They should leave it just like it is... hire Roy Scheider... and make a tourist trap that resembles the very final scenes from the film "Jaws," where he climbs up on the pole and shoots the shark.

Heck... we already have the great white sharks!! I mean, is God f*cking telling us to do this, or what?

OK.. Scheider's dead... but I bet Richard Dreyfuss works cheap, and it'd be funny to see him arguing with tourists about "They were originally going to have ME shoot the shark in the movie, but Speilberg is anti-Semetic."

We (the USA) should use all our creative and technical power to stage a Second Coming of some dude named Mohammad Yahweh Jesus, who looks just like Buddha.

Once we find someone like that, we just have MYJ issue Commandments now and then, designed specifically to curtail whatever sort of activity that we wish to discourage.

I'd volunteer to be MYJ, but I'm, like, dead and everything. My family would like to recommend martial arts film star Sammo Hung for the big role.

I bought the Colonel some Buzzards bay Lager... cool bottle, bitter taste.

The actual REAL reason they shut down was that the village of Buzzards Bay was about to coyright the name, and were going to get a nickel of every dollar those Westport shysters made.

It's sort of like what Kentucky did, which is why you had to go to KFC instead of Kentucky Fried Chicken until they voted out some people.

Everything Morris said about Obama is on the mark. He's not a US citizen, he will take away you right to get medical treatment if you are over 70 and thus a risk.
He warned us that the president says he will cut health-care spending, by adding $1 trillion to health-care spending.
Morris reminded us that Obama will replace the most “expensive care” with the “best care” by empowering government bureaucrats who have never met you to substitute their judgment for that of your doctor.
The president will “get the politics out of health care” by putting it under government control.
07/09/09 @ 7:54 am
Baker is a nonentity who surfaced briefly in s state government where he served as Secretary of Administration and Finance and Secretary of Health and Human Services under Governors Bill Weld and Paul Cellucci where got a taste of the limelight, then joined the barbarians and raped our health system long enough to be rich enough to buy his way to the governor's mansion.
A people get the government they deserve, so that mean we deserve today's Beacon Hill bandits and Baker.

Stunning Steve knows all about this stuff, actually. If someone in Sandwich or Mashpee is paying $3.79 or so when they can be paying $3.29, that's like, ummm, 50 cents a gallon. 25 gallon tank on some trucks, that's like 12 bucks savings per tank. Subtract the 6 dollars it takes in fuel to cross the bridge, and you're still like 6 dogs ahead. Multiply times 52 weeks, and that's 300 and change... and even a Senator from a rich family can't sneeze at $300 a year savings.

Or maybe there aren't... or maybe I don't know how to Photoshop that well. A good investigator could probably refute it... but that'll be well after it's on the front page.

When they find you innocent, it's always on page 16 or something. Trust me, son... I've been there.

Sometimes, a man needs to stop halfway home for a quick Scotch or ten. You can understand how a man in my position likes to have the bridges out of the way before I get into the tonsil polish... especially a big one like the mighty Bourne.

Yes, he's a fine little felllow.

To be honest... I've met Hillary a few times, and she fails to respond to that legendary Kennedy charm. She showed no desire to feel The Senior Senator's scotch-and-soda electricity.

We all know what that means... and the White House can't afford another deviant Clinton running around... especially after 8 years of that evil little monkey we have in office now.

Barack is the man. It's about time we had a black President, and he should be able to whip that Romney punk easily enough.

Hell... Mitzy ran against me back in the day, and I polished his bigamist ass off like a double vodka and cranberry.... and I've killed a woman.

Obama hasn't killed anyone, he has a pretty good handle on the basketball court, and he doesn't seem to scare elderly white southerners that much. We're not running Malcolm X here....

If he fouls up this campaign, I might jump in and save the Democrats in 2012.... I'd straighten those Muz right out, and any windfarms you build will be torn down to make way for 750,000,000 ml Ted Kennedy statues.

Stacey can go out in public, Stacey can watch baseball, and Stacey can consume alcohol (she's French...they have it with like lunch and stuff there). What Stacey can't do is consume alcohol while watching baseball in public.

Audree is much stronger than Stacey is, and no doubt feels that the physical restraint she exerted during similar circumstances at Smith still holds weight... and even in text message form, she most likely feels as if she can control her if things fall apart in the 7th inning or so.

In response to: Boom Batter, My Pocket's Getting Fatter
The Celtics are good-not-great, but they could actually run the table if they catch a few breaks at the right moment.

By "breaks," I mean "Tim Duncan breaks his leg right before we see the Spurs in the NBA Finals."

Still... that's better than most years recently.

I'm rooting for the Bruins to goon it up, as I prefer my hockey games to be swirling brawls.

The Sox get closer to the Yankers every day, and I just may have to kill someone if it's like .5 games in late September.

The Patriots look pretty goddamned good right now, especially when you consider how much ass the rest of the decision sucks right now. We should beat the Jets, the Fish, and the Bills like they were mouthy stepchildren.

There are no guarantees in life. The best we can hope for is that the descent will be amusing. We currently have that setup in 3 of our 4 pro sports teams.

The Colonel used "coastline-altering event" in his description of this storm's potential.... or so Stacey tells your Senator. This is due to high winds, high tides, and the potential of the storm to sit in place for some time.

She also says that the worst tides/storms for east-facing beaches like Duxbury or Manomet (or Chatham, I suppose) are the late winter-early spring ones, as that's when the tides are nastiest.

This storm is a Plains breeze right now... but when it gets off the coast Sunday... Boo Ya.

I don't work at a bank or anything, so I rely on a sort of internal clock.

I wake with the sun, go to sleep with the werewolves, and generally just walk around kicking ass. The concept of time is for Victims...ie, "What time did the attack occur?"

Funk that. You'll notice that all 4 dead hippies at Kent State were wearing wristwatches. The doomed 9-11 flights were most likely rigidly timed. Time is one of those false concepts of security that only gets in the way when you're trying to run/kill/steal.

I rely on gut instinct. I would have been in off-campus housing at Kent the minute my friends started hurling rocks at the 200 guys with the assault rifles. I can also say that either myself or that sweating-out-of-context Syrian looking guy would have been off Flight 666, or whatever the f*** flight it was.

You really don't have any problem with a chronic philanderer who has had three times as many wives as our current Mormon Presidential candidate going after a guy for getting some brains?

You must want Bush to hang. Clinton told a little white lie while in office. Bush tells lies that are positively dripping with blood.

I mean, Newt broke a few oaths of his own during that time... to a power even greater than the Constitution.

For all the bad things people say about me.... they never hit Ted from Hyannisport with the F Bomb. Hell no... all man, here.

Well...kinda... but I digress...

The point I'm making is that John Edwards should stalk Coulter, then approach her at a speaking engagement. Rather than beating her, though... he should just straight bang her out on stage.... then be like "John Edwards is all Man, ho... now go make me some bacon, and shut up."

She'd do it, too... in all my years practicing psychology (and taking part in the S+M scene), I have never seen a woman crying out for a dominant male presence in her life as badly as Ann Coulter is.

I'm telling you... one night with, say, Rodney Harrison... and Ann would be wearing a peasant dress and voting Libertarian. I see this sort of thing all the time.
