The Champs Homes 2014 Giddy-Up Gala Dance-A-Thon will be on Saturday, April 5 from 1pm to 6pm in the Cape Cod Community College Cafeteria.
The admission is $20 per family, or $10 per person (minimum pledge at the door).
It promises to be a don't-miss, family-friendly, country western dance experience, featuring regional DJ favorites, Flamin’ Raymin & Sizzlin’ Suzzin ‒ Two hot DJs known for igniting their audiences. Whether new to line dancing or a veteran, it makes no difference ‒ everyone dances!
During the breaks, there will be face painting, some comfort food for refueling and prizes for the best dressed cow kids! So, jump into your boots, dust off your hat, grab the kids and head off to Cape Cod Community College for a fun-filled afternoon.
Founded in 1991 by Paul and Carolyn Hebert, CHAMP Homes, a community of six Hyannis residences, provides more than just housing. Since its beginnings, the program has served over 2000 individuals from all over the Cape ‒ Individuals who have found themselves in desperate circumstances with no place to go and with no family support. Their ongoing mission is to provide a safe, therapeutic and nurturing family-type environment for youths and adults experiencing homelessness; to offer spiritual counseling and life skills training to at-risk individuals in transition; and to continuously advocate for the neglected and abandoned people of the Cape Cod community.
The CHAMP Homes' plan, built on the generosity of individuals and businesses with no government contracts involved, is simple and cost-effective. By rebuilding lives at critical moments they have become an enduring solution to homelessness on Cape Cod.
