side of the road as the can of cola was right??

finally! some news----

so has anyone taken a moment to talk to their children, grandchildren etc about the dangers of the tracks or the headphones with the music cranked?? Just curious- BTW I am really glad to hear that he's making progress- I wish him a speedy, full recovery

Ollady07 - on the Cape- and I have been here many many years- I know 3 people who got hit and survived- one walking on the tracks and 2 in cars...

So, no insight as to the cheaper prices up P-Town way this Summer?

Interestingly, this past Summer-taking the bike out for a ride up to P-Town from Barnstale area- can anyone- anyone at all explain why gas in P-Town- the furthest point on the Cape- was anywhere from .06 cents to .10 cents CHEAPER than Orleans, Brewster and work your way back.... I think we started seeing the prices drop around Wellfleet. To me, average Josie consumer, this doesn't make any sense whatsoever-so could someone please explain that one?

1st- Thank you to Christy and what his company has been able to do to help the economy on Cape Cod. I drive by the Cumberland station at 132/Bearses Way and then by the Bearses Way Christy's. Gas prices seem to run close, with sometimes Christy's being 2 or 3 cents more- HOWEVER using the coupon allowed me to buy the middle of the road at a lesser price than the lowest price gas up the street, and if I want to use high test it still ends up cheaper than high test up the street. Interestingly enough, Christys has been selling diesel @3.99 when the bigger stations were still 4.39, in fact the other places have only come down in the last 8 days-what gives there? I would say we're lucky to have a business owner on the Cape who IS willing NOT to scr%*w us. As for a politician/business owner being accessible- 20 years ago he was accessible as a boss too! A pleasure to have worked for-and it was a larger company but he knew his employess!!
