Fish and game licenses no longer available at most town halls as of January 2012

The Town of Mashpee announced in a release that as of January 2012, state fish and game licenses will no longer be sold at the Mashpee Town Hall. Similarly, licenses will not be available at most other town halls on Cape Cod and in Southeastern Massachusetts.

All licenses are now available online through the Division of Fisheries & Wildlife's MassFishHunt website here.

Residents who do not have a computer or are interested in obtaining  2012 fish and game licenses in person, may do so at a variety of other locations including stores such as Wal-Mart and Dick's Sporting Goods and numerous local bait and tackle shops.  License are also available at the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife SE District Office on Bournedale Road in Buzzards Bay.  A complete list of license vendors in Southeastern Massachusetts is available here.

 

Chatham seeks residents to join talent bank

Residents interested in volunteering are encouraged to apply

Chatham is seeking residents interested in joining the town's talent bank of committee members. If you are a resident of Chatham who is also registered to vote in Chatham and are interested in volunteering in your community, you are encouraged to apply for the talent bank.

The selectmen make most committee appointments, which the exception of finance committee members who are appointed by the town moderator.

The talent bank form is available online here. Applicants may indicate interest in more than thirty committees.
