My hat, as usual is off to you Peter, and Walter, and CWN of course :) Count me in as one who would still be a very happy reader with even a 1:1 ratio of excellent reporting and self-congratulations such as this article. If there is any justice in the world, someone will immortalize some of the long overdue words and truth in the above article. Regardless though, the happening is right on the mark and the old media is crumbling in all the right places where us readers will no longer support it.

I look forward to the writings about video games. I dunno about his whole Mac thing but Zork, Miner 2049'er and a few others were ported back in the day so there might be some amusement and nostalgia there. Right now my Apple IIc is sitting in front of me on a shelf with the monitor pointed down, looking rather dejected. Serves it right.

I TiVo'ed Peter on NECN last night. He was very professional and well spoken. I am impressed with the quality of his investigiation and the integrity of how he has been reporting his findings all along.

If Vietnam fell without a fight it would have hurt us bad. Communism is STILL as perilous to our way of life as it was during the Vietnam era. We fought hard enough to show the communists that Capitalists do not go down without a fight... well the Democrats and the French do but they favor the commies anyway while reaping the benefits of operating within a Capitalist society.

I am old enough (barely) to remember that "scientists" were telling us that a mini ice age was upon us and getting worse. I remember those same voices telling us that AIDS was going to explode onto the heterosexual population. I remember SARS and I am still hearing all about the Bird Flu.
Condoms and face masks are peanuts compared to the business that is affected by a mass brainwashing of so-called Global Warming.
I only hope most people are smart enough to realize the dinks who are leading the charge are the same old characters who have been losers on everything they tried to lay their mitts on for decades now.

That "tens of thousands" was from an early AP article written and distributed BEFORE the protest even started to gather that morning.
Most later AP articles changed the term to "thousands". Some outlets ran with the old article because it fit their personal wishes.
Check the methodology of the AP on how they came upon the figure "tens of thousands". I think you will be surprised.

In response to: Fear-Mongerer in Chief
The writer of this blog used the term "fear mongering". The only fear I have *ever* seen displayed is by one chick who duct taped her house back in 2003 and died from it.
http://www.snopes.com/rumors/ducttape.asp
Us Americans have been flying around the globe and buying oil in record numbers. I don't think fear is a concern except in the mind of left-wing naysayers who have nothing to win elections with.
Global warming, Bush, AIDS or the Bird Flu didn't bring down the Twin Towers.
Who is fear-mongering?

And Pearl Harbor had nothing to do with Germany... but we still fought the Germans in WWII.
I am sure there were Nazi sympathizers in the US back then who cried their little eyes out that we weren't going after Japan hard enough. Al-Qaeda sympathizers nowadays are real mad that we are in Iraq.

I worked with that Arthur Miller at Americounsel.com. It got old having to say "No, the *other* Arthur Miller.. Miller's Court? Channel Five?".
I possess the masters of some Americounsel.com commercials where Arthur cracks lawyer jokes to the rimshots of a studio drummer. "What do you call 1000 lawyers at the bottom of the ocean?".
Good times.

In response to: Joe Lieberman-The Meaning behind the Politics
The same thing that is accomplished when you knock out the biggest bully in the crowd. The other lesser, wannabe bullies are now only left with the option of crying their eyes out for sympathy from the leftists of the world.
When Saddam invaded Kuwait, he let his true colors show. When we invaded Iraq, we let *our* true colors show. We had 74 nations behind us when we invaded Iraq. 31 of them went in with us. Saddam had ZERO nations behind him when he invaded Kuwait.
That and the 14 military bases we now have in Iraq are a great head start for the eventual war we are going to have in the Middle-east. If you have not noticed, the leaders of Iraq dig us somewhat and those bases of ours are there FOREVER.
Perhaps you thought that Carter and Clinton had the right idea of ignoring the festering problem?

Homes is an abbreviation of homeslice or homeboy. There is no L. The L was put there by people who projected their knowledge of Sherlock Holmes onto a term foreign to them. Have you ever heard of "Holmey the Clown" or a "Holmboy"?
I though not.
An urban youth would shun a silent L when scribbling rap lyrics or perhaps graffiti. Trust me.

In response to: Cap Weinberger-A Final Gift
I disagree.
WWII was a war fought for world domination. This war is no different as far as I can tell.
On the surface, it seems like a small stakes war. If you follow the money and the propaganda, this war reaches pretty far into what is in reality a global conflict. The stakes are truly high. GW Bush is not as stupid as the lefties paint him... and they know it. (Well the sheep don't know it).

It's homes, homey.... unless you were inferring that RK is second fiddle to Sherlock :)
Excellent post, RK. This is why I read these blogs. I love when people speak their mind and use their own words and thoughts. I have not seen any chatter on this so-called hate speech topic come down the pike lately. Most leftist posts are like directives that trickle down in predictable fashion all with the same quotes, links, and buzzwords. This is so refreshing. Thanks.

Hellooo, McFly!! :)
I am not being funny or anything, but I clearly remember Christmas Eve of 1985 when I was sweating my family jewels off in my leather pants outdoors (as was the style in them days). I also remember my heating bills for the last seven years and all but one blew dog. 2001 wasn't so bad but I swore we were heading for a dang Ice Age with all the rest. I have never had such bad winters in my short life.
Good post though. I liked it.

At the very least, invest in a dictionary and look up the word "practible".
