To suggest that a generating facility such as CAPE WIND...
That -does not- use FOSSIL FUELS to generate electrcity...
Thereby REDUCING the amount of FOSSIL FUELS that would normally be used -IF- CAPE WIND not generating FOSSIL FREE electricity...
Does not inherently REDUCE the amount of pollutants that -would be- pumped into the atmosphere by a FOSSIL FUELED plant...
And thereby REDUCING the POLLUTANTS -in-the atmosphere...
Thereby, having a direct effect - AS NOMINAL AS IT IS FOR ~ONE~ WIND FARM.
Hopefully, soon there will be many other wind farms up and down the coastline which will certainly have more and more of an effect in AFFECTING CLIMATE CHANGE in a positive manner.
P.s. There is no "director of Cape Wind"...

- A significant reduction in the amount of polluted air we breathe.
- A significant reduction in the amount of MERCURY and other poisonous pollutants that end up in the WATERS we drink, recreate and fish in.
- A significant reduction in the pollutants that end up in the food chain that we and our families injest.
- A FOSSIL FREE energy plant that does not contribute to CLIMATE CHANGE.
- A FOSSIL FREE energy plant that will LESSEN our dependence on foreign countries.
- A FOSSIL FREE energy plant that will not RISK THE LIVES of our Service men & women: Family members & friends.
- A proven increase amount of marine life which will benefit both commercial and recreational fishermen.
- A proven increase in the tourist industry from citizens who want to see the first off-shore wind farm in the USA.

The Times & the D'alliance are on the 'same page'...
Remember: Times publisher Peter Meyer lives on Wianno Ave in Osterville; and he, along with the cabal would prefer to DENY us the opportunity for cleaner air, water, food & employment opportunities.
Mr. Meyer has not shown the courage to date, in his trusted position to demonstrate the integrity & honesty one would expect from the paper...

"Electric rates in West Texas decrease" (yeah, go down)
Prices down, production is up ... What's next?
Saturday, February 28, 2009
Electric rates available to West Texans are less expensive, on average, than they were two years ago.
In addition, residential rates offered in Abilene and San Angelo are among the lowest in the deregulated parts of Texas -- in contrast to two years ago when West Central Texans were paying some of the highest rates in the state.
Energy experts point to several factors that may have caused prices in this region to drop faster than they have elsewhere:
• Increased wind energy production.
• Competition between electric providers.
• The lack of an advanced meter program, for which customers in other parts of the state pay a surcharge.

To (once again) try to have the EFSB consider what is at the (supply) end of the cables that the EFSB -HAS- definitive juristicion over.
Wodlinger, per usual of D'alliance S.O.P. (We all know CCC & the cabal are 'brothers in arms' against CAPE WIND) arrogantly argued with the hearing officer until she put her foot down & said 'enough' already she was NOT going to allow it and as a matter of fact that very same matter was decided at the prior hearing...
Anyone there knew she was *issed (with a capitol 'P')... And rightfully so.
These clowns really do think they are going to come in & run roughshod over the review, legal & regulations...

There is a very basic reason why you and you cabal are not respected or considered credible by:
- The Army Corps of Engineers
- The Massachusetts Audubon Society
- The Office of the Governor of MA
- Any credible Environmental organization in existence...
- The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Affairs
- The United States Department of Minerals Management
- The United States Coast Guard
The reason is: (Remember 'Wayne's World'?...)
You... "ARE-NOT-WORTHY". (Period)
You, and the D'alliance to 'PROTECT THE VIEW OF A FEW'... Have shamed yourselves by the manner and the message you have deceitfully proffered the public.
Propaganda containng: Misrepresentation, Fear-mongering, and outright: LIES.
Apologize, close the doors of your repugnant organization, apologize again, and in time... Most will forgive and forget.
Go home to Southboro. And stay there.
CAPE WIND... Is -finally- going to be:
-BUILT-
In response to: Cape Wind gets unanimous approval for composite certificate
And she revels in the fact that the project isn't built ~yet~.
Yet... The cost of our electricity has increased by at least 80% over the last few years...
Not due to CAPE WIND at all.
And with CAPE WIND we have had the chance if permitted over 5 years ago...
To LOCK IN a guranteed electric rate for 5/10/15 or maybe more.
Meanwhile during the delays caused by the cabal...
The cost of the materials & labor for building the wind farm have escalated enormously...
And who will bear the brunt of the added costs and not benefit by cheaper electricity in the long run?
One guess.
Thanks to Barbara & the D'alliance's COAL & OIL backed benefactors from Oyster Harbors etc!
In response to: Cape Wind gets unanimous approval for composite certificate
I was ~almost~ embarressed for the opponents attorney when testifying before the Energy Facilities Siting Board (EFSB) on Thursday...
He tried to submit "evidence" that CAPE WIND's electricity would cost more based on their "facts".
To no surprise it was -not- allowed to be read or submitted as part of the recorded testimony... Sparking (sic) the cabals defense's ire to further his shame by arguing with the presiding officer.
These people are actually convinced that intelligent & educated professionals will swallow their chum for the offal it is.
Then he went on to say that because the undersea cables within the three mile limit under the juristiction of the EFSB...
Were connected to the wind farm... The 'adverse effects' of the it should be all part of the review/approval from EFSB.
Gee, the wires to my house are connected to the same ones that come from Miriant & Brayton Point...
I can't wait to try that line out when those plants come up for review.
It was a slam dunk for CAPE WIND.

