Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies 35th Anniversary Gala Benefit October 9th
Proceeds benefit research, rescue and education
On Sunday, October 9th at 5:30 pm the Provincetown Center for Coastal Studies will celebrate the Center’s 35th anniversary with a grand gala at Provincetown Town Hall.
This festive evening will honor the Center's three Founders, Dr. Graham Giese, Dr. Charles “Stormy” Mayo and Dr. Barbara Mayo, and will also recognize the Founding Members of the Mayo Giese Coastal Legacy Society.
Guests will enjoy a gourmet dinner prepared by Cosmos Catering featuring the best local, sustainable produce; fine wine and beer from Truro Vineyards of Cape Cod and the Land Ho! Restaurant; and a special performance by the Cape Cod Symphony Orchestra Ensemble.
Distinguished guests speakers include award-winning local poet Elizabeth Bradfield and Dr. Heather Goldstone, author of the renowned CLIMATIDE blog and reporter for the Cape and Island’s NPR radio stations.
All proceeds benefit the Center's research, rescue and education programs.
Tickets are $135 members; $150 non-members. Tables of eight or ten are available.

Wellfleet Dines Out begins September 8--good food, great cause
Wellfleet Dines Out begins on Thursday, September 8 and runs through the beginning of October. The month-long event is the perfect time to enjoy local cuisine and give to a good cause.
On the days listed below, some of Wellfleet's best restaurants will donation a percentage of their proceeds to the Friends of the Wellfleet Council on Aging. 
So eat up and support the many valuable programs offered by the town's council on aging.
- Thursday, September 8 - Bookstore Restaurant, 50 Kendrick Ave., Wellfleet
- Saturday, September 10 & 17 - PJ's Family Restaurant, 2616 Route 6, Wellfleet
- Thursday, September 15 - Winslow’s Tavern, Main Street, Wellfleet
- Friday, September 16 - Duck Creeke Tavern, 70 Main Street, Wellfleet
- Wednesday, September 21 - Moby Dick’s Restaurant, 3225 Route 6, Wellfleet
- Sunday, October 2 - The Wicked Oyster, 50 Main Street, Wellfleet
- Tuesday, October 4 - Van Rensslaer’s, 1019 Route 6, Wellfleet
- Wednesday, October 5 - Mac’s Shack, 91 Commercial Street, Wellfleet
- To Be Announced - The Lighthouse Restaurant, 317 Main Street, Wellfleet
