The Planned Giving Council of Cape Cod announces its program for the 13th annual Philanthropy Day on Cape Cod. Philanthropy Day on Cape Cod is one of the biggest events on the Cape aimed at sharing, learning and celebrating philanthropy on Cape Cod. This year the event will be held Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the Resort and Conference Center in Hyannis from 7:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. The morning sessions will end with a luncheon, including award presentations.
The cost for the Seminars and Luncheon is $50. PGCCC and/or EPCCC members will receive a discounted rate of $30. Sponsor a table of 10 for $500. The schedule for this year’s Philanthropy Day will be as follows: Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. Roundtables will be held between 8:00 - 8:45 a.m. and will cover the following topics: Planned Gifts and Estate Planning; Social Networking; Prospect Research; Grant Writing; Tax Laws and Impact; Special Events; Board Development; How to Work with Volunteers; How to Build a Better Board; Integrated Outreach: Linking Your Fundraising, Marketing and Public Relations; Long Range Planning and Strategic Planning Five different Sessions will be from 9:00 – 10:15 a.m. with speakers presenting on the following topics: Fundraising 101; How Going Green can Save You Green and Make an Impression on Your Donors; Orchestrating Major Gift Success; Using Social Networking to Further your Development Strategy; Collaboration: Not Just a Buzzword. The Art, Science and Practice Break with Exhibitors will be between 10:15 – 10:45 a.m. Four different Sessions will be held from 10:45 – 12:00 p.m., with speakers presenting on: • Fundraising 102; So Much Data, So Little Time – Better Use of Data to Maximize Fundraising in Challenging Times; Charitable Trusts – How They Can Benefit You and a Charity; Board Development and Beyond… Lunch and Awards will be held between 12:15 and 2 p.m. Philanthropy Day is aimed at professionals in nonprofit organizations of any size on Cape Cod, their volunteers, board members as well as professional advisors such as attorneys, estate planners, businesses and others. The Planned Giving Council of Cape Cod celebrates the dedication and generosity of support for the nonprofit organizations on Cape Cod and the Islands with the annual distinguished service awards. Awards will be presented to the Outstanding Philanthropist, Outstanding Volunteer, Outstanding Business/Organization and Outstanding Youth or Youth Organization (New!)
