Cindy Sheehan, anti-war activist to speak in Falmouth & Harwich this weekend
Famed anti-war activist on Cape for the Myth America Tour
Cindy Sheehan will
speak at the Morse Pond School on Jones Road in Falmouth on Saturday, June 27th at 7pm and at the Brooks Free Library on Main Street in Harwich on Sunday, June 28th at 4pm.
Sheehan began her anti-war activism after her eldest son, Casey, was killed in Iraq on 4/4/2004. She was nominated for a Nobel Prize in 2005.
She recently published an internet booklet entitled "Myth America: 10 Greatest Myths of the Robber Class and the Case for Revolution." This is one of several books Sheehan has written on activism.
The talks are co-sponsored by Cape Codders for Peace & Justice, the Fellowship for Reconciliation, Women's International League for Peace and Freedom, Veterans for Peace, American Friends Service Committee, Falmouth Peace, Falmouth Anti-War Vigil, Upper Cape Green Party, Citizens for Informed Community.
