Town notes from around the Cape.Fish and game licenses no longer available at most town halls as of January 2012
The Town of Mashpee announced in a release that as of January 2012, state fish and game licenses will no longer be sold at the Mashpee Town Hall. Similarly, licenses will not be available at most other town halls on Cape Cod and in Southeastern Massachusetts.
All licenses are now available online through the Division of Fisheries & Wildlife's MassFishHunt website here.
Residents who do not have a computer or are interested in obtaining 2012 fish and game licenses in person, may do so at a variety of other locations including stores such as Wal-Mart and Dick's Sporting Goods and numerous local bait and tackle shops. License are also available at the Division of Fisheries and Wildlife SE District Office on Bournedale Road in Buzzards Bay. A complete list of license vendors in Southeastern Massachusetts is available here.