The millionaire & billionaire COAL & OIL magnates of Oysterville's Oyster Habors, along with similar selfish & self-centered ilk who have a total disregard for the year round air & water quality the rest of us endure.
Unfortunately, they have poisoned the minds of the uninformed & gullible with the offal propaganda of the affluent effluent.
Thankfully, the entire permitting process will soon be completed with the project APPROVED...

What you got to say Capt.?
We can't hear you!
P.s. Mav, most of us like or appreciate your P.O.V...
In the case of CAPE WIND...
You & tha cabal are without any wind in your sails 'tall.
The 'Dark Side' is not one where you want to me mate...
Shame & disgust at best...
Let's talk.
When do we meet?
In response to: Salazar pushes for wind energy and Cape Wind
Note the front page in the Times today... Didn't think they had it in them ;~)
In response to: Salazar pushes for wind energy and Cape Wind
Is it any wonder our fishing stocks are so depleted?
Give Nantucket Sound a chance to survive environmentaly for a change...
Less pollution, less spawning fish kill etc. and not much doubt, the industry will benefit in a large way...
Then again, it may be Capt. Jack & the charter crowd who benefits more...
All the better...
More than enough will survive & head offshore to be caught by 'sustainable' means.
The shrill cacophoney of the nonsensical opponents will be silenced none too soon.
In response to: Salazar pushes for wind energy and Cape Wind
Outrageous... Hypocrites to the N'th degree.
Sadly, I think originally S.N. was taken in by the paycheck - in need.
Honorably, she has bailed from that doomed S.O.F.'s...
Now with what?... The 'Fishermans Partnership' - Issues with the wind farm but at least their's are based on a belief (however not in fact), while the cabals are so...
Nauseatingly disengenuous.
In response to: Salazar pushes for wind energy and Cape Wind
Ah yeah... I clicked on your 'Nantucket Soundkeepers' tab...
So, ummmmmm... What happened to your designation?
Could it be...
The (sham of the) D'alliance really doesn't fit the...
'Criteria'???
In response to: Salazar pushes for wind energy and Cape Wind
't has been scientifically vetted again & again by many govt. agencies.
Problem has been, up to recently...
The D'alliance has 'got to' the pols.
Times have changed for the good & it is "out with the bad & in with the good"...
Soon you will find many more pols lining up behind the project taking credit for their 'support' all along.
P.s Susan Nickerson came to her senses & abandoned ship...
Anyone want to place bets who's the next to go over @ the D'alliance?:
Whatley or Audra?
P.p.s. Wonder what happened to the cabals 'Nantucket Soundkeeper' designation?...
Bring it up on their site and this is what you get:
"We're sorry - the page or function you tried to access could not be found on our web site. We would appreciate it if you could take a moment to email us at MemberCenter@saveoursound.org, including details of how you arrived at this page, so that we can correct the problem."
Ha!... The "details" I can't wait to read about... The 'plug' was finally pulled on this group of miscreants.
The ship of fools is sinking.
In response to: Salazar pushes for wind energy and Cape Wind
...Ken Salazar's on the way!
Now, let's get some steel in the sandy bottom of Nantucket Sound with turbines on top...
Go CAPE WIND!
In response to: CPN Clean Power Now Once Again calls upon Senator Kerry to fulfill his promises
Most know, and acknowledge that the project is finally going to be built despite the underhanded & misguided efforts of the opponents.
That said, I look forward with to tangling with you one of these days on one of your charters for a bit of fun...
Once this economy is at least showing some signs of improving that is. In the meantime, I hope bookings for you as spring aproaches will indicate same.
Monpo...
Not only would you "be upset"...
You might also proffer: ~plucked~...
But good! ;>)
Buzzy... Holy EV1!... There is more material on the vehicle than I care to read. Have printed out about a hundred pages & will digest soon & offer further opinion for your honored consideration.
In response to: CPN Clean Power Now Once Again calls upon Senator Kerry to fulfill his promises
That's a good one capt!
But don'cha worry mate...
There's a wind farm coming to a sound near you & me sooner than you might think.
P.s. Told you b4 I only get $.15/word... You know Wally is real tight when it comes to $.
That barely paid the light bill!
You may have noticed... (maybe not) Have not been on of late (my choice this time:)...
Works been -real- slow for this sparky this winter. Been banging on doors...
Looking for jobs like so many others.
Buzz... You may have me to some degree. I am going on memory from the flick...
Will do some checking myself as I am wondering:
- Why did GM -only- 'lease" the EV1's?
- Possibly to conform w/CA standards but their intent was to have the product ~fail~?
- You mention -only- 800 units... How many were produced/avaiable?
- Why was it that despite overwhelming requests on the part of those who had the vehicle... When the lease was up - Why -not- sell them to those who wanted them?
According to the documentary.
In response to: CPN Clean Power Now Once Again calls upon Senator Kerry to fulfill his promises
Ck yur facts...
The autos you mention were leased & were a BIG hit...
Once the leases were up GM took em all back w/ -no- chance for anyone to purchase. Upset all who had one because they were great vehicles & they loved thme.
As said... GM took em all back & crushed them ALL.
Get the documentary... We do & it is GREAT - But it does leave you shaking your head.
In response to: CPN Clean Power Now Once Again calls upon Senator Kerry to fulfill his promises
Why... I never got that kind of consideration!...
Just the big ol' ~boot~ whenever I wus bad...
And a vitriolic note to TOWMBO that always landed me in the cold wet & smelly dog house. :~(
In response to: CPN Clean Power Now Once Again calls upon Senator Kerry to fulfill his promises
In response to: CPN Clean Power Now Once Again calls upon Senator Kerry to fulfill his promises
Or not have an opinion...
Seemed to me you were blowing a bit of 'blue smoke' and it was unbecoming.
BTW: Take what you read & hear from Durkin. She is an obvious shill for Richard Egan...
Billionaire of EMC data storage technology fame & Oyster Harbors waterfront home owner & part-time resident. He started the D'alliance with a bunch of the same ilk...
With one goal only:
To 'save' -Their- VIEW.
They live in the neighboring towns of Northboro & Southboro off season.
They could care less how polluted the air, water & land is from burning fossil fuels like COAL & OIL to generate our electricity...
CAPE WIND... Is the single most important & significant environmentally positive opportunity for us since the National Seashore.
It should be built & built soon.
In response to: CPN Clean Power Now Once Again calls upon Senator Kerry to fulfill his promises
Please consider leaving the topic of CAPE WIND & Jim Gordon to others that are informed about both. Really obvious you are not.
Stick with other subject matter you DO know about - K?
BTW...
It was GM 'Who killed the electric car?'... Not positive but think that was the name of the (highly recomended) documentary.
Be good.

