Falmouth Democratic Town Committee announces two February events

Caucus to be held on February 11, brunch to be held on February 25

The Falmouth Democratic Town Committee has announced two important events in February.  First up, on Saturday, February 11 at 10 a.m., the Falmouth DTC will hold a caucus to elect delegates to the Massachusetts Democratic Party's 2012 nominating convention. The caucus will take place at  the Morse Pond School, 323 Jones Road in Falmouth.  All residents of Falmouth who are registered Democrats are eligible to participate.

The Falmouth Democratic Caucus will elect 21 delegates and four alternates to the Massachusetts Democratic Convention to be held in Springfield on June 2.  Delegates will be divided equally between men and women. Anyone not elected as a delegate or alternate, may apply to the add-on delegates in the categories of youth, minority or disabled, if qualified.

Two weeks after the caucus, on Saturday, February 25, the Falmouth DTC is hosting a brunch at the Coonamessett Inn at 9:30 a.m. Massachusetts Senate President Therese Murray and Congressman Bill Keating will be the special guests.

RSVPs are requested by Monday, February 20, 2012. Tickets are $22 per person and checks must be made payable to FDTC and mailed to PO Box 312, Falmouth, MA 02541.

The Coonamessett Inn is at 311 Gifford Street in Falmouth.
