Firefox 2 is drastically better than Internet Explorer 7. To increase or decrease the text in Firefox, just hold CTRL and hit + or -

On a Mac, this would be the apple key and + or -

www.getfirefox.com

Historically, Internet Explorer has had major security holes, whereas Firefox has nearly none.

Also, Firefox does a better job at protecting your data and preventing identify theft. Firefox 2.0 has new anti-phishing features which warn you when your information could be stolen. Also, another new feature is inline spell-checking, which checks your spelling as you type on web pages (such as commenting on Cape Cod Today). And, yes, RSS support has been in Firefox for over 2 years.

RE: WHERE is the increased danger?

The increased danger is that people will tend to drive faster as they do not have to slow down for a rotary.

People have a tendency drive fast if there's a straight-shot. That's why there are speed bumps and islands.

In response to: Cape Wind Voters Guide
I agree. Voting on this issue alone is irresponsible, and suggestions like flipping a coin are ridiculous. Boston.com has a pretty good breakdown on their site of all the candidates. http://www.boston.com/news/local/politics/candidates/

I agree. The narrow lanes are going to be more dangerous now that it is a flyover. I think you should volunteer to put those median strips up there :)

I agree with the above comments BUT instead I think Will looks like a cross between Mr. Belvedere and Fester (The Addams Family).

In response to: Just a little sand
I also washed/waxed/claned my car this weekend and vacuumed up all the summer sand... I do not really understand why people have such a negative reaction to finding sand in their car, mostly due to the positive reflection you described.

I ended up going to Covell's/Craigville on Columbus Day just to walk around. It was 70 degrees out, very windy, and a half-dozen people were actually swimming! A few were tanning.

I would refuse to talk to anyone who used all those abbreviations!

I think the most common ones are:
LOL, WTF, BRB, BBL (be back later), TTYL, TTFN, ROFL, ROFL, LMAO, ROFLMAO, RTFA (article), RTFM, BTW, AFK, GTG, IMO, and IMHO.

In response to: Island hopping to Boston
Great story...

It is really kind of funny that everyone I know my age has a push-pull relationship (liked the tides) with the Cape and Islands. After growing up in Barnstable, I wanted off (and I got my wish in college). Now, I find myself going back and looking around more... going to towns I didn't spend much time in.

The abrupt ending is also pretty interesting, because summer days continue into mid-September. Yet Cape League baseball is over by the 2nd week of August, and everyone is gone after Labor Day. It is those several warm days in September that provide a bittersweet ending to a Cape Codder's summer.