How can you not...
Love tha rack on Coulter...
Damn!...
In response to: Ecstasy Lab Bust on Nantucket; DEA disposes of lab materials
In response to: Dollars for Deceit and Disaster
Try... The D'alliance has -shamefully- spent close if not more than $30,000,000.00 (That's thirty million) in trying to fight the project.
And...
Have caused our local, state & federal govenments to spend MILLIONS of TAX-PAYERS money to support and defend against positions on either side...
The Feds & State reviewing agencies support the project as well as -ALL- respected enviornmental organizations as well as the respected scientific community.
It is disgusting & shamefull what this group of affluent effluent backed miscreants are trying to do to stall & impact each & every favorable review.
And now, they are wasting even more TAX-PAYER money in attempting to sue CZM for finding: "all aspects of the project, including those project elements located in federal waters, and the project's effects on resources and uses in the Masachusetts coastal zone" consistant with "the CZM enforceable program policies"...
Jokes on them... They have -no- standing!
Fools and their money...
Are blowing ours too.
In response to: Alliance sues CZM, seeks to stop Cape Wind from moving forward
possee... Isn't that deduction eliminated / adjusted -only- for the super rich?
Please clarify.

In response to: Coast Guardsmen are Valentines for Island Seniors
You honor your duty to the good citizens of ACK & your country.
In response to: Put Wind Turbines on the Oil Rigs
Huh?... Looks like it -is- mounted on a pole on a platform that has 4 legs...
That is "cheaper" to build than -1- monopile?
I can only imagine the pretty picture images the cabal would put in print if CAPE WIND had proposed 130 such 4 legged structures in ACK Sound.
Fact is...
-Any- 'Deep Water' wind turbine is going to be incredibly expensive to build, whether is be a platform styled or a counter balanced monopile.
Add to those costs will be the also -floating- Electric Service Platform (ESP) which will have a whole lot of um... Cooling oil for the transformers.
Wondering what would happen if one of the anchors broke free in a cat 4 hurricane? To me a fixed platform in ACK Sound might have more integrity.
Add to the expense of DW is the huge cost of the High Voltage long distance cables running to shore.
Somehow I don't see DW as less expensive.

MA Audubon, after scientific study & analysis, has concluded a differing opinion than originally offered.
You and your cabal have your own ~unscientific~ offering as to "avian mortality~ with NO studies conducted -AT ALL- at the proposed site.
Furthermore...
The D'alliance has -NO- standing -or- credibility what-so-ever with -ANY- government reviewing agency, respected govenment official or for that fact... -ANY- respected enviormental organization.
Therefore...
"Your conjectures and statements... about wind farms and bird collisions are unfortunately incorrect."
And of course, without merit.
