The narrow minds continue to show, the latest MC. Look at the big picture:
High cost of electricity:
Hurricane target, there goes the enviironment.
So obvious why she's saying this...80% of Massachusetts is for it tragicly, again not seeing the big picture...
11/16/09 @ 10:44 am
CNBC another narrow mind steps up to the plate. It's not NIMBA, it's the potential dissaster a hurricane will make of the Sound, higher electric rates.
Two many narrow minded "experts" that continue not to see the whole picture.

Will you please stop with climate change as caused by man, that has run it's course. All the wise men who profess to be 'experts' on climate, fail to recognize the Earth's natural processes that have been happening since the Earth began. Look it up, it's all out there.......

The environment should get first and foremost consideration, not special interest groups. They'll make their profit and run.
It angers me that no one is seeing the potential environmental damage when a hurricane sweeps thru the area knocking everything in it's path into the sea...hurricanes do this. Who cleans this up tax payers?
Put the windmills on land what could be more obvious.

Give it up you believers in junk science. When will you learn that man has nothing to do with Earth Warming. It's a natural, never ending cycle of Earth's condition. Please stop the nonsence of trying to control Earth warming.
Your stupid bills mean nothing in this regard. They're just going to raise taxes, not a good idea ever....

Of course the dems are for the wind farm, that's where the votes are. To hell with the environment. What's important to that selfish bunch of miss informed, naive turkies is getting the lucrative job of Senator so's they can feed at the tax trough for many years, disgusting group.

A real environmentalist would see the big picture here. One hurricane and the damage to the environment will be diabolical.
Obviously self interest is what we see here, with no long term consideration to the environment.
I'm an environmentalist and I see no benefit to this wind farm.
The Earth warming subject has run it's course, thinking people realise it's NOT caused by man.

With some 85% of Massachusetts residents for this great boondogle, one must adjust their position on this wind farm if they stand a chance of being elected to public office.
It saddens me greatly that so many naive people seem to envision an "Alice in Wonderland" world with this wind farm.
There are so many good reasons why this installation would be a disaster from the start. A few are::
* Inconsistant power availability
* Hurricane vunerablity..1938
* High cost of power
* No effect on Earth warming
* Please go to...Heartland Insitute.org
for Earth warming facts......

In response to: 1938: The 'wind that shook the world' kills 700
You can tell right away who the misinformed are when it comes to a Wind Farm in Nantucket Sound.
Wind mill towers punched down into the glacial till of Nantucket Sound wouldn't stand a chance of surviving hurricane winds. Look up the destruction Katrina caused in the Gulf of Mexico. Over 100 oil drill platforms blown over. These towers reportedly designed for such winds.
Cape Wind might be comming but it will be going in the first hurricane, mark my words.

09/09/09 @ 12:08 pm
Look closely at the destruction hurricanes leave along our coastline.
Do you still think a wind farm is a good idea?
I tnink not. The proposed wind farm would provide minimum benefit power wise, but be in a position to cause maximun devastation environmentally after a hurricane tears through. Wind mills down, transformer platform sunk, oil contamination along the shore from Nantucket Sound to Boston. 130 wind mills over, remember these wind mills are punched into glacial till, a very unstable medium to build on. Keep my wind mills on land thank you......

In response to: How can anyone still question Global Warming
Once again we see the naive in action. It is very easy to understand Global Warming, the present cycle commenced 15,000 years ago. Ice melted, seas rose, locally seen as a 450 foot rise, at the off shore banks. They were praries 15,000 years ago. None of this melting is caused by man. I find it very arrogant for man to think he can adjust a natural cycle of the Earth.....this is God's purview, don't think you can improve on it.....

In response to: Incongruity lost on editors but not on readers
How many times do you have to be told that the Earth has been warming up for the past 15,000 years.
Prior the glacier melting the ocean level was 450 feet below todays level.
This warming is a normal part of on going cycles here on Earth since it's begining. Earth's history has shown these cycles vary over time. Some indications show we are in for a cooling period.
None of these cycles are caused by man or influenced the slightest bit.
Wind mills will not have any effect on these cycles. This is God's purview.
Please think for yourselves, stop being so naive, get the facts

Wind mills in Nantucket Sound benefits Cape wind, no one else. We're told to think that it will slow Earth warming(a natural process, part of Earth's evolution over the eons and NOT caused by man), are there really some of you who believe this? Nuclear energy is the answer to getting away from fossil fuel. All other kinds of alternate energy, including wind, will never solve the demand for power.
