I vote Republican 9 times out of 10, but I don't ignore the broad consensus of the scientific community regarding climate change. I must say, reading some of those posts was painful. There is a direct relationship between ocean surface temperatures and the intensity of storms. Furthermore, sea level rise is an inevitable product of rising global temperatures. Sea level and the intensity of storms are two of the fundamental variables in coastal erosion. I think this was a fine opportunity to show the public what will become increasingly common in the future.
